Hello - as you read this I am actually away camping in the Lakes! Oh the power of Scheduled posts!
So here is this weeks showcase of a fab Dr Digi image called X-ray Raymond. He's a pretty new addition to the collection and I wanted to use him a bit different to a Get well card or something similar. I think he works well as a "Manly" Valentines or just a note to the other half to tell him he's still got it!
I used a Die-namics zig zag die to cut some Doodlebug lime green glitter paper- I thought they looked like a hospital monitor so attached them to some Bazzill card stock which has a matt & gloss stripe finish. I printed and coloured X-Ray Raymond with promarkers and used a silver pen to highlight the bits that should be metal. I mounted him on some Peacock glitter card - also from Doodlebug and I used a corner rounder on both. I added a Hobbycraft heart sticker to the x-ray and also in the wording rather than spelling out "heart". The letters are stickers from Doodlebug that I would be lost without - I use them on virtually everything!
I used these promarkers and flexmarkers -
Skin - Antique white, Blush, Soft peach, Coral & Spice.
Gown -Turquoise & Marine.
Eyes - Cloud Blue
X-Ray - Ice Greys
Machines - Blue Greys (flex)
I used red along with Lime Green and Pear Green to accent the machines.
I would like to enter this card into the following challenges -
Simply Papercrafts - 7 ATG.
Crafts Galore - ATG.
Freshly Brewed Challenge - ATG
Inspiration Destination - ATG
Craft your passion - ATG
Thats All for now folks - Heres hoping we've had a dry weekend and I'm not suffering Hyperthermia!

Looking Pretty Bird!
Here's my latest card for I love Promarkers. This week the challenge theme is Things with wings and the Sponsor is QKR Stampede.
I've used a digi image called Looking Pretty and you can find her by clicking on the link. I wanted to make her bright and pretty despite her stubbly chubby legs!!
I've used a digi image called Looking Pretty and you can find her by clicking on the link. I wanted to make her bright and pretty despite her stubbly chubby legs!!
I used Doodlebug Tangerine glitter paper and mounted some dark blue almost purple paper from The Paper company for the background. I die cut the Frame from silver mirri card using a Sizzix die and used this to frame the saying "What makes you different, makes you beautiful." This was from a digi set from Pink Petticoat. I added three prima pearls in co-ordinating three colours of the Bird along with some gem Swirls to add some extra glamour. I also used a silver pen and a little star dust Stickles to highlight bits of the birds feathers. I also added a little glaze on her beak to make it shine.
I coloured the image using these promarkers & Flexmarkers -
Legs & Beak - Buttercup, Tulip & Canary.
Feathers - Baby pink, Cerise, Carmine & Magenta.
Tail feathers - Gold, Bright Orange & Orange.
I'm pleased with how she has turned out - It reminds me of the Song "Shake your Tail Feathers!" Makes me want to shimmy around!!
I'd like to enter this card into the following challenges -

Papertake Weekly - Trio Tastic.
Top Tip Tuesday - Name That Tune.

ATTENTION! IT'S DADS DAY!
Morning - again I'm running a little late... I've worked it out
though - it's when I work late shifts as I really don't like getting up
out of my bed!! I certainly would not appreciate Corporal Clegg from Dr Digi yelling at me to do my PTI!
Well as its Father's Day - I had to post a card for the Dads. And don't they all love planes and military shows! It was also the perfect excuse to colour Corporal Clegg in with a red and blue theme. I like him in these colours but I'm not sure which Country he serves...
I can't express strongly enough how glad I am that I found Dr Digi images. They are perfect for all the Dads and Lads cards!
I made this card on a DL card and realised I have not made a DL card for Donkeys years... I used to do them all the time but now my go to shape is square 6x6 or C5. I think the DL has gone out of fashion because all paper pads are square and as you can see I have got a small join visible behind Corporal Clegg but you can't really notice it on the striped paper. Think i'm going to go on a mission to bring the DL back!!!
The papers are both from Doodlebug Stars & Stripes collection and the letters are from the Skinny collection at Doodlebug. I die cut the plane from more paper from the collection using a Cuttlebug Die that I've had for a while. The wooden exclamation mark is from Studio Calico which I bought at Hobbycraft. The Black swirl gems are also from Hobbycrafts collection. I used a little glaze on the hat, shoes and cain.
I coloured Corporal Clegg with these Promarkers & Flex markers -
Skin - Antique White, Blush, Soft peach, Coral & Spice.
Clothing - Red, Poppy, Ruby, Cardinal & Burgandy.
Leather - Saddle Brown & Henna
Shoes - Ice Greys & Black
The blue details - Egyptian blue, True Blue & Azure.
I also used a gold Pilot pen to colour the buckles, cain and embellish his hat and buttons.
I would like to enter this card into the following challenges -
Digi Galore - Men.
Krafty Hands - For the Dad's
My Sheri Crafts - Masculine
Art Impression - Red , white & Blue.
Case this sketch - Layout.
Pennys Paper Challenge - ATG
Crafty Gals - Red white & blue.
Cards 4 Guyz - Fathers Day
Die Cutting Divas - Masculine Theme.
Right now I have to go and see my Dad and if I'm lucky the parents might make me brunch!!
See you next week

Summer Holiday...
There is a new challenge today over at I Love Promarkers - The theme this week is Transport. This fits perfectly with Fathers Day - which will soon be with us. The challenge is sponsored by Dr Digi and the image I have used is called Summer Holiday.
To make this card - I used a small c5 card and over hung the image to fit in a square envelope. I used my Friskars cutter to cut the circles as it gives me so many different sizes. The Patterned papers are all from My Minds Eye - Hello World collection. I mounted the papers on to Bazzill card stock and added some homemade enamel dots. The string twine is actually from a clothes label ... (I always cut on the Hanger tag ribbons from clothes as well!!) I have added glaze on the windows and lights of the camper van and also on his glasses but you can't really see it on the picture. The sentiment is from a stamp set from Some Odd Girl.
I used these Promarkers and flexmarkers to colour the image -
Camper van - Tea Green, Pastel green, Soft Green, Mint Green & Island Lagoon. I added detail with a silver pen also.
Seats & Wheels - Cool Greys.
Lights - Canary & Gold / Halloween & Heatwave.
Top - Egyptian Blue & Grey
Suitcases - Gold & Halloween, China Blue & Egyptian Blue , Rose Peach & Lipstick red.
Belts and rope - Cocoa & Cinnamon.
I would like to enter this card into the following challenges -
Thanks for popping by this week.
See you again soon,

Hole in one Hal - Father's Day
This is Hole in one Hal from Dr Digi. This is my latest DT post over at the Dr Digi blog. I've made this for Father's Day for the future Father in law.
I used 3 different papers from My Minds Eye Lime Twist range called Out of the Blue. Its one of my favourites for Men's cards and I am nearly running out - but I'm not sure its around anymore.
I fussy cut around the digi image and die cut two scalloped circles one in Salt Bazzill Swiss dot and one in black which I used to mount everything. I used a Friskars edge punch on the Orange paper and also on the black but staggered it so that it created an mounted edge.
I die cut the Happy and Day from the same black bazzill card stock and used Amy Tangerine - American crafts Thickers to spell out Fathers.
I used 3d foam to attach Hal to the die cut and also to attach 3 white card candi from Craftworks Cards that reminded me of Golf balls! I also added a little glaze to his sun visor.
To make this card I coloured the image with Promarkers and Flexmarkers.
Skin - Antique white, blush, soft peach, coral & spice.
Hair, golf bag & Shoes - Ice Greys 1 - 5
Top - Soft Peach, Mango, Peach & Orange.
Shorts - Capri Blue, Midnight blue & Navy Blue.
Clubs - Ice Grey 2, 4 & 5
Socks & Bag strap - Lime Zest, Lime Green & Pear Green.
I also outlined the whole image with Frozen Lake.
I would like to enter this card into the following challenges -

Hula Girl Mae.
Hello - Its bonus post day... Two posts on one day - Blimey where did that come from. Actually the earlier Dr Digi post I wrote last night as I've learnt how to Schedule posts!! As I work shifts, it makes life so much easier.
The image is from Some Odd Girl and is a digi stamp called Hula Girl Mae. I made her for the Weeks Special challenges over at Some Odd Girl community. I love these images and they were what got me addicted to digis - realising how easy they were and the choice of them is huge. I love being able to resize them and use parts of them - they are so versatile.
I made this card using a kraft base. The beach scene background is from Simple Stories - Goodday Sunshine as are the heart stickers and the Sunshine label. I used yellow gems from Hobbycraft to highlight the sun! I cut the Tree using a Sizzix die from more Simple Stories paper and the leaves are from Doodlebug.
I used these promarkers and flexmarkers on Mae -
Skin - Antique White, Blush, Soft Peach, Coral & Spice.
Eyes - Pastel Green & Frosted Jade.
Hair - Burgandy, Light fawn, Nutmeg, Henna, Saddle Brown & Rosewood.
Flower - Canary & Magenta.

Dunderton Academicals RFC.
Wow its Sunday morning again already! These weeks are flying by too quickly. Today Im showing you my DT card for over at Dr Digi using Dunderton Academicals FC and his Balls. I used the balls to change the image from a Football player to a Rugby Player.
I'm trying to get ahead and make some Fathers Day cards ready for 21st June. I made this one with my Dad in mind - Who played rugby well into his 50's. Now at 70 - its a more sedate affair of Bowls! I have many happy memories of days spent hanging around the rugby club watching Dad play whilst the Mum were in the club house cooking up Pie and mash. I've made this card in the team colours and Derek looks more like my Dad today rather than back when he was playing!
I cut the image using Spellbinders Dies which I mounted on to the Bazzill Green stripe using the large Nestabilities. I cut a strip of Bazzill Black stripe glossed paper and stuck this to the side. I used homemade enamel dots in co-ordinating red and green and added the letters DAD using Doodlebug stickers. I also added a little glaze to his glasses to make them shine.
I used these Promarkers & Flexmarkers on Derek Dunderton -
Skin - Antique white, blush, soft peach, coral & Spice.
Shirt - Red, poppy & Cardinal Red / Forest green & apple
Shorts - Ice Greys
Shoes - Warm Greys
Grass - Meadow green, Forest green & apple
Sky - Glacier blue.
I would like to enter this card into the following challenges -
Digi Galore - Fathers Day
Creative Corner - Just for Dad.
Patties Creations - Fathers Day.
C.R.A.F.T - Colour Combo
Double Click - Fathers Day.
Inky Impressions - Make it for a Man
Simon says - Make it Masculine
Colour Throwdown - Colour combo
Love to Scrap - Male Call.
The Paper Girl -Fathers Day
All for now - See you Wed if not before....

Retro Selfie
Hi All - bit late with this post as it has already gone live on the I LOVE PROMARKERS blog, but thats what happens when you work shifts I suppose -you have to be a bit flexible!
I made this card for my latest DT post - the new challenge is Paper Piecing and it is sponsored by Kenny K.. The image Ive used is called Retro Selfie
You can find her by clicking on the link. I think she is a great image as Vintage is very "in" right now and so is the Selfie - so to combine the two is a bit of genius!!
To make this card I printed and coloured the image with Promarkers (Listed below...) The paper I have used is all from my stash of October Afternoon - the flowers and the demin effect. I looked at a few designs using this and they were coloured like a dress with a belt but I never saw that -I always saw a separate top and shorts / skirt... What do you think?
I printed the image out the same size on to the demin effect paper and cut out the bits that I then pieced on to this image.
The film strip is a die from Tim Holtz which I cut from a really think matt black card which is lovely (Had to go through cutter a few times to cut right through...)
The ribbon is as always from my stash... I don't keep the reel so I never know where its from - I just have them all in colour co-ordinated jars! I also tie'd a small camera charm with thin black ribbon.
The greeting and Numbers are die cuts from the Memory Box and the yellow gems are from Hobbycraft.
The Promarkers & Flexmarkers used are -
Skin - Antique White, Blush, Soft Peach, Coral, Spice.Cocktail pink & Antique pink on her cheeks
Eyes - Capri & Powder Bue, & Lips are lipstick red.
Hair & Shoes - Raw Sienna, Sleigh Bells, Pineapple Crush, Summer Sun & Eggnog.
Stool - Lipstick red & Poppy
Camera - Henna, Cocoa, Cinnamon, Sleigh bells & Pineapple Crush.
I would like to enter this card into the following challenges -
Sister Act - ATG
Thats Crafty Challenge - Numbers
CCEE Stampers - Paper Piecing.
Clear it out - Use your stash
Papertake Weekly -ATG
Why not make a card and enter the challenge at I Love Promarkers...Be great to see you and there are Prizes to win each week!
