Harry Potter

There is a new challenge today at I Love Promarkers and the theme is to use More than 3 Layers.
I have had this image from Tiddly Inks but never quite known what to use it for, but then I was asked to make a birthday card for a young Lady called Jade who is turning 13yrs. She loves Harry Potter and this Wizard and Wizardette digi was perfect to put together to be the three famous characters. The card is from her brother so it couldn't be too mushy or girlie. I hope this is the exact balance with a bit of pink and glitter.

The background is from Mambi Paper which is lovely with a green foil effect and I die cut the Banner using a Die-namics Die cut from Simple Stories DIY Boutique range. I added the Black gem swirls which are from Hobbycraft and some Cosmic Shimmer and glaze to the
Letters are from Doodlebug and The green glitter card is also from Doodlebug. The Enamel dots are ones I made myself by melting Perle beads. (This was so easy to do - just google it!)
I got the big glittery resin owl from Ebay - Im not sure what make he is but he is fab!!

The promarkers and Flexmarkers I used are -
Scarves - Red Sweater, Burgandy & Mustard & Sleigh Bells.
Cloaks & shoes - Cool greys.
Trousers  - Warm Greys
Skin - Antique White, Blush, Soft Peach, Coral & Spice.
Harry's Hair - Warm Greys and Umber

Nice List - Christmas in July!

I have been resisting all the talk of Christmas in the crafty world but... I've finally succumbed! I can only apologise! But it is only 152 days away - yep I'm Sorry again!

So here is Father Christmas from Dr Digi and the image is called Naughty or Nice.

I have left a space where I will use letter stickers to add someones name to the front before I send this card... so my friends and family still have time to earn the place on my nice list. (And I am definitely open to bribery!)

I've made this card using paper from Simple Stories - December Documented range. I mounted it onto Bazzill Swiss dot card in red. I used a Martha Stewart punch to create the zigzag edge and glued on to it some Christmas ribbon from Hobbycraft. I added some Doodlebug red enamel dots and also some green homemade dots. I have used 3D foam to make Father Christmas stand out a little.

Father Christmas has been coloured with Promarkers and Flexmarkers -
Skin - Antique white, Blush, Soft Peach, Coral & Spice.
Trousers - Red, Poppy, Ruby & Cardinal.
Shirt - Warm greys.
List - Satin, Tan & Antique white
Boots & Braces - Ice Greys
Eyes - Powder blue.
I also used a little gold pen to highlight buttons and I added some Frosted Lace stickles to Father Christmas' beard and hair.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges -

CAS Butterfly.

There is a new challenge beginning over at I love Promarkers and the theme for the next week is CAS - Clean and Simple. The sponsor is Eureka Stamps and I have used the image called Lacy Butterfly

I created the background using a Memory Box stencil called Mini Dots. I painted through the stencil with Cosmic Shimmer Twinkling H2O's in Harebell using a watercolour brush.
I attached some silver shimmery twine in random circles and put the Butterfly over the top with 3d foam.

I used Soft peach, Rose peach & Tequilla Sunrise with Lavender, Orchid, Amethyst & Purple promarkers to colour the Butterfly. I also used some Gold pen to colour the small dots around the edge of the wings and then added some Icicle Stickles over the butterfly to give it some simmer.

Finally to keep the card Clean and Simple I used a white Peel off saying "Hello"

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges -

You're a classic!

Morning all - This is possibly my first post for Dr Digi where I've not used my Promarkers to colour an image. With this image I printed the digi called Mini Cooper straight onto patterned papers.

There are loads of images at Dr Digi which talk for themselves and need little else to look fab!.

To make this card I've used Simple Stories "Snap" range to make this card - one page made the background & one page I used to cut out frame - and I did this by hand... no fancy cutters or dies. I cut out the windows from the mini and then just added a little silver pen on the metal details of the card and added a little shade on the wheels. A few 3d foam pads and letter stickers and we are done!
It just shows you don't have to have loads of expensive pens and equipment to make special cards for any occassion and this image is just £1.00!

I have a busy & exciting week ahead with wedding dress shopping but will be back on Wed with the new challenge at I love Promarkers - if not before depending on my productivity!!
Have a great week people

Fox Terrier Foxy.

Here is my latest creation for the I Love Promarkers challenge blog. The image is sponsored by Just Inklined and the theme is Pets. The image I have chosen is called Fox Terrier Foxy. I thought he was very cute and didn't want to spoil him with my rubbish colouring of fur so I kept the colour simple and used only the warm grey family.

The red and white spotty paper is from Echo park 6x6 essentials pack and the striped paper from Doodlebug stars & stripes collection.  I hand cut the edge shape from the card the image was printed on and used 3d foam to stick this to the card base with the patterned papers underneath. I used a peel off to make the " Friendship" greeting.

I have only used a few Promarkers on this card - Warm Greys on the terrier and a mix of Red, Poppy & Cardinal red on the scarf.
I did add a little glaze to his nose to make it shiny and look wet.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges -
Pink Gem Challenge - Red, white & blue.
Crafty Boots - Stripes.
Pinspirational - Animal Tea Party photo
Stamping Sensations - Feature a creature.

Thanks for calling by - See you all soon,

Jogger Mae.

Here's my latest card for the I love Promarkers blog and this weeks theme is Sport. I'm a little late posting this on my blog - so I apologize. I've had this digi image for a while and she is Jogger Mae from Some Odd Girl.

I go jogging a couple of times a week - Not far mind - usually about 5 or 6 k and I'm knackered!! I only do it because I love eating chocolate and cake. But I'm actually at the point now where I miss it if I don't manage to get out a least once a week. Having said that it doesn't seem to be getting any easier!! And I certainly wouldn't go out with my tummy wobbling around in shorts and a crop top... there is a big baggy t-shirt over the top when I go jogging!

To make this card I used background papers from Crate paper - Maggie Holmes and On trend collections. I also die cut a skyline scene from Shimmery Blue bazzill and attached some Doodlebug enamel dots and an arrow in co-ordinating colours. I then added a Die cut Happy from Memory Box.

I used these promarkers & Flexmarkers -
Skin - Spice, Coral, Soft peach, Blush & Antique White
Hair - Satin, Sandstone, Cocoa & Walnut.

Top - Baby Pink, Cerise & Vermillion.
Trainers - Bright Orange

Busty Brunnhilde.

This lovely lady is Brunnhilde (Excuse me not adding the inflection... I don't know how to!!) I think she is fab with her ample Bussom and booming voice!

At first I was going to colour her in with reds, gold and black and make her a very strong character but then I decided she just longed for her femininity to noted. How could I not with that bust!! So I went with the coral and turquoise and pretty flowers -  balanced it with the strong wood effect background. I'm pleased with how she has turned out... she won't take any messing around our Brunnhilde but she also just wants to be woo'ed and loved! So go pay a visit to Dr Digi and give her some attention.

The wood effect paper is from Maggie Holmes - Style effect range and I mounted this on Bazzill basics in coral. I used a Martha Stewart Punch to die cut the flower paper which is from Crate Paper 14 range. I also use the punch with Turquoise Bazzill Swiss dot paper which I layered on top of the flower paper. I glued this to the top of the wood paper and tied a gold ribbon around and into a bow. I also slipped the greeting underneath which is in a matching Turquoise colour and is from Pebbles. Finally I added Turquoise gems from Papermania which I arranged in 3's.

I used these Promarkers and Flexmarkers on Brunnhilde -
Skin - Antique White, Blush, Soft Peach, Coral & Spice.
Sheild - Warm Greys and for the wood Raw Sienna & Saddle Brown.
Horns - Satin & Sandstone.
Hair - Buttercup, Pineapple Crush & Sleigh bells.
Amour & Sword - Blue Greys
Skirt - Pastel Pink, Cocktail pink, Salmon pink & Antique Pink.

Jane's 40th Birthday.

I'm a little late posting this card as I have been away this weekend at my friends 40th Birthday party at there house in Llanbedrog.
Jane is one of the many friends turning 40 this year. I've know her since I was about 4 yrs old and is more like a sister really, so I know I can get away with a cheeky card! The comment says, "By the time she turned 40, Jane had mastered Multi-tasking." And I know for a fact that she uses her Laptop on the loo!!

The party was fab and we all had lots to drink. I made Vodka jelly and there was a bouncy castle - which we allowed the kids to play on for a little while.
The image is from Dr Digi and is called Airfresh Fiona. I added some gem swirls from the spray of the airfreshner over the top of the background paper. I mounted the orange cut out paper from K& Co onto Black to make it stand out and I mounted the image and caption onto black also. The caption I did on the computer. I then added some red and black ribbon to tie the colours together and a Happy Birthday die cut in mirri card. I'm pleased with how it turned out.

I used these promarkers and flexmarkers to colour the image -
Skin - Spice, coral, soft peach, blush & Antique white.
Toilet and roll - Blue Greys
Computer - Warm greys
Top - Buttercup, mustard & Pinapple crush.
Cushion - Red, poppy, Ruby & Cardinal red.
