This weeks challenge at I love Promarkers is asking for cards made with the Men in mind.
I've made this card using an image from Walting Mouse stamps - Half Pint Heroes
and made it for my friends Birthday on behalf of his new daughter Darcey. It was his first birthday as a Daddy! Darcey and I had a chat and she wanted it to be bold with blue and red. Her Daddy loves cars and bikes so I went with the car stamp.
The papers I've used are from Doodlebug - Kraft in colour which I mounted onto red Card and Red swiss dot paper which I used with a star punch and then mounted onto black. I stuck the stars on with 3D foam to make them stand out a little. I also attached some red chevron ribbon from The Ribbon Girl.
I stamped and coloured the image and then I used a corner rounder punch and did the same once I had mounted it onto the black card. I also added a few Blue papermania gems and I die cut the Silver Happy Birthday from Mirri card using a die from Paper smooches. I used lots of bits and scraps - I hoard!!So these little pieces are great for using up my stash.
I used these promarkers and flexmarkers to colour the image in -
Man - Soft peach, blush & antique white with cocktail pink cheeks.
Hair - Raw Sienna
Car - Poppy, Red & Cardinal red.
Lights - Bright orange & Canary
Wheels & hood -Warm greys
I edged the image with Powder blue and also used some silver pen to add details and a white gel pen to add highlights.
I would like to enter this card into the following challenges -
Cards for guys - things beginning with M - Motor!
Creative card crew - Masculine
Without words - dot the boys
Always playing with paper - Birthday.
Craft your passion - ATG
Come and get it - Use your stash.
Lots of creativity at the mo so I may be back before Sunday with another post... we will see how we get on!
Leave a comment to say Hi if you pop in...

Gluteus Maximus
This is Gluteus Maximus from Dr Digi.
Look at him... all poised like a coiled spring - ready for any action that comes his way! He is certainly no Bum lazing around.
I ... on the other hand am quite the opposite this Sunday Morning and may just hide in my bed today... I spent all yesterday at the Rugby club watching the local match and then England's World cup game. There were a few local bands playing and a BBQ set up too, so obviously I also had to partake in a little social drinking....
How ace is this image? I loved colouring him and I kept it quite traditional with Reds and Greys but I liked the touch of gold. I'm pleased with the way they have come together and its still a masculine card whilst being bright and colourful.
The 3 different patterned papers on this card are all from the Print Shop collection by Studio Calico. (Which I got for TK Maxx! A big 12x12 pad for £7.99 - Bargain!) I mounted the black grid onto Black bazzill and the red patterened paper onto red Bazzill just to make it stand out a little more. I glued 3 strips of Ribbon from a collection from American Crafts to form tabs and I added some yellow homemade Enamel dots. The greeting is a clear sticker from Kaiser Crafts and they are fab! I bought several packs of different occassions!
To colour Gluteus I used these promarkers and flexmarkers -
Skin - Antique White, blush, soft peach, coral, spice.
Body armour & Hat - Ice greys
Cape and plume - Poppy, Ruby & Cardinal
Sandles, skirt & Spear - Raw Sienna, Tan & Saddle brown.
T-shirt - Warm Grey 1-4
I also used a gold pen on the spear and his buttons.
I would like to enter this card into the following challenges -
Crafty Catz - Men at work (w)
Through the purple Haze - Happy Birthday (m)
Die cut Divas - Sketch challenge (m)
Freshly brewed Blog - 3 pattern papers (W)
Colour Q - colours (W)
Passion for Promarkers - Boys will be Boys.
Hope you all have a lovely day,

Confession time - I picked this image as I wanted to make a pun on
speedy recovery but tragically I didn't have enough Letter "e" rub ons
so I had to go with the greeting of GET WELL SOON! These rub ons are on a Jillibean soup sticker.
I have used green spotty paper from Doodlebug Kraft in colour collection and the tree paper is from Echo Park Country Drive. I mounted everything onto Brown Bazzill shimmer card.
I cut the image out using the Friskars cutter and layered this onto the brown also.
I raided my stash for ribbon and a button which I tired with some twine.
I used these pro/flexmarkers to colour the turtle -
Shell - Lime Zest, Lime twist, Lime green & Pear greem
Body - Emerald & lush green
Eye - Aubergine, purple velvet & wild orchid.
I promised previously to show you a picture of my stashes and my craft room so...

Making Grimble Grumble Bright.
This is Grimble Grumble from Dr Digis House of Stamps.
Officially he is a Gnome but I decided to use him as a Christmas Elf and make Grimble Grumble a Bright and Merry chap whether he likes it or not!! I think he is rather pleased with his sparkly beard!
I used two different patterns of Doodlebug papers from the Frosty Friends collection. I cut this at an angle which is a great way to use up some scraps. I also cut a circle using my Friskars cutter and mounted on to this another smaller circle cut from a plain piece from the same Doodlebug collection.
I added the Wooden "Merry & Bright" which is from Hobbycraft and scattered some gems around on the card for a bit of bling. I used some Star dust stickles on his beard and trim on his hat and I also used a gold pen on his buckle and the bell on his hat.
I used these pro / flexmarkers -
Skin - Coral, Soft peach, Blush, Antique White - I added some baby pink on his nose to make it rosey
Beard - Warm Greys
Boots - Ocean Teal, Turqouise, Marine & Emerald
Shirt - Imperial Purple & Red Violet.
Pants & hat - Poppy, Ruby & Cardinal red.
Jacket & eyes - Powder blue & Bluebell.
Belt and soles - Cool grey 2 - 5.
I would like to enter this card into the following challenges -
The Pencil case - B- Bright.
52 Christmas card - For a man
CRAFT - add some bling
Crafty girls creation - atg
I apologise its a Christmas Card but it is only 98 sleeps away!
Right thats all from me for now... got to go and creep around the house all day as the other half has been on nights so is snoring away...
Take Care,

Autumn Leaves
Morning - This post is my latest creation for the DT at I love Promarkers. The theme this week is
Autumn and I have used this image from Tiddly Inks called Wryn's Leaves.
I love the Autumn colours - although not quite my usual bright schemes - they are still so colourful. I have used 3 different sheets of paper and they are all from Simple Stories collection, ironically called I Heart Summer - they are very warm shades but still perfect for Autumn.
I die cut 3 leaves from some different colour paper scraps and I used a little hole punch to tie them together with twine, which I then tied in a bow on the button (As always from my stash of buttons & ribbon). The greeting is from Jillibean Soup and was a perfect colour match. I also added a few enamel dots from My Minds Eye Jubilee collection. I hand cut the wave and used a corner rounder (is that a word??) on the image panel and based Kraft card.
I used these promarkers and Flexmarkers to colour Wryn -
Skin - Antique white, Blush, Soft Peach, Coral & Spice.
Hair - Chestnut & Raw Sienna.
Leaves - Grass & Forest, Summer Sun & Sleigh Bells, Honeycomb & Spice, Lime Zest & Lime Green, Pesto & Olive, Maroon & Burgundy.
Pile of leaves - Mixture of the above colours as well as Soft Khaki.
Background - Khaki, Icicle & Ivory.
Dog - Warm Greys.
I would like to enter this card into the following challenges -
Make the day Special - Colour choice 1
Clear it out - Autumn / stash - Leaves.
Creative Card Crew - Fall.
Dream Valley - Autumn colours.
Our Crafty corner - Autumn Colour.
The Kraft Journal - Take your pick.
Digidesigns - Fabulous Fall.
Inkspirational - Colours - Orange & Green.
That's Crafty - Lovely Leaves.
Speak soon lovelies, Thanks for stopping by...

Bite me Vlad.
This is Vlad from Dr Digi. Halloween is only round the corner and there are loads of fab images at Dr Digi that are perfect for the spooky season... I didn't use my usual skin combo on him as I wanted him to look - well... grey and dead!!
I was originally going to use him for a birthday card with some kind of pun about Counting and birthdays but struggled to word it so maybe I'll will figure that out for another time. But Vlad would be great not only for Halloween cards but also valentines and birthdays.
My other half had the bright idea of using Red nail varnish to make the drops of blood and I think they are pretty effective. (Although I think my hand cut bats leave a little to be desired... maybe I'll perfect those too!) I die cut a circle from black card stock and placed gold card behind it to appear like the moon. I used some Glittery Doodlebug card stock down the sides.
I used some letters from Doodlebug on mounted these on to white card to make the greeting.
I used these promarkers and flexmarkers to colour Vlad -
Skin - Antique White & Ice Greys
Sash - Poppy, Ruby & Cardinal Red.
Cape - Purple Velvet & Imperial Purple
Cape & Suit - Cool grey 5,4,3 & Black.
Hair - Black & Egyptian blue.
Icicle to shade shirt.
Gold pen on medal and button.
See you all soon,

A special card for Nan's 80th
This post is to show a special card I made for my boyfriends Nan who turned 80 years old recently. Not that you would think it to watch her - she is as fit as a fiddle.
I used a stamped image from Stamping Bella called Uptown Girl Pippa loves to plant.
The image was perfect as Nan loves her garden and we had also bought her some lovely silver & pearl flower earrings, which I made a little card for. (Picture below...)
I've used a digital image from Etsy shop - KB and Friends to print the Vintage bingo cards,
for the background as this combines Nan's love for Bingo and the family!
The coral flower paper is from Carta Bella - Hello Again range and the mint green flower paper is from AC Dear Lizzy 5th & Frolic.
I have used bazzill swiss dot cardstock for the die cut and punched leaves, along with a load of different paper flowers which I bought from The Ribbon Girl.
The greeting is from Pebbles and I attached the button with some natural twine. I also used Doodlebug letters to spell Nan and add 80th. I've used a large 8 X 8 white card blank and mounted everything on kraft card. I also used a Martha Stewart punch to make corners from the left over Kraft. Finally I added a load of gems for some extra bling and various colours of liquid pearls in the middle of the flowers!
I used these Promarkers and Flexmarkers -
Skin - Antique White, blush, soft peach & coral.
Hair - Buttercup, Pineapple Crush, Mustard & Sleigh Bells.
Flowers - Antique Pink & Salmon Pink / Carmine & Baby pink / Buttercup & Mango.
Leaves - Leaf green, Apple & Forest Green.
Pots - Terracotta & Cinnamon
Pinny & Gloves - Pastel Green & Frosted Jade.
Shorts - Denim blue & Midnight Blue.
Watering Can - Ice Greys & Silver pen.
These are the earrings -
I would like to enter this card into the following challenges -
Digi Choosday - Use 2 or more papers.
The Ribbon Girl - Add flowers
Crafts Galore - ATG
Lets Craft & Create - Dies and punches.
Chocolate, Coffee & Card - Fancy & Feminine
Crafty Girls Creations - ATG

Les' Retirement card.
Morning Everyone - I know you will be reading this in the light of
day but I am writing this in our holiday home in Wales after having just
got in from eating the biggest Mexican meal and drinking a jug or two
of Cosmopolitan! I really feel like I need to let it all hang out and
relax now just like Walter!!
This card has been made for the boyfriends work buddy who is soon to retire. He has some grand plans for his free time but they all joke that he will end up spending his days sat around in his underpants, so Weekend Walter was the perfect choice. And because its a Digi image I was able to make this a big 8 x 8" card so there was plenty of room for all the good wishes.
The background papers are all from Echo Park - Note to Self collection as are the letters I've used for the greeting. I have edged the pattern papers in Bazzill Basics deep red. I have used 3d foam to stick Walter on and make him stand out a little. I also put a little bit of glaze on to his glasses.
I have used these Promarkers and Flex markers -
Skin - Antique White, Blush, Soft Peach, Coral & Spice
Dresing gown - Reef Blue, Twilight Sky, Polar Blue,Caribbean Blue & April showers.
Hair & newspapers - Warm Greys
Slippers - Saffron, Raw Sienna, Chestnut & Burnt Umber.
Pants - Ivory,Satin & Pastel Beige. Heatwave, Cardinal red & Burgundy.
I also went right the way around his outline with Icicle.
I would like to enter this card into the following challenges -
Doodle Pantry Digital - ATC
Craftyhazelnuts pattern paper challenge.
CCC Digi creations - Add a sentiment.
Have a fab day and week. I will try not to eat so much for the rest of the week!!
