Green Apples.

Morning - Today sees a new challenge starting at The Paper Shelter.  And there is a photo for inspiration which you can see on the above link. I have used an image called Green Apples
and she just had to have red curly hair like Annie. I used this image as the photo made me think of harvest and farmers markets.

All the papers I have used are from American Crafts Dear Lizzy - Lucky charm and I glued these to Kraft card. I die cut the image using My Favourite Things Wonky Stitched rectangle. I tied some twine through a large button and used Silicone to glue this to the card and some Papermania  natural lace. The greeting is a sticker from Maggie Holmes Crate paper collection.

I used these promarkers and Flexmarkers -
Skin - Antique white, Blush, Soft peach, Coral & Spice. Baby pink for cheeks.
Hair - Ginger, Burnt Orange & Heatwave.
Head Scarf - Baby Pink, Carmine, Hot pink & Poppy.
Dress - Honeydew & Mint.

Morning Brew

Morning - Todays Dr Digi image I've used is called Door Mouse and I have teamed it up with the I LOVE TEA paper from Tea & Bickies background papers.
I don't know about you but I pretty much feel like this little mouse every morning when I am having my first brew... I will admit I am definitely not a morning person and often having to be in work for 7.00 am is not good for me. The only thing that gets me through is copious amount of really hot TEA! And this is now in My Dr Digi mug that I am very privileged to have received... they are certainly worth entering the challenge for!!

This card was pretty simple and easy. I cut a panel of the paper and glued it to the card base and used a pen to doodle the edge. I stuck a paper doily in the middle and a strip of red ribbon over the top. I coloured the image and then used a Lawn Fawn stitched circle to die cut it out. I mounted this on top of the doily with 3d foam and job was done!!

I used these promarkers and flexmarkers -
Tea pot - Burgandy, Cardinal red, Ruby & Red
Mouse - Tan, Champagne, Raw Sienna, Cinnamon
Mouse mouth and ears - Baby Pink, Blush & Antique Pink.
Cool Grey 2 to shadow.

Right Time for me to put the kettle on!!

Fathers Day.

Hi - I didn't get round to blogging my card for Dr Digi last week so this week you have two in quick succession !! The first one I made for my Dad for Fathers Day. I've been on afternoons you see this week and so haven't really had chance to catch up with the blog. But Dad did get his card on time, along with some Guniness Sausages I bought him! (I know how to spoil him!!)

I used Kaisercraft crossword paper for the background and a strip of MFT Just delightful paper - both of which were mounted onto bazzill. I used a Papermania letter die to cut the letters and a friskar cutter to cut around the image and frame.
The image I have used is called Weekend Walter and he is one of my favourite Dr Digi images and the one that got me hooked on them in the first place!
I used these promarkers and flexmarkers -
Skin - Antique White, blush, soft peach, coral, spice.

I then cut two strips of thin co-ordinating ribbon around the corner and layered everything up. I used green nail heads from my stash and added these into the corners and also in a long line -at the bottom of this I glued a wooden bird embellishment.

I used these promarkers & flexmarkers to colour the image -
Birds & Butterflies - Pastel Green, Oasis & Frosted Jade with French Navy.
Flowers - Blossom, Cerise, Magenta & Vermillion.
Leaves - Lime Zest, Lime Green, Grass & Lush green.
Birdcage & Flowers - Buttercup, Canary & Gold

Giraffe - For a Child.

There is a new challenge beginning today at I love Promarkers which is sponsored by Kenny K. The theme is For a Child and I have used an image called Giraffe

I have used My Favourite things paper called Wild Things which is full of animal prints -  I thought this was perfect for the Giraffe. I die cut the image using MFT die-namics wonky rectangel stitched frame and over this I added the grass die cut from Joy of crafts which I cut using two different shades of green and layered together.
I also used my brand new tree dies from Die-namics called Trees in the forest. I love that stitched edge! I used the same green bazzill shades and kraft card for the trunk.
I stamped the Big hugs from Lawn fawn Big Scripty words and used the matching dies to cut this out. (It was my birthday so I treated myself to some new bits and bobs.. Oops!!)

I used these promarkers and flexmarkers to colour the image -
Tree leaves -  Leaf green, Green shoots, Chartreuse & Grass.
Trunk - Cinnamon & Cocoa

I used the Die-namics party banner die cut and star nestibilities to cut the red Bazzill card and used Doodlebug white letters to add the numbers and letters. Wonder Woman or Super Woman?

Morning - things are back to normal now so full steam ahead with some new creations - its good to have the time back to colour!
So today is the start of the new challenge at I Love Promarkers and the theme is a creation inspired by a film or song.
The sponsor providing one of the prizes is Digital Delights and I have used an image called Super Samantha  and it is inspired by the film Wonder Woman or was it Super Woman?? Either way I liked this image and ironically they made my other half dress up as Wonder Woman on his stag do! (Don't panic - I'll not subject you to those photographs!!!)

I liked the bold lines so I kept it simple and made the whole image into a shaped card. I printed the image out twice in the same size with one being postioned on a fully sheet of card so I could make the base card. i then coloured the second image with promarkers and cut around both shapes before sticking the coloured one on top of the base card. finally I added a little Yellow stickles to the star on her headband. I think she looks really striking!

I used these promarkers & flexmarkers to colour the image -
Skin - Antique White, Blush, Soft Peach, Coral & Spice.
Hair - Rosewood, Auburn, Saddle Brown, Cinnamon & Tan.
Shoes - Cool Greys
Boots & top - Ruby & Poppy
Cuffs - Lemon, Canary & Gold.
Pants & Headband - Sky Blue, Royal Blue & Egyptian Blue.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges -

Thanks for stopping by and make sure you get your entries in to win the Challenge!
