Short and Simple (:(|)x

I have to be honest - there isn't much to write about this week! I've worked some long hours (22 hrs shift on Wed?!) and not done very much else. So this post will be short and simple - A display of the new cards that I've created to help me relax. I can seriously lose hours when I am sat at my desk colouring images.

This is the first showing of my first creation with my new stamp from Stamping Bella. It took me a bit of practice to get back into stamping as most of my images are digital now but I got it right after 4 attempts. It was fun to colour and add the obligatory glitter too!

I tried to keep the colours a little more muted than the brights I normally use. I got it from a lovely new shop called Crafty Mojo. (www.craftmojo.co.uk)
The image is from the Uptown Girls range and coloured with Promarkers. I used glitter on the dress and jacket along with some glossy accents on the wine bottle and glasses. The papers are from American Crafts - Dear Lizzy range called Lucky Charm and I used a Martha Stewart punch for the zigzag edge. A couple of gems and a coordinating ribbon and it was complete. I'm not really sure who or what its for at the moment so I'll add a greeting when I decide!

This card was a commission for Diane who was celebrating her 50th Birthday (Did you guess??) The paper is from Simple Stories Vintage bliss. I love stripey paper! The image is from Pink Petticoat. I used my Die-namics sky scene die cut and added some ribbon and a resin bird. Looking at it now I realise the Happy Birthday spots are not straight.... that would have really annoyed me if I'd noticed it earlier! I like things straight!!

This one is just wonky because of me cropping. I probably took the picture with loads of things in the background so had the crop it right in close. I'm sure you recognise a fab Some Odd Girl image by now! I kept this quite clean and simple and am pleased with how it turned out. The paper is from Crate Paper - The Maggie Holmes range which is really funky. I love the pink Brick paper! The sentiment is from Jillibean Soup.

Right that's all from me for now
