Morning -
I'm posting another card today that I've made for
the other man in my life... My Dad. Its his birthday at the beginning of
March so obviously I had to use a Dr Digi image and I've gone for Dunderton Decorators Ltd. Since
he retired both my Sister and I have kept him busy with lots of jobs
and decorating. He is our Odd job man, maintenance man , dog walker,
even the 5th emergency service when I had a tyre blow out recently on
the motorway - After all ... what else does he have to do to occupy
him??! Luckily for Dad - he and Mum go away on his Birthday to tropical
climates so at least he will get some rest.
I used my new stamps from My Favourite things - distressed patterns to create a paint effect stripes on the background and also to do the paint splatters on his clothes. I die cut the 3 tools from silver mirri card and matched these with the letters to spell out "Dad" using American crafts Thickers. I used some glaze on the paint and glasses to make them look wet and finally some Silver pen to the metallic areas.
I used these promarkers and Flexmarkers to colour the image -
Skin - Antique white, Blush, Soft Peach, Coral & Spice.
Shirt - Red, Poppy & Burgandy
Boots - Ice greys
Dungarees - Powder blue
Roller - March hare & Grey squirrel. Sky blue & Egyptian blue.
Paint - Pastel green, Oasis & Ocean teal.
I would like to enter this card into the following challenges -
My Time to craft - One layer only
Chocolate coffee and cards - ATG
Simply Papercraft - ATG
Addicted to Stamps - Make your mark.
Crafting for all Seasons - 3 of a kind
Simon says stamp - ATG
The Crafty Addicts - Stripes.
So hope you and He like this card.
Have a lovely day,

Animal Magic at The Paper Shelter.
Morning All -
Today is the start of a new challenge over at The Paper Shelter. The theme is Animal magic and I knew I had to use this image called Tucan. How cool is he??!
I used a black card base and covered this with a White zigzag die cut panel using My Favourite things Die-namics. I knotted a strip of Blue ribbon and glued this down the edge. I placed the coloured image over the zigzags and then added the die cut leaves which I cut using my Silhouette. I used star dust stickles on the leaves and beak to make them glisten a little.
I finally added a white peel off greeting and a few co-ordinating coloured gems.
I used these promarkers & Flexmarkers to colour the image -
Birds body - Black & Ice Greys
Beak - Gold, Pumpkin, Mandarin & Orange, Sky blue, Azure & Prusian, Vermillion & Maroon.
Leaves - Lime zest, Lime Green, Grass & Emerald
Branch - Raw Sienna & Cocoa.
All edged in Cloud Blue.
Love to see all your entries over on The Paper Shelter challenge and remember it doesn't have to be one of there images to play or win!
I would like to enter this card into the following Challenges -
Ellibelle's Creatures and critters - Animals
Craftin Desert Diva - Natures Wonders
Eureka Stamps - Tic Tac Toe - Die Cut, Rhinestones & Ribbon
Cardz 4 Guyz - Birds of a Feather

Grumpy Monkey
Morning All,
Today's image really speaks for itself and it is called Grumpy Monkey.
I've made this card for the soon to be Father in Laws birthday and we have often said he is like a big Silver Back Gorilla.
I love this Gorilla - he has so much expression in his face. And Guess what - this image is only £1.00 - you can't even get a coffee for that these days!
I cut the panel around him just a little smaller than he is and fussy cut around the over hanging edges. I used loads of different Woodware punches and Marianne Design dies to create all the leaves he is nestled in from different shades of green card.
I tried to keep it manly with lots of Kraft card and wood pattern paper from DCWV collection and had to resist my usual adding of gems and glitter. Although if you look closely there are a few glittery leaves...There has to be a bit of shimmer in the Rain Forest right?
I used a stamp from Stampendous Changito collection to print the leaves across the top and also the banana's.
I die cut Happy using a My Favourite things dies from Celebrate collection with Black card and then stuck the white Doodlebug letters on to spell out Birthday. Finally I added the kraft effect letters from Hobbycraft to say "Dad".
I used all the Ice Grey range of Promarkers to colour the Grumpy Monkey using lots of little dots.
I would like to enter this card into the following challenges -
Pink Gem Challenge - Boys Birthday
Allsorts Challenge - Birthday Wishes.
Dis Digi Design - Birthday
Alphabet Challenge - Zoo Animals
Polkadoodles - Lucky Green
Fab n Funky - Male Birthday.
Mod Squad - The Great Outdoors
Crafts Galore - Use Digi or stamp.
Sparkles - something for the males.
Cards for guyz - Going to the Zoo
Digi Chooseday - Animals or Insects.
Have a good week.

Flutterby
Hello - It's time to showcase the week two creations for I love Promarkers. The theme this week is Bingo and the Sponsor is Stitchy Bear.
I have used an image called Flutterby from Stitchy Bear Digi images.
I have used Ribbon, Sentiment & Flower but thrown in a few pearls for extra measure!
I covered the base with Bo Bunny paper called Persuasion My Sweet - I decided to use a round card base so it could rock and have some movement. I added some thin Ribbon from my stash and a greeting from Craftwork Cards. I coloured the bird with promarkers and added some pearls in a swirly pattern. I used Star Dust stickles on the bird to make it shine and shimmery.
I used these promarkers and flexmarkers to colour the Flutterby -
Pastel green, Frosted Jade & Turquoise.
Bluebell & Wild orchid,
Sky blue, Azure, True Blue & Prussian.
I'd like to enter this card into the following challenges -
2crafty girls - ATG with Pearls.
ABC challenge - B is for Bird.
Pearly Sparkle - All you need is love and pearls
Becka B - Bingo - Flower, image, tag
Bunny Zoe - Things with wings
Dream Valley - Sparkle and Shine
So I'll be back soon with more cards and creations to show you.
Have fun till then.

Relax and Pamper at Bath time.
Hello All,
Now I love a bath (Too much info?) I can sit in a bath for hours and just keep topping up the water to keep it warm. And like Our Deirdery I will often take a drink with me (Yes...sometimes it is a glass of wine!!Please don't judge me!) It's not a traditional Valentines card but... Bath Time Deirdery from Dr Digi certainly looks relaxed and I love this digi looking all feminine and pink.
The patterned papers are from Polka Dot party collection from Dear Lizzy American Crafts. I added some paper flowers from my stash, the beaded center flowers are from Petaloo Sweet Petite and the resin flowers from Martha Stewart. I used pearl dots in co-ordinating colours from my stash and added the greetings which I just got from Crate Paper Hello Love collection and mounted onto gold mirri. The image was die cut using my new set of Die-namics wonky rectangles and finally I used gold pen on the feet and taps of the bath along with Stardust stickles on the bath foam.
I used these promarkers and flexmarkers -
Skin - Antique White, Blush, Soft Peach, Coral & Spice.
Hair & Bath tub - Ice Grey 1 & 2.
Bathcap & Bath mat - Fresh Bloom, Baby Pink, Carmine & Magenta.
Cushion - Pastel Green & Mint Green.
Duck - Lemon, Summer Sun & Orange for the Beak.
Bubbles - Fresh Bloom & Baby Pink.
I would like to enter this card into the following challenges -
In the Pink - With love
Crafty Friends - Girly
Kitty Bee - Love / valentine
Simply Create - love / valentines
Cute Card - Sweet Valentines
Julia Spiri - Love is in the air.
Through the purple Haze - Share some love.
Hope you all get some love this Valentines Day... We don't "do" Valentines... Apparently I get treated like a Princess every day ??!

Love in Venice
Today is the start of a new challenge over at The Paper Shelter and the theme is "Be My Valentine"
I have chosen to use an image called Love in Venice.
My main reason for picking this is because we have been talking about having a "Minimoon" for a few days straight after our wedding and top of the list at the moment is Venice. Its a place I have always wanted to go and the pictures of it look wonderful!
To make this card I covered the base with wood effect paper from Crate Paper DIY Shop. I cut a panel from the zigzag paper and also the Polaroid shape which are both from Simple Stories I heart Summer. I use some heart ribbon from my stash across the bottom and a tiny scrap of yellow ribbon from American Crafts which I attached a Red Hobbycraft heart gem on to. I dies cut three hearts from red Bazzill card and little strip of yellow hearts. The greeting is a sticker from My Minds Eye Necessities.
I used gold pen to add some detail to the digi image and also some white pen to the water. Finally I gave the water a little sparkle with a white Wink of Stella pen.
I used these Promarkers & Flexmarkers to colour the image -
Skin - Antique white, Blush, Soft Peach, Coral & Spice.
His Hair - Burnt Sienna, Henna & Walnut
Her Hair - Buttercup, Pineapple crush, Sleigh Bells & Raw Sienna.
Red Clothing - Poppy, Ruby & Burgandy
Hat & Trousers - Ice Grey 1,3,4 & 5
Blue Sashes - Sky Blue, Azure & French Navy.
Boat - Tan, Raw Sienna & Cocoa.
Water - Sea Mist, Pastel Green & Oasis
It would be great to see lots of entries and the prizes are fabulous!! Click on the picture below and it will take you to the challenge blog where you can find how to enter. You can also see all the other Design team cards - which are amazing!
I would like to enter this card into the following challenges -
Crafty Boots - Love / Valentines.
Crafty Cardmakers - Love.
Get Creative - Must Include hearts.
Love to scrap - Have a Heart.
Crafting by design - Hearts
Creative Moments - Romance/ Love
Freshly brewed - hearts.
Passion for promarkers - 3 pattern papers.
Thanks for stopping by this blog. Leave me a little wave!

Anglin Andy
Morning...
I thought I'd try something a bit different this week - What do you think of Anglin' Andy??
I thought I'd try something a bit different this week - What do you think of Anglin' Andy??
So many Dr Digi
images are perfect for making stand up character cards as they have
such clean lines. I made this card by simply printing the image 4
times... stay with me... One was for the base card which I printed onto
the right hand side of a A4 Sheet - I scored down the edge of the image,
folded and then cut around Andy.
The
second I printed onto the textured card which I then cut around to be
his waders (Is that the right term??) The third I printed onto the
shimmer card and cut out the be the Fish.
The fourth I coloured with my pens and this is base for all the paper pieces
to be stuck onto. Finally this layer was then stuck to the base card so
the folder edge and all the reverse of the colouring can't be seen. (If
I had though ahead I should have photographed the various stages...
Promise I will next time I do this style!)
I had to draw over the lines on the textured card with a permanent marker as they faded a little and I also used promarkers to add some shading. I used a silver pen on the fish hooks and Glaze to make his glasses shine. Finally I used a black gem from Papermania on the Fish' eye.
I used these Promarkers and Flexmarkers -
Skin - Antique white, Blush, Soft Peach, Coral & Spice.
T-shirt - Red Sweater, Cardinal red & Burgundy
Hat - Khaki, Herb green, Pesto & Olive Green.
Bag - Petrol blue, Navy blue & Black.
Shading on Waders - Warm Greys
It wasn't a quick card but I think the effect is worth it. I would like to enter this card into the following challenges -
Hope you have a lovely day and fingers crossed it stops raining!

All Dressed Up Design Team !!
Well you will never guess what... (I know I've kind of ruined the surprise in my post title but humour me!!) ... Go on ... Try and guess... Yep I was picked to be part of the All Dressed Up design team!!!
I can now post this here as all the new Design Team members have now been unveiled and introduced over at the All Dressed Up Challenge blog. Why not go and see all the other fab creations and talented design team members by clicking on the highlighted link.
Even better - why not play along! It's always Anything Goes Theme but you must use an All dressed up image. Not got any ? (yet - you will soon be addicted!) Worry not as you can get some lovely Freebies here.
You could win your personal choice of 3 All Dressed Up digi images; be selected as one of the Top 3 or be chosen as guest Designer for our next Challenge.
So without further ado - here is my card. I have used an image called Time for Walkies and you can get this from Funky Kits but you can see lots of other designs in the Esty shop. I feel really privileged to be part of this team as I think Wendy's images are just gorgeous! (And I got a custom made watermark too! Bonus!)
To make this card I cut a panel from My Minds Eye - The Sweetest Thing Collection and mounted it onto Navy Bazzill card. I picked this paper as I thought it mirrored the pattern of the knitting on the hat! I then mounted the flowery panel on to some shimmery pale blue card which I had used a Martha Stewart boarder punch to create the edge. I also tied the yellow ribbon around this panel and then hand tied a little bow, which I then glued on.
I used my new Lawn Fawn Stitched edge dies (OOO I love these!!!) to cut the image panel and I used 3d foam to adhere this to the card. I used a Pebbles accent sticker for the greeting and finally added some co-ordinating gems from Doodlebug.
I used these promarkers and flexmarkers to colour the image -
Skin - Antique White, Blush, Soft Peach, Coral & Spice. Baby Pink cheeks.
Hat & Boots - Buttercup, Pineapple Crush, Sleigh Bells & Raw Sienna.
Jeans - Power Blue, Cloud Blue & Colbalt Blue.
Scarf - Pastel Green, Oasis, Turquoise & Marine.
Jacket & Dog - Warm Greys
Hair - Tan, Cinnamon, Cocoa, Chestnut & Umber.
I would like to enter this card into the following challenges -

ABC- A Is for Animals.
Doodle pantry - Anything goes.
Lemon Shortbread - ATG
Craft-dee Bows - ATG with bow
Crafty cardmaker - Punches or dies.

BBQ Dragon - it's all about the scales.
How's things Monkey Mates? Todays post is for the latest inspiration for the I Love Promarkers challenge and this fortnights theme is Anything Goes. We all love them! And the sponsor is my favourite medic - Dr Digi and I have chosen to use this image called BBQ Dragon
Now I've wanted to play with this image for a little while but was lacking inspiration as to what to do with him... Then I saw a post over at Janey's Card... and it was all about using Liquid pearls with stencils.... the texture and dimension made my creative juice started to flow!! I thought it would make a great background to look like scales so here it is... It was really simple once Janey had provided the inspiration and I literally squirted Lime green liquid pearls over a Kaisercraft stencil and used my finger to spread it around and fill all the little nooks and crannies. It's not perfect - a few bits bled through but I'm really happy with it and think its pretty effective. Sooo my thanks to Janey!! Take a look at her tutorial - its much more eloquent than I could ever be!
There aren't many other ingredients to this card - I mounted the textured panel onto orange Bazzill card and I cut around the image using my Friskars cutter before fussy cutting around the rest of the dragon. I used silver pen on the image to colour the lance and some stickles called Orange peel on to the flames. I added some blue ribbon from American crafts and finally a few orange sequins from Doodlebug.
I used these promarkers & flexmarkers -
Dragon - Pale Citrus, Lime Zest, Lime Green, Pear Green & Marsh Green.
Dragons Belly - Powder Blue, Cloud Blue & True Blue.
Chicken, horns & lance - Raw Sienna, Cinnamon & Oatmeal
Flames - Bright Orange, Yellow & Sunset Red.
I would like to enter this card into the following challenges -
Fab N Funky - All Creatures great and small.
Country View Challenges - Make your own background.
Cardz 4 Guyz - Make it sparkle or shine
Ellibelles - Critters and creatures
Get Creative - Fantasy / mythology.
Right all for me for now ... Speak to you all again very soon,
