Ambrose - King of the Waves

Morning - I'm back ! Everything is getting back to normal. The Husband (Ha!) is back at work so I've had time to get my pens out and do some creating. I'm still in holiday mood so I have used Ambrose King of the waves to keep the Sun shining. We had beautiful weather on our  Wedding day and on our Honeymoon - we were very lucky!

To make this card I die cut the circle using Lawn Fawn die from Doodlebug Paper called Anchors Aweigh. I also used this paper to cut a banner and I used the scraps to make the little shapes around the edges. I stamped the sand, greeting and Crap from Lawn Fawn Life Is Good stamps. I used glaze on the goggles and also on the flippers whilst I added a little Fruit Punch stickles on to the Ice Cream.

I used these Promarkers and Flexmarkers to colour the image -
Skin - Antique White, Blush, Soft Peach, Coral & Spice.
Hair & Beard - Warm Grey 1, 2 & 4

Looking Gorgeous from All Dressed Up

Today is the start of a new challenge at All Dressed Up blog  and the theme is always anything goes as long as you use an All dressed up image - and there are some beautiful digital images to make lovely cards. For my DT card I have used an image Looking Gorgeous from All Dressed up.
I was asked to make this card for a friend at work to give her sister and thought this image was perfect for a 40th.

To make this card I used paper (which is Flittered!) from a pad I got in The Range. It doesn't seem to have a name but the make is Deco Time. I mounted this on Black card and then used a Lawn Fawn Cloud die on black card also and glued this behind the image panel. I mounted the image onto the patterned card using chunky 3D foam so it sits high.
I used some Clear gems on the necklace along with some Diamond stickles to add details on the flowers. The 40 are Glittery thickers called Eclair from American Crafts and I used black foam letters from Hobbycraft to spell out sister.

I used these Promarkers & Flexmarkers  -
Skin - Antique White, Blush, Soft Peach, Coral & Spice, with Baby pink cheeks.
Lips - Antique pink & Baby pink
Hair -  Buttercup, Pineapple Crush & Sleigh Bells
Braid - Aquamarine, Oasis & Island Lagoon.
Leaves - Leaf Green, Grass & Lush Green
Flowers - Gold, Orange & Bright Orange, Magenta, Red Sweater & Antique Pink, Slate, Baby pink & Antique Pink.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges -

Less is more - Use Designer paper in CAS way
Creative fingers - ATG
A Beautiful Mess - ATG
