Yep the title is correct - Christmas in July!!
I am trying to get ready and organised so I want make at least one christmas card every week so its not such a mammoth task! Who else is making christmas crafts? Or maybe you make Christmas creations all year around??
Well Dr Digi has some wicked Christmas images so expect more of them from me. This is Christmas Chris and he is one of my Favourites. I love his Reindeer onesie - it looks soooo cosy!
I printed out the background paper from Whimsy stamps - they have some lovely papers! I cut out the word panel from Simple Stories Claus and Co collection and mounted this onto green paper and then added the die cut red mirri frame I made using My Favourtite things die. The string lights sticker is also from the same Claus and Co collection.

Skater Stanley
The current challenge at I love promarkers is the theme of "One for the Boys" and we are sponsored by Dr Digi House of Stamps so I have used Skater Stanley.
I teamed him up with Doodlebug papers and a fancy My Favourite things boarded die.
I have also used a Dr Digi funny sentiment that I think goes perfectly with this image!
Sorry Its a quick post from me ... Trying to catch up after a busy week.
This challenge will run a little longer than normal to give us DT as bit of a holiday so lots of time to get your creations in and win some fab digis!

Tv Dinner Dennis
Morning - Here is todays card created for Dr Digi using TV Dinner Dennis.
That big pile of Bangers and Mash just made me think of Cowboys so I've teamed Dennis up with a Western film strip which also holds the Twisted easel card in place. These cards are so easy to do but really effective.
I printed the image out four time - Three on the patterned papers for the chair, trousers and slippers and once onto white. On the white layer I used promarkers to colour the rest of the image and then layered the him on to the chair pattern. The next layer of the trousers I glued onto the coloured image and finally added the slippers.
I used some wood effect paper across the bottom and some white star embossed paper as his floor and wallpaper. I cut a panel from the comic strip and mounted this onto black card which I then used 3d foam to raise in order to hold the front upright.
I used these promarkers and flexmarkers to colour the image -
Skin - Unusal
Hair, Tray & Sausages - Tan, Cinnamon, Cocoa & Henna,
Top - Poppy, Ruby & Burgundy
Napkin - True Blue & Royal Blue
Mash - Light Fawn & Saffron
Peas - Leaf Green & Lush Green
Warm Grey 1, 2 & 3 to shade the image along with Powder blue on the plate and his eyes.
Right I will be at work whilst you read this today - so hope you all make the most of your Sundays off! Im not at all bitter!! But I will get a lie in on Monday so it's all ok!

Recycling with Pretty In Plaits
Afternoon,
We have a brand new Anything goes Challenge (As long as its an All Dressed Up Image Obvs!) starting over at the All Dressed Up Blog.
This is my card using an image called Pretty In Plaits.
I die cut around the image using a Lawn Fawn Circle die and them mounted this onto the Doily die cut which I think was from Marianne Design cut from Satin Card. Before I glues it in place I added a die cut strip which is actually the waste from a My Favourite things Scalloped Edge die! I attached to this some pearl ribbon too.
The pattern paper has a lovely gloss finish and is from SEI called Bridgeport but I have had it in my stash for ages!
I layered up the greeting from Pebbles and added a co-ordinating Yellow resin flower with some wooden Embellishment branches that had actually broken from the main Bird Embellishement from Hobbycraft. I used Promarkers to colour this in green. So I have actually been quite Frugal with my recycling and using bits up on this card... I knew there was a reason I keep every scrap!!
I used these promarkers and flexmarkers -
Hair - Warm Grey 5,4,&2
Skin - Usual
Flowers - Powder Blue, Buttercup, Lemon, Canary, Gold, Lime Zest, Pear & Moss.
Hat - Peony, Tropical Orchid, Pink Lobster, Wild Cranberry & Maroon
I would like to enter this card into these Challenges also -
Crafty Friends - flowers
Brown Sugar - Colour inspirations
Addicted to stamps - Picture inspirations
Digi Choosday - ATG
Passion for Promarkers - Add Pearls
CAS colours & sketches - layout.
I hope you like her and get the chance to play along with us.... Take a look at all the other DT Creations - They are FAB!!

Moving house with Open Top Olive
Todays Dr Digi card is using Open Top Olive.
It's the first time I've coloured this one up and it was fun doing the car to try and make it look shiny!
I've made this car for My Sister who is moving to the countryside so she and her husband have been back and to decorating and playing with the tractor and sit on lawnmower. They have a soft top MG and three dogs so this image was perfect although not a traditional New Home image - Just shows how versatile the Dr's images are!
I die cut the front of the card with My Favourite things basic scalloped stitched edge die and created a panel using acetate. I covered the back card with Patterned paper from Bella Blvd Family frenzy collection. I used silver pen on the car to give a metalic look and also white pen to give extra shine. I spelt out the greeting using Skinny letters from Doodlebug.
I used these promarkers and flexmarkers to colour the image -
Car - True Blue, Royal Blue & Egyptian Blue.
Hair - Buttercup, Pineapple Crush & Raw Sienna.
Dog - Raw Sienna, Warm Grey 3 & 5
Top - Poppy.
Tyres - Black, Cool Grey 2, 4 & 5
Well thats all from me for now - Don't forget the birthday competion is still running at the Facebook page.

Enchanted Ocean shaker card
Hello - Today is the start of a new challenge at The Paper Shelter and the theme is Going Digital. I have used this fab image called Enchanted Ocean
I have used the digital coloured image and also the background paper. I have added my own die cut seaweed and fishes using dies from Marianne Collectable . I decided this was a perfect image to make into a shaker card and added clear thread to both the Mermaid and diver so the appear to float around in the card. I added Doodlebug sequins and glitter but learning from past mistakes I didn't add to much! The front panel was created used acetate and around the frame I tied a co-ordinating blue ribbon. Finally I added the Best Fishes using Doodlebug letters.

I think I have always avoided digital images to some extent... But this challenge has really made me think twice about using them. You can still get really creative with what you do with them! We would love to see your creations and look as the fabulous prize...
All from me for now - Why not pop over to The Paper Shelter challenge and see what the rest of the talented DT have made.

Festival weekend.
Afternoon All -
I had a technical clitch this morning with my camera - hence the reason for an afternoon post rather then this morning.
So this weekend has been our local Festival on the field at the end of our road (A little too handy to pop in for unhealthy lunch of Crepes and Doughnuts!!) Its also been lovely and warm so the Power of Deirdrey last weekend def helped!
With the festival in mind I've made a birthday card using Strongo the Magnificent. We didn't quite have circus side shows but we did have A Dog Show, Morris Dancers and a Scarecrow Competition!! We went to the live band last night and along with a fair bit of wine and dancing - We all had a brilliant night.
All the papers are from Carta Bella Circus Party collection and the greeting from Pebbles. I used a My Favourite things die cut to create the frame and added a few matte sprinkles from Doodlebug, along with some gold pen for details like buttons.
I used these promarkers and flexmarkers -
Skin - Usual
Suit - Poppy, Ruby & Burgundy with Aquamarine shading.
Belt, Boots and hair - Warm greys.
Hope it was worth the wait!!
