Autumnal Monique
Hello - its started feeling very Autumnal all of sudden around my house! The building work is continuing but I am hopeful after this week we will have a working bathroom and maybe even heating!!!
So my card for this weeks challenge at The Paper Shelter probably reflects this a little in the warm coat and colours! I have used an image called Monique
and theme is Embossing. Fairly easy theme really... if I hadn't packed all my embossing folders away at the bottom of a big pile covered in dust sheets... at least I think thats where they are?? But I did manage to use the little flower dies that have an embossed edge which I think you can just about see on the picture!
We would love to see lots of entries into the challenge - you don't have to use a Paper shelter image to enter but if you do - you can win a whole load more!!
Thanks for stopping by,

Ive used background paper from Doodlebug and I die cut an oval of velum to make her standout a bit more against the busy background. I cut a strip of snowflake embossed card and mounted it onto Red card and tied a striped ribbon in a bow. Finally I added the greeting which is from Crate Paper.

Eyes - powder blue
poppy, ruby & burgundy
lime green, emerald & lush green

Morning - We have a new challenge starting at The Paper Shelter and the theme is embossing. I have used an image called So classy. Isn't he a daper fellow!
I covered a round base card with patterned paper and embossed some mirri board using an embossing folder. I also die cut and embossed the city scape which I glued in place and sealed with a ribbon from American Crafts. The letters are from Cosmo Cricket and I made them fit the oval panel.
I used these Promarkers and flexmarkers to colour the image -
Skin - Usual
Suit - Linen, Champagne & Praline
Hair - Warm Grey 3 & 5
Car - Black, Cool greys 1 to 5, Frosted jade & Pastel Green
I also used silver and gold pen to add details to the car.
I would love to see your creations - And any type of embossing is allowed.... Just look at what you could win...
Thanks for stopping by - See you soon,
Liz xx

Tv Dinner Dennis
Morning - Here is todays card created for Dr Digi using TV Dinner Dennis.
That big pile of Bangers and Mash just made me think of Cowboys so I've teamed Dennis up with a Western film strip which also holds the Twisted easel card in place. These cards are so easy to do but really effective.
I printed the image out four time - Three on the patterned papers for the chair, trousers and slippers and once onto white. On the white layer I used promarkers to colour the rest of the image and then layered the him on to the chair pattern. The next layer of the trousers I glued onto the coloured image and finally added the slippers.
I used some wood effect paper across the bottom and some white star embossed paper as his floor and wallpaper. I cut a panel from the comic strip and mounted this onto black card which I then used 3d foam to raise in order to hold the front upright.
I used these promarkers and flexmarkers to colour the image -
Skin - Unusal
Hair, Tray & Sausages - Tan, Cinnamon, Cocoa & Henna,
Top - Poppy, Ruby & Burgundy
Napkin - True Blue & Royal Blue
Mash - Light Fawn & Saffron
Peas - Leaf Green & Lush Green
Warm Grey 1, 2 & 3 to shade the image along with Powder blue on the plate and his eyes.
Right I will be at work whilst you read this today - so hope you all make the most of your Sundays off! Im not at all bitter!! But I will get a lie in on Monday so it's all ok!

Christmas Chris All round.
Afternoon - Sorry i'm late today. I have no excused - I just wasn't organised so this card has literally just been finished in the Monkey Hut.
I've gone with a very rotund theme... Round card base, spotty paper, round die cut and a "portly" image from Dr Digi called Christmas Chris
I've left a space above the ribbon as I plan to customise this card for someone nearer to Christmas. I can add there name then along the curve with gold letters.
The fab gold spotty paper is from The Gilded collection from Die Cuts with A View and I mounted this onto round base card. I die cut a circle using Lawn Fawn stitched dies from an embossed card piece from Spellbinders. The ribbon was from my ever growing stash! and the wooden embellishment was from kaisercraft. I used Christmas Holly stickles on the leaves and added 3 red gems.
I used these promarkers and flexmarkers for Christmas Chris -
Skin - Usual with Cocktail pink cheeks and ears.
Hooves - Warm Grey 5,4, 3 &1
Holly - Lush & Forest Green
Berries & nose - Poppy, Ruby & Cardinal red
Antlers & Belly- Light Fawn, Tan & Saffron
Onesie - Cinnamon, Cocoa & henna
Pudding - Walnut, Cinnamon, Aubergine & Burgundy (Could almost be the ingrediants!!)
Hope you are likely my Christmas cards!
See you soon,

White on white.
Morning - I'm playing catch up at the mo as I have missed a couple of blog post just due to life being busy. So today I am killing two birds with one stone ... or maybe its cheating a little but its necessary so please forgive me!
So today I am showing you a card I made using Dr digi image Crouching Tiger Hidden Dunderton
This was actually created for a challenge at I Love Promarkers where the theme this fortnight is White on white... but after I had finished it I decided to add the blue ribbon - I thought it was like the belt!! You know me by now... Its all about colour!!
I used an embossing folder I got from The Range and then attached a panel of the acetate stars from Bella Blvd. I die cut the Good Times and glued it on, along with the die cut stars using a die from Sunny Studio. I attached the image using 3 d foam and ties the ribbon from American crafts into a knot.

Have a Blast.
Hello! I'm all ready with my post this morning - in fact I am writing this on Saturday night whilst eating chocolate and drinking red wine! As tomorrow when this goes live I will be in work (boo!!)
So here is my DT card for Dr Digi using Retro rocket. I'm not sure this photo shows it very well but the rocket is attached to a stripe of acetate so it appears to be flying. I love these quirky extra bits and bobs as they can be used for some many different ways. I've used the rocket with a stamp from Waltzing Mouse Stamps Half Pint Heroes collection for the greeting.
The paper is from Bo Bunny Blast Off collection and I covered the round card base with paper from Bo Bunny Blast off collection. I die cut the yellow moon paper using Lawn Fawn stitched hillside boarder and embossed it using a cuttlebug folder. I used silver pen and also some white pen to add some shine.
I used these promarkers to colour the rocket -
Ice grey 1 to 5.
Red, Poppy & Ruby.
Powder Blue.
Canary, Gold, Orange & Bright orange.
Why don't you have mooch around all the Bits and Bobs for sale on the website - see what inspiration you get and funky ways to use things!

Where're we goin?
Hello -
The new challenge begins at The Paper Shelter today and the theme is Holidays. I have wanted to colour this image for a while as I think its really pretty so today you see Where're we goin .
This is the first time I have coloured an image using Prismacolor pencils and I think I am in love with them! My thought process went a little like this.... Holiday... travel... postcards... luggage tags.... kraft...and the only thing that will colour on Kraft is Pencils. So I jumped right to it and just gave them a go. I'm very happy with the result considering I've never used them before.
I used patterned paper from Simple Stories Vintage Bliss collection which I trimed the edge from a 6x6 piece and used the spare at the bottom. To cover the gap I used some lace and a strip of watercolor wash paper from My Favourite things. I used the same paper in an embossing folder to create the Postcard. I used the same lace to add detail to the tag and glued a co-ordinating resin flower to cover the join. The heart stickers and Enjoy Tag are from the same Simple storied collection. The final little detail I added was to used a Gold pen to colour the corners of the case and the buckles.
There are great prizes at The Paper Shelter challenge -
I would like to enter this card into these challenges -
Crazy Challenge - Lace
Crafting from the Heart - ATG
Craft your passion - ATG
Crafty Hazelnuts patterned paper - ATG
Bastel-traum - Journey / Vacation
The Ribbon Girl - ATG
A Gem of a challenge - Kraft

All from me for today -

Caveman Klob
Morning - Today's card from me is made with a Dr Digi image called Caveman Klob.
I've never coloured this one before and it was fun to get the Promarkers on. I stuck with the animal print and went with loads of it!
I love his Neandethal brow - I imagine he is staring off into the distance waiting for the passing beast to club and drag back to his woman! Makes me think he would also be great for a Valentines card!
The paper is from My Favourite Things and is called Wild Things. I used the same green paper with a woodware leave punch to cut out the few branches. I also used an animal print embossing folder from Cuttlebug on the orange card and mounted it on the black bazzill. I did the same with the animal print ribbon that I had in my stash. I carried on the animal print theme and used Amercian Craft thickers "Cheetah" for the numbers 50 and the Happy Birthday is from Pebbles. Finally I added a little green button in the top left corner which was also from my large stash!
I used these promarkers & flexmarkers -
Skin - Antique White, Blush, Soft Peach, Coral & Spice.
Tash & Stone wheel - Blue Grey 1, 3 & 4
Club - Vanilla, Raw Sienna & Cocoa.
Clothes - Bright orange, Burnt Orange, Spice & Cool greys.
Grass - Grass, Moss & Pine
I would like to enter this card into the following challenges -
I hope you all have a great Sunday and enjoy your week.

Circles and Christmas
Its a new challenge today over at I Love Promarkers and the theme is Circles - So many ways this can be interpreted, just as long as you use Promarkers or flexmarkers.
The image is a new stamp from Stamping Bella and is called Ramona shares her Hot Chocolate.
I used an embossing folder to create the circle background and mounted it on red. I used my Friskars cutter to cut a circle from red card and also around the stamped image - leaving a space to cut around Ramona's hat.
I glued a section of Tilda ribbon to the base and to stop the cut edges from fraying - I used some Glue to seal the ends. I added a little Diamond stickles Glue on to Ramona's ear muff's, scarf and also the marshmallows. I also added some Diamond stickles to the ground to look like frost.
The Merry Christmas greeting is a sticker from Kaisercraft - I love the simplicity of it.
I used these promarkers & flexmarkers to colour the image -
Jacket & seat - Poppy, ruby & Cardinal red
Scarf & earmuffs -Blossom, Baby pink & cerise.
Trousers & hat - Gold, halloween & Bright orange.
Penguin, table & seat -Cool greys
Ground - Frozen lake
I would like to enter this card into the following challenges -
Fab n funky - ATG -Christmas.
Shopping our Stash - no pattern papers.
Eureka stamps - Animal & pets.
Come & get it - Use Orange.
Fantasy Stampers - Animal Antics.
Poolkadoodles - Add sparkle.
Simply create - Baby its cold outside.
All for now - Sorry I missed my Sunday post by the way... I was down in London visiting friends from Uni. But usual service is now resumed!
