Chip's 40th Birthday Cards.

Yep - the year of the 40th continues... This times show is for the cards made for Chips! Aka Dave - that's his real name. I know not why he is called Chips ... other than he likes Chips??!
The first card is from us two as he loves cars. I used a Waltzing Mouse stamp which I coloured in red. I used my cameo to cut the 40 from Black card and mounted them on orange based on road markings. I cut away the front of the card and used Acetate to create a see through panel - behind it I placed some Doodlebug papers. I also used my cameo to cut the Happy Birthday, and finally I added some Stickles to the lights and a little glaze to the windscreen of the car.

This card is from Nan to Chips. Chips goes to Bingo with Nan and has always loved the cards I've made for her with the Bingo cards on and asked Nan if one could be made for him - so here it is. Hope it lives up to his expectations! If you hadn't guessed - he also loves Darts!
I used American craft Thickers for his name and 40. The bingo card and greeting were from Simple Stories. I highlighted the 27th - his birthday with a die cut star embellished with green gems and added a digital image of a darts player from Digistamp Boutique, coloured as always with Promarkers.

The problem (Not really?!) with making cards is you have to come up with several ideas for the same person - Card No3 for Chips.

This card used another Digistamp Boutique image. I coloured him using promarkers. The papers are from My Minds Eye and the lettering is Doodlebug. I added some stickles to the beers head and glaze on the Pint glass. The stars are cut from Spellbinders. I added a few green stars from Kars to finish the top corner as it looked a bit empty.
It was the surprise party last night so I can post these now and I can happily report that Chips loved them all!

Next stop - Big birthdays for the Dads.
See you soon.

Another Stamping Bella Challenge.

I am loving my Stamping Bella images and the chance I have at the minute to create and colour "just because" rather than for a reason or event. So it is always helpful to have a Challenge to use like a design brief - it helps get the creative juices flowing!

The challenge was "Flowers" but I think I will have a look around and see what other challenges I can enter this card into.
I used Paper from My Minds Eye - Now and Then Dorothy range and coloured it with Promarkers. I used Liquid pearls - Hydrangea, Stickles - Fruit Punch and Cosmic Shimmer - Hot Pink. I added a Pebbles "HELLO" greeting sticker and used silicon to add three Resin flowers in Co-ordinating colours.

Colour Mapping -
Laptop - Cool Greys
Skin - Coral, Soft Peach, Blush.
Hair - Cinnamon, Cocoa, Henna.
Jeans - Capri Blue, Powder Blue, Icicle.
Sofa - Morning Mist, Warm Grey 3
Cushion - Gold, Canary Yellow, Lemon.
Cushion and slippers - Oasis, Frosted Jade, Turquoise, Marine

Stamping Bella Challenge and colour mapping

I made today's card for the latest Stamping Bella layout challenge. I love the stamped images - this one has been out for a bit but is new to me and this is the first time I've coloured it with Promarkers.

This is the Sketch that the challenge was to make a card based on.

The background papers are from Websters Pages - Beautiful Chic. Its is a really stunning collection so expect to see much more of them!  I added glaze to the bath to make it look like the old traditional enamel type - I also added some to the Champagne Glaze glass. I also added loads of Stickles glitter to the bubbles and on her leg to make it look wet and shiny.

I added green Doodlebug pearls and some Pink gem stones. The greeting is from Jillibean - Soup Labels and I raided my ribbon stash to find some matching the bath colour to tie it altogether.

The Promarker colours I used are  -
Bath - Burgundy & Maroon.
Hair - Vanilla, Pineapple Crush & Sleigh Bells
Bubbles - Carmine & Baby Pink
Cushion - Meadow Green, Apple Cider & Holly

Weddings - others and ours...

Evening all - a Wedding card to show you that I actually made last week but couldn't show until after the wedding. I used this lovely Stamping Bella image which is romantic without being mushy! I have also been to a Wedding Fair this week to get ideas for Our wedding (which isn't till May 2016!)

The image is coloured with Promarkers and I also added a little Wink of Stella sparkle to the dress and glitter to the flowers.

I used Grace Taylor papers which I cut a heart from using Spellbinders. I set the digital image behind the heart on the coordinating paper. I added a matching ribbon and some Diamante swirls near to a resin bird.

I addeda greeting from Pebbles and personalised the card with Websters pages letters and numbers for the date. I addeda few more Diamante gems.

Mums Birthday.

It was my Mum's birthday yesterday so I made this card for her. I've used a Stamping Bella image - coloured as always with Promarkers. ( I'm currently taking an online colouring class but more about that another time...)

I've had the paper for a little while and not really been sure what to do with it (It is from American Crafts Dear Lizzy - Lucky Charm) but I thought the lace and ribbon matched it perfectly along with the baking theme.

I added some glitter and gems along with a greeting from Craftworks Cards. The top corner looked a little bare so I added a couple of flags made from scraps and a little co-ordinating button. I also added a little glazed to the mixing bowl but it doesn't seem to show in the photos.
