Banksy Claus

Morning all -

Today's card is using Banksy Claus from Dr Digi. This is such a fab image for those tricky teenagers. I've stuck with simple red here but the beauty of digital it can be in any colour!!

I have used paper from Studio Calico paper for the background as it reminded me of more graffitti. The brick pattern paper is from Simple Stories collection called I AM. I mounted this on black card and then added black house boarder.
I used glaze and whilst this was still sticky I added Cosmic Shimmer to make it look wet. I also used Diamond stickles on Santa's fur to give it a sparkle.

I used Red, Poppy and Cardinal red to colour the santa suit and Warm Greys 2 to 5 for his boots and gloves. I also used silver pen for the cannister.

Anyways I better get back to it... lots more cards to make yet before I'm done. Although I have got most of my Christmas shopping done after a mammoth session in Chester this week!! And if anyone is struggling to think of what to get me for Christmas - I'd love a Bansky...

Have a lovely day,

Rescue Squad in Plaid

Morning - Today's Dr Digi image is called Rescue Squad.
I love the current trend for red and black plaid! I think I need a shirt just like this patterned paper! But how cosy does he look in his fur lined coat and gloves.
We are currently decorating our front room so we have no carpet down and it is freezing in there! I need this coat and gloves!

The base paper is from My Minds Eye Comfort and Joy collection whilst the plaid is from Simple Stories Classic Christmas. I mounted both these panels onto green bazzill card and wrapped some twine around the base and knotted in glove charm that was from my stash. I then cut an oval shape using my friskars cutter which I attached on top using 3d foam. I then placed the image on to the oval panel which is from American Crafts and has a wood grain texture to it. Finally I used a gold pen to add some metal details.

I used these promarkers and flexmarkers to colour the Rescue Squad -
Dog - Warm Greys
Jacket - Poppy, Ruby, Cardinal Red & Burgundy
Fur - Tan, Sandstone & Cinnamon.
Trousers - Pine & Forest Green.
Boots & Gloves - Holly.
Barrel - Cinnamon, Raw Sienna & Cocoa.
All edged with Powder blue.

Hope you like today's creation - and are enjoying and hopefully getting some inspiration from these Christmas cards.
Thanks for stopping by, Liz (:(|)x
