Dr Digi in Making Cards Magazine.

So I can finally reveal that I have had the cards that I made using Dr Digi images published in  Making Cards Magazine which is out now. In the magazine is a discount code for your to get these fab Christmas images...

I used a DoCrafts 12 Days of Christmas Filigree Card blank amd covered the inside with Lawn Fawn Snow day patterened paper. I printed the image which is called Simple Santa onto Super smooth card and coloured the image with Promarkers. I die cut the image using a Lawn Fawn stitiched circle die and attached it to the middle of the card. I used the same die to get the correct shape – arrange the letters from an Alphabet stamp setcalled Harolds Abc into an arc on a stamp block and stamp onto the image panel using Memento Ink. I added some Amercian Crafts Ribbon and then added the greeting from Craftworks cards onto a punched circle. I used diamond stickles to add some sparkle to the snowman and finally added a Holly leaf embellishment from Hobbycraft.

I used these Promarkers and Flexmarkers –
Skin – Antique White, Blush, Soft Peach, Coral & Spice, with Baby Pink Cheeks.
Trousers & Scarf - Poppy, Ruby & Burgundy.
Scarf & Leaves – Emerald, Forest Green, Pine & Holly.
Snowman – Powder Blue
Stick – Cinnamon & Cocoa
Carrot nose – Orange, Bright Orange & Gold.
Beard, Boots, Hat & Phone – Cool Greys 1 to 5

I will post the other cards another time but for now I hope this encourages you to go and get the mag and the images,

Kindness is beautiful - All Dressed Up Challenge

Afternoon - I hope you are having a lovely Easter Bank Holiday! Today is also the start of a new challenge at All Dressed Up.  I have used this beautiful image called Party Season.
I wanted to make a special card so used this stunning gold wood effect paper from Jen Hadfield Homemade collection and the foiled greeting is from Homemade Quotes.

I made the card base by simply folding the front panel back in half and the band is folded the opposite way. Its very simple but effective. I covered the band with paper from MFT watercolour wash brights and used a little gold mirri to edge the panel. I used gold pen on the girls belt, purse and top. I used Olympic Gold Cosmic shimmer pigment to colour the middle top and it really does shine like gold! I used a Woodware punch to make some leaves and added a resin flowers that I edged with Gold stickles. Finally I added a couple of puffy Gold Hearts from Freckled fawn.

I used these promarkers and flexmarkers to colour the image -
Blue Greys 1 - 5
Buttercup, Pineapple Crush, Sleigh Bells and Raw Sienna.
Saffron, Cinnamon,Cocoa, Saddle Brown & Walnut
Baby Pink, Cocktail Pink, Pink Lobster & Red Sweater.
Meadow Green, Apple, Leaf Green & Forest Green.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges -
Fussy &Fancy - Fancy folds
Cardz 4 Galz - Handbags & Gladrags
Fairy Tale Challenge - More than one fold
Love to Scrap - Girls rule
Naughty or nice - Three of something

I hope you like my card and will take some time to create with these beautiful images from All Dressed Up. There are some Freebie to get you addicted over on the blog too! Take a look Here -} alldressedupchallenges.blogspot.co.uk

Butterfly Kisses.

Afternoon - today is the start of a new challenge at All Dressed Up. For my DT card this month I have used this gorgeous image called Butterfly kisses (Just click on the name to buy in the Etsy shop.) This challenge runs for a month and you can enter with anything made using an All Dressed Up Image for a chance to win some lovely images of your choice!

I have used paper from First Edition Paradise Crush- the butterflies are on one side and the spots the other. I used a lawn Fawn die cut a circle from the front and then added some acetate between the care blank and patterned paper. I used the spare stripe of paper to attach the Lawn Fawn die cut Happy birthday sentiment which was cut from gold card. I punched some big butterflies using a woodware punch from gold and orange glitter card from Doodlebug. Finally I added some teal gems from Papermania on to the butterfly.

I used these promarkers and flexmarkers to colour the image-
Skin - as always!
Hair - Pineapple crush, Mustard, Sleigh Bells & Raw Sienna.
Coat - Powder blue
Bag - Tropical orchid & Trick or treat.
Hat & Scarf - Pastel green, Oasis & Island Lagoon.

I hope you like her - I have actually already sent her to my Sister in law for her birthday as she loves Butterflies.
Thanks for looking,
