December new release at All Dressed Up Stamps

Evening -  The new releases for All Dressed Up Stamps have been showcased today by the fab Design Team. I got to play with this image called Sledging Pup.

I coloured the image with copics and used Lawn Fawn & My Favourite things dies to create the scene. The greeting is a stamp from My Favourite things and I thought it went really well with this Pup - Who is coloured grey like my fluffy Skye pup. I really hope we get some snow on a day when I am off work as I would love to see how she reacts to snow - I think she would love chasing snowballs around.

I hope you will visit the All Dressed Up Stamps blog and All Dressed Up Facebook page and see all the other new releases and inspiration.

Have a good weekend,

All Dressed Up Catch up!

Gosh I really am neglecting my blog of late so here is a quick catch up of my latest creations for All Dressed up stamps which you can get on Etsy

This one uses an image called Its Snowing and I used a background stamp from Stamping Bella and added a few die cut trees. I coloured it with Copics and use blender pen and Posca pen to add the snow effect.

This one is a new release image called Woof Christmas and I coloured it using Zig markers.  I nearly always use Copics so I probably need to practice a bit more with other mediums.

This is also from the latest release and is called Christmas Skater - isnt she lovely. I teamed her with new papers from Honey Bee stamps.
I hope you like these and will pop over to the All dressed up blog and maybe join the challenges.

Perfect day for Dog walking.

Hello - Its been a pleasant day here so I've been out with the pooch on the fields having a bit of a run around. Its muddy but it cleans off so who cares! We have caught up with the family and soon its time for Sunday dinner... Perfect! I really am a girl of simple pleasures.
So I loved this image as soon as I saw it - This is Dog Walking Doreen from Dr Digi and I've tried to create a little scene around her. Not sure the perspective is quite right but its artistic license...

The image is coloured with copics and die cut with a My Favourite things stitched edge die. I used freebie papers from a magazine that I've had for ages and added a little dark green lace and a banner sticker. I haven't decided on the greeting yet... see what I end up using it for I gues.

Hope you are having a lovely Sunday,
Liz (:(|)x
P.S. No mention of the rugby this week - Gutted for England but the team did so well against New Zealand... I think that was our final!

Halloween Hugs

Hello - I am being very lapse with my own blog of late. I am busy with the pup and determined to get all my dt cards made and posted so my blog is the thing that gives sometimes. I am thinking about a revamp to be honest... but I would also like to set up a full website so I can sell some of my card stash!! It just depends on finding the time!
So here is my card from The Paper Shelter from the latest challenge with the theme Halloween. It was a really lovely image to colour and it called My Little She-devil Costume.

I kept the card quite simple and think the black stripes are quite striking with the red HUGS which is a die cut.
Hope you like it and are having a good weekend.

Fanks Drac

Morning all.
I am feeling fresh after my extra hours sleep and still buzzing from the exciting game of World Cup Rugby yesterday. England are in the final!! I am writing this whilst watching the other semi final of Wales v South Africa.
So my card today is using Drac's Dentures  from Dr Digi. Now we don't really do Halloween but it is becoming such a massive event now and Dr Digi has loads of fab fun images but my point is - they are also really good for other celebrations. So I have used this image to make a Thank You card, but it could be a Get well card or a Older Birthday card.

I've coloured Drac with copics and teamed him with Doodlebug papers and letters to spell out the greeting. The bats are little peel offs and the black gem swirls are from Hobbycraft.

I  hope you like my card for today and have a great weekend (Despite the rain!)
Fingers crossed for an even better weekend next time with the Rugby World Cup final!!!

Stans Stolen sandwich

Afternoon -
Today I have a card to show you using an image called Stan's Stolen Sandwich from Dr Digi. I love the fun in these images and you can be really sarcastic with the greetings! That appeals to my sense of humor totally!!

Now I couldn't get through a post without mentioning Skye... She hovers around us like a seagull trying to get some bits of our food! But she is definitely less aggressive than most of these big birds - they'd have your arm off for your chips or ice cream!!
I hope you like my card and are having a lovely Sunday.

Fetching Skye

Hello
Anyone missed my thousands of posts and pics about our new pup Skye??? Don't worry I will go on and on about her for a while yet!! Even my crafting it not safe and is full of dogs at the mo.

So Dr Digi have this image called FETCHING FIDO. Skye didn't know what a ball was when we got her but the natural instincts to chase and fetch are now coming out when she plays and she loves a stick in her mouth whilst she is out walking - Its so lovely to see her settling and relaxing with us.
Its a lovely Sunny day but Autumn is definitely around the corner so this afternoon its time for a good walk.
Have a great day -

New Pup!

Hello!!

So this week we got a new puppy and we adore her! She is called Skye and she was rescued from Romania. She was one of five puppies to a young mum who is now safe and called Winter. When the amazing lady went to rescue them all - one of the puppies was missing and the worst was feared for her. So the Mum and 4 sisters were brought to the UK and rehomed. Skye was missing for two weeks aged about 3 months old all by herself until she turned back up to where the rest of the family were found.
On Saturday 24th August Skye arrived in the UK and on Wednesday 28th August we went to collect our little fluffy pooch (Who isn't so little and has the longest legs!!)

So in honor of our Pup Skye - here is Napping Neville  from Dr Digi - Skye is still a little bit nervous so doesn't sit on laps like this just yet but she is making herself at home, learning everyday and her cheeky personality is coming out! So glad we have chew toys!!

Also - I forgot to share this Dr Digi with you using El Diablo.
Right - all from me for now,
see you soon,

Training School.

Morning - the new Challenge at The Paper Shelter is the theme of Back to School. I have chosen to play with the image called My Little Dragon Army -
It reminded me of the film "How to train your Dragon?"
So today we also pick up our new rescue Puppy... and we will be going back to school to learn how to train her. She is 5 months old and has been rescued from the streets of Romania. She has never been on a lead and is quite shy and timid at the moment so we have to be slow and gentle in her training.
Anyway enough about that - I hope you like my card and will join in the challenge.

Smashing time

Hello - So today's excuse for being late is the weather.. (Anyone collecting my excuses to play Bingo with??) What? I hear you all asking... "Its great sunshine!" And that is why... I had to go for my run early before it got too hot. But I'm here now to show you Pinata-Pedro & his Pinata

Aren't they just the best images for a birthday, although the sun would need to stay out for this to happen in my world. Can you imagine the mess and damage Pedro would do with that bat!!!?
Have a great Bank Holiday weekend.

You're Cool

Good Morning
It's the start of our little summer break at The Paper Shelter and the theme for the extra long challenge is Anything goes. I've gone with the holiday summer theme by using Ice Cream Man.
I put him with the perfect Ice Cream cone paper and coloured it in pinks and mint greens. I added some pink pom pom trim that reminded me of scooped Ice cream and added some twine with an ice cream cone charm attached. Finally I stamped the You're cool onto the chippie flag.

I could live off Ice Cream at the moment in this amazing heat wave!

So you have extra time to join the challenge this time and I know its school hols but why not get the kids creating too... Great way to spend an afternoon and its free!!

See you soon,
Liz (:(|)x

Cracker image for a Pun

Morning -
Have you seen this new image yet from Dr Digi. Its called Safecracker Sam.
I enjoyed colouring him as I got to practice my Black shading. Using a little trick I had learnt at a copic class of leaving a small lighter edge to show some the depth.

And you know I love a pun so what better than this "Cracker" but I do wonder if Sam got much swag?

The paper is from My favourite things and I mounted the image onto black card. I used green lettters from Doodlebug and some silver and black letters from Hobbycraft.
Have a fab Sunday peeps, See you next week

Lazy Days Of Summer

Morning,
How is the weather doing round your way? Yesterday was our local parade day and it turned out nice but today is expected to be sunnier...at the mo its quite cloudy but warm. Im not sure its suitable for
Paddling Pool Peggy from Dr Digi to lounge in like on this picture. And regardless... I have to empty and sort out under the stairs whilst we still have the skip on the drive. So no lazy days of Summer for me at the mo!!
Hope your get a chance to relax today - that's what Sundays are for!

I coloured Peggy with Copics and the paper & greeting sticker is from Echo Park I love Sunshine collection. I used a My Favourite things scalloped edge die to cut the blue paper and a posca pen to add dots to Peggys swimsuit.

Trekking Girl

Hello -
There is a new challenge at The Paper Shelter and the theme is Holidays. I used this image called
Trekking Girl
I really struggle to not go full bold colour on everything... so I'm pleased with the soft tones I managed to stick to with this card.  I teamed it with kraft card and a grey boarder to match the font. I kept it simple but I think its a cute card.

Thanks for visiting my blog - its appreciated,

All Dressed Up Copic Challenge July 2019

It is the 1st July! It will soon be Christmas... (EEK -Should I have started making Christmas Cards??) So it does mean that there is a new challenge over at Copic UK and this months optional theme is to use An All Dressed Up Image... This is to celebrate the new Rubber stamps that have been released and are available from Crafteezee but these fabulous images are also available from the All Dressed Up Stamps store on Etsy (And there are also some freebies on the the All Dressed Up blog... #enabler!)

Of course the theme is always an optional extra and we love to see any creation using copics so with all these mediums covered there really is no excuse to not join in for your chance to win a prize from our Faye.

I have played with this rubber stamp called Time to Shine.
I used vellum over the base card and a star die cut with pink satin card. I covered the glass with glaze and sprinkled a little cosmic shimmer to give it a little sparkle.
I also made this card with the new rubber stamps and haven't shown this card yet. This image is called What to wear.
I used a greeting from Pebbles and added a couple of red gems to copy the gold dots. I also added some red ribbon.

Right that's all for now. I hope you get to join in the Copic challenge or the All dressed up blog challenge which is always an Anything goes theme as long as you use an All Dressed Up image.

Joy for Happy Hour Horrace.

Happy Hour Horrace from Dr Digi

Digital Backgrounds

Hello!
The new challenge at the Paper Shelter is a Digi theme. Now this could just be a digital image but I decided to do something I've not done for a while and made a card without a coloured image. So I used the background papers from Wearing Spring
I printed them out a few times and cut less and less from each layer before I used 3d foam to attach them.

I mounted the background onto some grey card and added some Wink of Stella clear on to some of the leaves. Finally I used a Make It Crafty chippie and coloured the base layer in a matching grey colour with copics (I had to get them in somewhere right!!?) I think it looks quite effective over all and shows how many uses there are with the image packages from The Paper Shelter not just the individual image alone!!
