Morning - The new weekly challenge is starting at The Paper Shelter and the theme is to make a Christmas Card. Now I know you will all be doing these so I am expecting lots of entries as they don't have to be a Paper Shelter image but you get better prizes if they are!!
I have used an image called Enchanted Christmas. I covered my card base with paper from Lawn Fawn Snowdays and matted this with Red mirri card which I also used to cut the scalloped circle using a Nestibilities die.
I added some Tilda ribbon and covered the bauble in the image with glaze pen which I then sprinkled with cosmic shimmer.
The chipboard bauble is from Scrapiniec and the hearts are from Wycinanka - I think these are my newest obession! I filled some of the shapes with Star dust stickles.
I used these promarkers and flexmarkers to colour the image -
Skin - usual.
Pink Mittens, Baby pink, Cocktail & Cerise
Lime Zest, Lime green & Pear Green
Lush Green, Emerald & Pine
Poppy, Ruby, Cardinal red & Burgundy
Powder blue & Blue grey 2 (With a little Cloud blue & Imperial Violet prisma colour pencils)
I used white pen on the spots on the wings.
I hope you like her - you will notice I have done her socks just like my Monkey emblem as these are just like the socks I made my first Monkey from.

I added some yellow and star dust stickles to give the images and fire a little twinkle. I stamped the greeting from the same set and added some yellow gems and snowflake ribbon from Hobbycraft.
I used these promarkers & flexmarkers to colour the image -
Marshmallows & Stick- Baby pink, Cocoa & Raw Sienna.
Fire & trim - Canary, Gold & Bright Orange.
Coat - Wild Orchid, Purple Velvet & Plum.
Penguin - Warm Grey 1, 3, 4 & 5
Powder blue shading on the white areas.
I hope you like my bright card. I had fun colouring these and will be doing lots more!

Simple Santa on a Simple Sunday.
Hello - The theme for today is Simple... I have a little bit of a headache after being at a friends 40th Birthday party last night so everything I do today needs to be very simple and will be done very slowly!!!
The card I have made to show you today is using DR Digi image called Simple Santa. And I have kept the design very Clean and Simple too and even used a background paper and greeting from Simple Stories!! (It's like it did it on purpose!!) The range is called Claus & Co and it has lovely sparkle foiled elements - I really love it.
I used a friskars punch to make the boarded in red mirri card and mounted the greeting panel in the same. The Ribbon is from Hobbycraft. Other than that the card is very SIMPLE and with these lovely crisp images - I don't think they need much else. Oooo apart from a bit of diamond stickles on his fur trim!!
I used these promarkers and flexmarkers to colour the image -
Skin - Usual
Clothes - Red, Poppy, Ruby, Cardinal Red & Burgundy.
Sack - Pear green & Lime Zest with a Emerald & Grass green panel.
Boots and gloves - Cools greys
Used a little cool grey and powder blue to shade the beard also.
Right I'm off to get copious amount of tea ...
See you soon,

Christmas Chris All round.
Afternoon - Sorry i'm late today. I have no excused - I just wasn't organised so this card has literally just been finished in the Monkey Hut.
I've gone with a very rotund theme... Round card base, spotty paper, round die cut and a "portly" image from Dr Digi called Christmas Chris
I've left a space above the ribbon as I plan to customise this card for someone nearer to Christmas. I can add there name then along the curve with gold letters.
The fab gold spotty paper is from The Gilded collection from Die Cuts with A View and I mounted this onto round base card. I die cut a circle using Lawn Fawn stitched dies from an embossed card piece from Spellbinders. The ribbon was from my ever growing stash! and the wooden embellishment was from kaisercraft. I used Christmas Holly stickles on the leaves and added 3 red gems.
I used these promarkers and flexmarkers for Christmas Chris -
Skin - Usual with Cocktail pink cheeks and ears.
Hooves - Warm Grey 5,4, 3 &1
Holly - Lush & Forest Green
Berries & nose - Poppy, Ruby & Cardinal red
Antlers & Belly- Light Fawn, Tan & Saffron
Onesie - Cinnamon, Cocoa & henna
Pudding - Walnut, Cinnamon, Aubergine & Burgundy (Could almost be the ingrediants!!)
Hope you are likely my Christmas cards!

Snug but stylish.
Afternoon - The new challenge has started over at The Paper Shelter and I have used an image called Snug but Stylish.
Theme of the challenge is to use more than one of Anything so I have added ... (Wait for it... ) - two flower embellishments from the internet, two felt holly leaves from Hobbycraft, Two layers using gold mirri and two gold leaves cut using a Marianne die. I even use a lamp post with two lights which I filled inside with two colours of stickles - diamond and yellow, as well as two different patterned papers from Papermania. Think I got the theme covered and if I'm honest as lot of it happened by accident!!

Sparkly Flamingo
OOPS I'm a bit late with this post... sorry and don't tell the bosses over at I love Promarkers!! Where the new challenge has gone live. The theme is No Patterened papers which I don't mind admitting was really hard for me! Thats really my thing - I have always wanted to create my own backgrounds with inks and stencils etc but just never seen to find the time. Plus I have such a huge stash of paper - 12x12 and 6x6 (But hush... Don't tell the other half I admitted that as I always NEED more!!)
So the challenge is sponsored by Digital Delights and I have used an image called Festive flamingo. Which just has to be pink!!

I wish I could remember where the background die cut was from but I really can't and it doesn't say on it!! I coloured the bulbs and added some silver to make them shine. I glued this onto the sparkly Doodlebug glitter card and at the bottom some silver mirri to look like ice or a frozen lake. I mounted all this onto black card and then attached the fairy lights embellishment banner from Hobbycraft. I used the greeting from Kaiser craft and added some diamond stickles.
I used these promarkers and flexmarkers to colour the image -
Hat - Poppy, Burgundy & Cardinal
Skates - Cool grey 3,4,& 5 -with black.
Beak - Canary & gold
Wing - Magenta & Mulberry
Bird - Rose Peach & Carmine
Powder blue shading and True blue, Emerald, canary & poppy lights.
Hope you like my sparkly pink flamingo.
See you soon, Liz (:(|)x

The background scene is from Simple Stories Snow Fun collection and I have created a frame using the different shades of Blue Bazzill card stock. The Ticket is also from Simple Stories. I added my coloured image using 3d foam and then I used some Frantage embossing powder (Which I still don't quite have the hang of!!) to look like snow over the whole piece. All Dressed Up Christmas Tree Fairy
Afternoon - Have you seen the gorgeous new releases at All Dressed up? I have used an image called Christmas Tree Fairy but you can get all the new releases and any other image here -} All Dressed up Etsy. And for lots of inspiration visit the Challenge Blog.
The paper I have teamed up with our fairy is quite bold but I love the bright contrast of it with the white. Its from Tilda Christmas flowers collection. I die cut the image using Lawn Fawn stitched rectangle and mounted it onto gold mirri. Behind it I glued some shimmer ribbon and a die cut tree boarder from Lawn fawn using a lovely green satin card.
I used a sticker from Do crafts for the greeting but this was clear and got lost on the background so I stuck it onto some shimmery Vellum and then cut around it before attaching it with 3D foam.
On the fairy I used a gold pen to make the stars sparkle and diamond stickles on her wings and finally added a few red gems from Papermania.
I used these promarkers and flexmarkers to colour the image -
Skin - Coral, Soft peach, Blush, Antique white & baby pink.
Hair - Warm grey 5, 4 & 2
Wings - Powder blue
Skirt - Baby Pink, Carmine & Magenta
Tree - Lime & Pear green and Emerald & Lush green.
I would like to enter this card into these challenges:

Santa Selfie
Morning - I have been busy making Christmas cards and today I am showing you one made with Santa Selfie.
One of the things I love most about Dr Digi image is that they are great for the Men in our lives. So often its hard to find images for the boys that are not too cute or stereotypical "Masculine" like cars and sports. Dr Digi allows me to make humorous cards and at the mo I am loving the wood effect backgrounds and elements - which go perfectly with the Dr Digi guys.
I have used these promarkers and flexmarkers to colour Santa -
Skin - Antique white, blush, soft peach, coral, Spice & Cocktail pink cheeks
Pants - Red, Poppy, Ruby & Cardinal red.
Shirt - Linen with gold buttons
Braces, Boots, Mobile & Hat - Warm Grey 1,2 4 & 5
Scarf - Lime Zest, Lime green & Pear green, Sky blue, arctic blue & indigo blue.
Stick arm - Sandstone, Burnt Umber & Cocoa
Snowman - Powder blue.
I would like to enter this card into these challenges -
Christmas cards all year - Santa
Gem of a challenge - Snowflake
Crafty Catz - Snowflakes.
Creative fingers - ATG
Unicorn challenge - Snowflakes
Thanks for popping in,
Liz (:(|)x

Baby's 1st Christmas
Today is the start of a new challenge at The Paper Shelter and the theme is "For a child" so I have used this cute image called Christmas Stocking
I used paper from Simple Stories Claus and Co collection for the background and coloured the image in to match. I cut around the image and attached it to the background with 3d foam and a small silver gem to look like a nail head. I added a few glittery silver stars from Doodlebug and two larger stars from Simple Stories.
I used Harolds ABC alphabet stamps from Lawn Fawn to spell out Baby's First Christmas and finally added some star dust stickles to the fur and bobble of the hat.
I used these promarkers and flexmarkers to colour the image -
Skin - Antique white, Blush, Soft Peach, Coral & Spice with Cocktail pink cheeks.
Leaves - Forest green, Pine & Holly.
Bow & Hat - Poppy, Ruby, Cardinal red & Burgundy
Stocking - Lime Green & Pear Green.
Shadow - Warm Grey 1 & 2

I love promarkers distressed edges
Hello - today sees the start of the new Challenge at I love Promarkers and the theme is Distress those edges.
This isn't something I do very often so I'm not that great at it. I used a Tim Holtz distresser on all the edges but obviously I'm not heavy handed enough (ha - if only!!) as you can barely see the effect on this picture.
The image I have used is from iKESART digital stamps and is called Muse 3.
I have used paper from My Minds Eye Fancy That collection to cover the background. I used a Paper Smooches die cut to make the greeting from pink Satin card. I die cut the image using Lawn Fawn stitched square die and mounted this on the same pink Satin card. Finally I added 3 co-ordinating gems.
We would love to see all your entries into the challenge - Prizes everyweek!!
Speak soon,
Liz (:(|)x
