Lets do it.... but what??

Hello - anyone else not really sure what day it is? That weird time between Christmas and New Year when everyday feels like a Sunday... so this image High Score Hugh seemed perfect. We have rarely been dressed before midday and I'll admit somedays the Pj's have stayed on all day!! Its so nice to relax and although we still have decorating to do in the house - the main living spaces are done and we had a big party with all our relatives, friends and neighbours to say Thank you for feeding us and generally putting up with all the noise and mess all year!!

So admit it - how many of you have sat in front of the TV or your games in your comfy Pyjamas and eaten left over buffet food?? Im not sure if "Lets do it" is a rally cry to get up and out or a supportive lets allow ourselves to slob out!!  I applaud you all either way and wish everyone a very Merry New Year!!

Robins? or am I Quackers?

So I've been doing some experimenting lately with stretching my stash due to my little self imposed embargo on crafty spending - so I have been looking at other ways I can use images, altering them slightly through cropping, focusing on one part of an image or colouring them differently to change the image. (Obviously I am aware of copyright etc and abide by all the rules - they remain the original image and are always credited as such!) And here is one such way... I learnt this idea after doing a fabulous Copic colouring course with wonderful Faye (May on your colouring folk will know who I mean instantly) where we changed chicks into Robins and Pengiuns so I thought I would change this Dr Digi image called Quackers into Christmas Robins!
So what do you reckon ?? Am I Quackers at trying this idea?
Have a lovely Sunday

So for the new challenge I have used an image called Christmas stocking and I've used it to make my Niece a christmas card.

Have a fabulous christmas and very merry New Year!

Happy Christmoose

Wow - its been a bit of manic week - Rushing to get the house into a fit state as I had some friends staying over after our works christmas do - A promise I made in about September when we still believed our building work would only take 4-5 months!! But we have managed to get most of the important bits done so we have fully functioning kitchen, Bathrooms and bedrooms ! Whoop! Anyways at the christmas do there were dodgems... not the best idea when drunk as the pain in my neck proves everytime I raise my arm so mostly things have been going slowly today. So I finally got round to make this later on today than planned -  hope you don't mind!
How cool is Mortimer the Moose... and we all love a pun here at Dr Digi - so here he is wishing you a Happy Christmoose.

Have a great week, See you back here next week!

Barmaid Bev and blustrery Autumn days.

Morning - sorry I am a bit later today - only finished the card last night and wanted to wait till daylight to photograph... then as there were no workmen at the house - took full advantage of not having to set an alarm and had a lie in!! We even had a pot of tea lounging in bed!! Lovely! And we are off to my sisters this afternoon for a Roast dinner. She lives in the middle of the countryside so it will be lovely on a bluster autumnal day with the big open fire. (I will make sure I am not driving so I can have a few glass of Red wine !) But first there is painting and cleaning to do so its not a completely restful day but at least I will deserve all the food and drink!
Now I reckon Our Bev the Barmaid has served a few red wines and pints... isnt't she fab! Obviously she had to have animal print clothing and big bright hair!

Hope you all have a lovely Sunday, whatever you are up to -
Cheers!

Dr Demento

Morning - did you all enjoy the extra hour in bed?
Im doing a colouring class this weekend so it was fun to put into practice some tips and techniques I learnt. This image is from Dr Digi and is called Dr Demento - I thought it was perfect for this Halloween week. Although I doubt we will get any Trick or Treaters as they would have to negotiate our building site and currently we have a moat whilst the porch is being done!! Maybe I should fill it with dry ice and lights to make it scary!!!

I hope you like my card - there are loads of seasonal images to play with at Dr Digi so pop over and pick up a few. And share it with us at the Dr Digi facebook page

Cute little Devils

Morning - This weeks challenge at The Paper Shelter is seasonal and is Halloween! I have used this image called My Cute Little Devils along with paper from Simple Stories.

My cards are still pretty CAS but I have been able to put paint on the walls of my new craft room so we are getting there. The last of the bricks and mortar is being built this week so that should be a big step!! to say I can't wait fir it all to be done is an understatement!!!

So all from me for now, Have a great day,

Hope you like the card and always get cake on your birthday!

Warm Hands Warm Heart

Hello -
We have just started a brand new challenge at All Dressed Up blog. I have created this card using an image called Warm Hands Warm Heart. There seems to be a lot of people going through testing times at the moment with family and health problems so this card goes to all them to send them love and hugs. It certainly puts my little strops about how long our rennovations are taking into perspective!
I might add some embellishments to this card ... when I find them! Its seems a bit empty down the bottom so Ill attach another photo if I do.

Right - I'm off for a run before it gets too cold!

Connected for sound

Morning all - today there is a new challenge at The Paper Shelter blog and the theme is music or dance. I chose to so Music and used this image called Connected
as I had the perfect paper to go with it. Also all my music now comes from my laptop or phone... the wizardy of wireless speakers!!

So I now have a virtually completely working kitchen so my morning (Before I go to work) is going to be spent cleaning it ready to be re stocked ! It a small pleasure but I've waited soooo long for this moment - just the rest of the house to finish now!!!

Hope you will all enter the challenge and play along - I love seeing what you are create

New shoes can change your life.

Morning - there is a new challenge beginning at I love Promarkers and the theme is to use 3 of something - fab theme isn't it as I've always been told three gives a good balance in design. For my card I used a sponsor image from Bugaboo called Frame it - Cinderella.
I used three coloured matts to layer the image as well as three colours and three embellishments with the pearl gems. I coloured the image with Promarkers and I added loads of stardust stickles to make the shoe shine... afterall everyone needs sparkly shoes and who knows when a pair of shoes will change your life!!

I hope you will all enter this fab challenge - can't wait to see what you create!
Hope you like my Cinders!

Happy Buddhist Bernie

Morning - I took this picture late last night as I'm currently staying at my Mums dog sitting -  two benefits... there is no dust and there is a cooker!! Downside is I have even less crafty stuff and had to take this photo with a lamp so apologies for the quality of the photo.
So whilst I have been away from the reno's I've coloured up Buddhist Bernie.
He is such as fabulous image and would fit so many occassions -  I tried to play with my skin tones too! I think they have worked out pretty good.

So Im hoping by the end of this week I may have a fully fitted working kitchen.... I do now have a working bathroom with shower and bath with running hot water!!! I love a bath but I'm going to wait until its all painted and cleaned properly so I can relax with some music and wine. Can you guess what Image I'll colour that week?? Lol!
Right - Better get back to the white paint being sucked up by the fresh plaster!!

Autumn Enchantment

Morning -  We have a new challenge starting at The Paper shelter and the theme is Autumn colours! What a lovely topic to play with and the colours are so beautiful. I really enjoyed colouring this image called Autumn Enchantment.
I didnt know what colour to do her hair and then earlier this week we had a little frost and dew on the car and ground as I went off to work at 6.30 am so I decide to give her silver frosty hair and it goes perfectly with the colours in the paper from My Minds Eye.
I also a little Birch tree die I got free with a magazine recently as I thought it need something else down the side and as I've already mentioned my available embellishment stash is running low of choice... (Can't wait to get my house and craft room back!!!)

Right all for now from me - Im on dog sitting duties this week so need to go and tire him out before I go to work.
Have a lovely day and I hope you will all join in the challenge for a chance to win a cracking voucher for more Paper Shelter images!!

Mood Music for decorating too.

Morning -
Taking a very quick break from painting to share this picture of card I made for Dr Digi using an image called Mood Music.
So the building work is still going on but we are able to crack on with some decorating now which feels like we are getting there... but I have run out of most of stash I didn't box up so my cards are super CAS as the mo!! Lol! You wait - when I get my new craft room organised and unpacked -my cards will be so fancy and fussy at all the embellishments I re-discover!!
Right - back to it! Have a great Sunday folk!

Stay Awesome

Morning -  We have a new challenge starting at  I love promarker and the theme is always anything goes but with the optional extra of using an Animal.
We are sponsored by Dr Digi and I've used an image called Tyson & Topsy
on a kraft card base and coloured with promakers. The greeting is a stamp from My Favourite things.
Better crack on with my day... busy busy.
Have a good one - Liz (:(|)x

#HORNY

Good Morning - popping in to show you my latest creation with a Dr Digi image called Ronald the Rhino .
I hope no one is offended by the comment!! Ha! I enjoyed colouring his skin to give him texture and had to keep it fairly simple with my limited craft stash available to me.
Just shows these images can be used for almost anything anytime!!!

Autumnal Monique

Hello - its started feeling very Autumnal all of sudden around my house! The building work is continuing but I am hopeful after this week we will have a working bathroom and maybe even heating!!!
So my card for this weeks challenge at The Paper Shelter probably reflects this a little in the warm coat and colours! I have used an image called Monique
and theme is Embossing. Fairly easy theme really... if I hadn't packed all my embossing folders away at the bottom of a big pile covered in dust sheets... at least I think thats where they are?? But I did manage to use the little flower dies that have an embossed edge which I think you can just about see on the picture!

We would love to see lots of entries into the challenge - you don't have to use a Paper shelter image to enter but if you do - you can win a whole load more!!

Thanks for stopping by,

Professor Bens Birthday.

Morning - today is Bens birthday and he's returned home from being on a training course all week so
Professor Wiggingson  seemed very appropriate.
I teamed him up with some Maths formula background paper so it kept the scientific theme going and I tried to make him look like he was wearing caudroy tousers.

So I hope it will be a lazy morning (only one without the builders !!) and then a trip out somewhere for some fresh air away from all the dust!

I hope you all have a lovely day too!

Sleepy Time

Hello - have you seen the new releases over at All Dressed Up? They are gorgeous and there seems to be a theme of sleep! Something I def need more of! I would love to go into hibernation and just wake up when all our building work is finished but that's not going to happen so.... we keep soldiering on!!

I got to play with this cute fox image called Sleepy time  which I coloured with Copics and then added some texture using prisma colour pencils. I die cut the image and used tree paper from Websters pages on a kraft base. I added some lace and a gold greeting from Do Crafts.

I hope you like Foxy - and go to take a look at all the other lovely creations with the beautiful new images.

Thanks for stopping by!!

Cute Zebra says HI!

Morning - the new challenge has just been launched at I love Promarkers . This week’s theme is Anything Goes with the option of   No Patterned papers  and the sponsor is  Fabrika Fantasy
I have used an image called  Cute Zebra 3. I love his little fat belly and all the round shapes so I used that as my design as I really struggle to not use patterened papers!!

I I coloured him with promarkers and used a Lawn Fawn circle die to cut him out and the red mirri card. I added some blue dots from Papermania and a greeting from Pebbles. As I am still only working on minimal crafty tools and goodies - I didn't have any glaze available to make his balloon shiny unfortunatly. I cannot wait to get my craft room back but it is still some weeks off... think a kitchen and bathroom need to take priority!! Its like camping in my own house at the mo!!!

Right all from me, Have a great day and I hope you will all join in the challenge.

Birthday Bot celebrates

Morning - for todays Dr Digi card I have used an image called Birthday Bot. The picture is not so great as I took it late last night and I still don't have a craft room and probably won't have for some time yet!
It's the Husbands birthday next weekend and he says he doesn't need anything or want anything as we have spent lots of money lately with all the renovations but is it acceptable to not buy a single gift??? Let me know your thoughts as I still think I should get something!!
Right all for now,
Have a lovely day, Liz (:(|)x

Back To School

There is a new challenge at The Paper Shelter and I have used an image called In the Class
as the theme is Back to School.

I used paper from lawn fawn really rainbow pad and pencil paper from Bella Blvd. I die cut the edges using My Favourite things scalloped stitched edge die and coloured the image with Copics.

Cinderella

Morning - have you checked out our new challenge yet over at I love Promarkers? Its an Anything Goes theme with the option of Using A Die Cut Or Punch. Our sponsor is  StarStampz  and I have used Cinderella.  She was fun to colour and great to practice colouring dress folds. They are a bit dodgy in places but on the whole Im pleased with them.

I coloured the image with promarkers and used paper from My Favourite things and Lawn Fawn Really rainbow. I die cut the image panel and mat using Mft dies and I cut the star boarder die using a Sunny studio die. The greeting is from Mama Elephant and I added a little gold star gems from Papermania.
Hope you will all join in our challenge as I love visiting everyones blogs!
Say hi if you stop to have a look at mine too.

But luckily I like a clean and simple style and this card has used one of my newer paper pads from Lawn Fawn called Really Rainbow.  The image is from Dr Digi and is called That's Tragic

I used a greeting sticker from Pebbles and added a few sparkly stars from Papermania. Right thats all from me for today.

A Refreshing Break

After our summer break we are back with a new challenge at The Paper Shelter blog. The theme is dies and punches and I have used an image called A Refreshing Break.
I'm sorry my picture isn't as good a normal but I am currently without craft room due to major house renovations so I am having to improvise on things a little!!

I used a tree die from Memory Box and a My Favourite thing stitched wonky edge die to cut the hill from Doodlebug puppy love paper pad. I also used  My Favourite things  stitched wonky edge rectangle die to cut and frame the image which I coloured using copics. Finally I added a greeting from Pebbles.

I hope you like her and will get chance to play along with the challenge.

Office dude.

Morning All!
I'm sorry my picture isn't too great.... We are mid house renovations and this weekend I have had to pack up my craft room and office so I don't have my daylight bulbs for photos.
Anyway it seems rather apt that when I lose my creative space for a short time I colour up
Hector the Hipster  from Dr Digi who is sat looking all trendy at his desk and laptop. So I have set up a few essentials in the living room - just to keep me going till our extension is finished.

I've coloured the image with copics and cut him out with a My Favourite things stitched wonky rectangle die.

I hope you like him and will share any of your creations with us.

I coloured the image from Ike's art using Promarkets and die cut the image and some purple satin card using My Favourite things inside outside stitched die, Once the markers had dried I added some liquid pearls in the middle of the flowers. I stamped the greeting from Mama Elephant big scripty words and added some white matte sprinkles.

Hope you like it - Im pleased with how its turned out.

It's all downhill from here!

Morning -
Today is the last chance to get involved with our current promo theme of Boys V Girls which we are running along with Kit and Clowder. (https://www.facebook.com/groups/kitandclowder/) You need to join the group and then you can get Player Two image as a freebie but also a chance win amazing vouchers to spend at Dr Digi house of stamps.

So keep the theme last week I used Treadmill Tina and today I am doing a boy version using Run Derek Run. I thought he would work great as Birthday card for the slightly older Gent who might be "over the hill!"
I'm still running.... trying to get the miles in. I actually miss it if I don't go for a run everyone other day at least now - plus I don't feel as guilty if I eat lots of chocolate or a tub of ice cream!

The papers I used are from Simple Stories DIY Boutique and I've coloured Tina with Copics. I've added some ribbon and enamel shapes from Doodlebug. The letters are from Websters pages.

Thanks for stopping by and check out last weeks girlie version of this card too!
Have a lovely day,

Wryn loving her teddy bear.

Hello -
Today I am sharing a card I made using Wryn Loving and teddy bears  from Tiddly inks.
The greeting "Big hugs" was made using a Lawn Fawn Die called Big scripty words. I cut this from heart paper from Doodlebug pad called Puppy love. The heart paper at the bottom of the card is also from this pad. I die cut the image using a My Favourite things dies and attached this to the Kraft card base using 3d foam.

I used these copics to colour Wryn and I used a dotting method on the Teddy bear to try and make him look textured and fluffy! I think it has worked out ok but I need more practice!

Well thats all from me for now,
Liz (:(|)x

Flowers for Teddy Friend.

Morning there is a new challenge at I Love Promarkers and thie theme we were given to play with was a Photo Inspiration. This is the photo - some lovely bright flowers!
The sponsor is Bugaboo Stamps  and I have used an image called  Bug Flower Teddy -
I have raided my stash and used some flowers and a chipboard shape which I covered in stickles glitter glue. The Paper is from Doodlebug and I've had it forever!! I used a stamp from paper smooches to make the greeting.

I hope you like the card and will join in to show us what you are creating with your promarkers,

Fun in the Sun

Morning - there is a new and slightly longer challenge beginning today at The Paper Shelter as we are having a couple of weeks off to enjoy the Summer and this amazing weather we are having. (Although I can do without the hose pipe ban and the fires on the moors)

My card today used a new image called Having Fun in the Sun and she is just too cool!!  So she has funky blue hair and so super sunglasses!

I coloured her with COPICS and the paper and sticker are from Echo Park Summer Days collection with a little lolly ice (or is it an ice lolly??) charm tied to some thin blue ribbon.

Thanks for popping by and I hope you will find some time to join the challenge at the Paper shelter blog - you can win a cracking prize!

IT Ian

Morning -
Todays card is using I.T. Ian - Dr Digi .
I am rubbish with technology and always turn to my Husband to fix my laptop or the printer which has been a right nusiance this week. I still love a pencil and paper but I am also slightly addicted to my phone so I guess I am in that middle generation where it doesn't quite come naturally. I remember having to programme my parents Vhs recorder for them... Now Its my turn to struggle with setting the wifi and digital planner!!

Ive used copics to colour the image and the papers are My Minds Eye - Lil' Robots paper collection. i stamped a greeting from Mama Elephant Occasional Sayings and mounted it on black mirri card which I also used to make a boared using My Favourite things die. I also tied some twine around the card and made a little die cut spanner to add an embellishment using a screw brad.

Thanks for stopping by - that's all from me for now,
Liz (:(|)x
