You're Cool
Good Morning
It's the start of our little summer break at The Paper Shelter and the theme for the extra long challenge is Anything goes. I've gone with the holiday summer theme by using Ice Cream Man.
I put him with the perfect Ice Cream cone paper and coloured it in pinks and mint greens. I added some pink pom pom trim that reminded me of scooped Ice cream and added some twine with an ice cream cone charm attached. Finally I stamped the You're cool onto the chippie flag.
I could live off Ice Cream at the moment in this amazing heat wave!
So you have extra time to join the challenge this time and I know its school hols but why not get the kids creating too... Great way to spend an afternoon and its free!!
See you soon,

Christmas Penguin
Hello! I'm back with some more inspiration using the new release images from All Dressed Up. You can see them all on the facebook page and over at the blog. This one I've been playing with is called Christmas Penguin You can get your mitts on them at the Etsy shop.
The striped background paper with the heart and greeting are from Lawn Fawn Snow day collection whilst the patterned papers are from Lawn Fawn Knit Picky collection. I used a Martha Stewart edge punch on the green paper and added a thin strip of red mirri card to give the knitted paper a boarder.
I die cut the image with Lawn Fawn Stitched circle die and then added some stickles around the image to make it shimmer like frost. I attached some white pompom trim and finally a little sparkly snowflake.
I used these promarkers and flexmarkers to colour the image -
Poppy, Ruby & Burgundy
Powder Blue
Cinnamon & Henna
Cool Grey 2 - 5
Mandarin & Canary
Forest green & Grass.
Hope you like my creation with this lovely new image.

Alpaca the Wine.
Good Morning - Now you all know I love a pun - especially when an animal is involved too.... So here is Alice the Alpaca from Dr Digi - sending her Happy Birthday wishes along with some celebratory wine!
I used two different colours of pompom trim to keep a Peruvian theme (Are Alpaca's from Peru? and whats the difference between an Alpaca and a Llama??) along with the geometric patterened paper from My My Minds eye Jubilee Tangerine collection.
I cut the pattern panel and image using a My Favourite Things die called Wonky Stitched rectangle and then used stamps from Paper Smooches and Lawn Fawn Harolds ABC before finishing the card off with some co-ordinating enamel dots.
I only used a handful of promarker pens to colour the image -
Black
Warm Grey 1 to 5
Surf Blue & Powder blue
Coral, Baby Pink & Blossom
Have a great Sunday... Liz (:(|)x

Happy Easter.
Happy Easter everybody!
So I've gone with an Easter Bunny... although not a traditional image but it is a fab new digi stamp from Dr Digi called Betty the Bunny. And there are lots of co-ordinating images and papers to use with Betty.
I covered the base card with three different patterned papers from Echo Park Celebrate Easter collection. I die cut the green paper with a My favourite things stitched scalloped edge die and I used a forth pattern page to die cut the egg with a MFT oval double stitiched die. I thought the white Pompom ribbon was perfect for the rabbit theme as they remind me of little Bunny Tails!
I cut around the image and used 3d foam to adhere Betty to the base card. Finally I added few stripy enamel dots.
I used these promarkers and flexmarkers to colour the image -
Skin - Unsual
Eggs - Summer Sun, Lime Green, Poppy, Ocean Teal, Bright Orange and Cloud Blue to shade.
Bunny suit - Blue Greys 1,2 & 3 with Baby Pink, Cocktail Pink and Pink Mittens.
Basket - Tan, Caramel, Cinnamon & Raw Sienna.
I hope you haven't made your self feel sick with too many choc eggs or big easter Roast dinners!
Enjoy the rest of the Bank Holiday,
See you soon,
