Happy Hour Horrace from Dr Digi

Happy Hour Horace forced to be Festive.

Hello - A little earlier I posted this card over on the Dr Digi facebook page.
I've combined Happy Hour Horace with the hat from Double Bass Doug and forced him to celebrate christmas. I know a few people like Horrace!!

I covered the base card with patterned paper from Pebbles and mounted the image panel onto black card. I used a saying sticker from Kaisercraft which I thought was ironic!! I also used some glaze on the glass.

I used these promarkers to colour him -
Skin - Usual
Suit -  Warm Greys,
Hat - Poppy, Ruby & Burgundy with Lime Green & Emerald with gold & canary bell.
Glass - Powder blue, linen froth, Raw Sienna & Mustard.

I hope Horace brings you some joy!

Happy Birthday Dad.

Morning - March is both Dads birthdays so I get to think of more ideas for the men. Today I am showing you the card I made for Bens dad's birthday. We have been teasing him that he is becoming a grumpy old man so Happy Hour Horace from Dr Digi was perfect. 

I played with my Prismacolour pencils to make this card after printing the image onto Kraft card base. The only other thing I added was a Happy Birthday clear sticker greeting from Kaisercraft and some large letters from Doodlebug to spell out "Dad". 

I didn't record what colour pencils I used as I was just playing around with them but pretty pleased with the colour coverage - I just need to perfect my blending a bit more I think. I need to do the Kit & Clowder pencil class.

CAS Happy Hour Horace.

Morning - there is a new challenge starting today at I love Promarkers and the theme is Clean and Simple (CAS). The Sponsor is Dr Digi so I've used this image which just demands to be nowhere near frills or glitter called  Happy Hour Horace.  And let me tell you - I know a few men that would "celebrate" so miserably! We all know the type - that are only happy when they have something to moan about!! 

 So I have gone extreme with the CAS and muted colours. I printed the image off and then coloured it in with Promarkers. I cut the base card to the right size to go on a 6X6 card and then drew a frame free hand with a fine liner pen. I stamped the ironic greeting from Paper smooches Bold Buzz words stamps and added the black gems from Hobby craft. I covered the pint glass with glaze to make it shine.

I used these promarkers and flexmarkers to colour Horace -
Skin - Antique White, Blush, Soft Peach, Coral & Spice.
Jacket & Hat -  Pastel Beige, Khaki, & Soft Khaki.
Shirt - Warm Grey 1 & Linen
Tie - Cardinal Red & Burgundy
Drink - Sandstone, Saddle Brown, Walnut and covered with Powder Blue.
Umbrella - Sunflower & Turqouise.
