Fanks Drac

Morning all.
I am feeling fresh after my extra hours sleep and still buzzing from the exciting game of World Cup Rugby yesterday. England are in the final!! I am writing this whilst watching the other semi final of Wales v South Africa.
So my card today is using Drac's Dentures  from Dr Digi. Now we don't really do Halloween but it is becoming such a massive event now and Dr Digi has loads of fab fun images but my point is - they are also really good for other celebrations. So I have used this image to make a Thank You card, but it could be a Get well card or a Older Birthday card.

I've coloured Drac with copics and teamed him with Doodlebug papers and letters to spell out the greeting. The bats are little peel offs and the black gem swirls are from Hobbycraft.

I  hope you like my card for today and have a great weekend (Despite the rain!)
Fingers crossed for an even better weekend next time with the Rugby World Cup final!!!

Cracker image for a Pun

Morning -
Have you seen this new image yet from Dr Digi. Its called Safecracker Sam.
I enjoyed colouring him as I got to practice my Black shading. Using a little trick I had learnt at a copic class of leaving a small lighter edge to show some the depth.

And you know I love a pun so what better than this "Cracker" but I do wonder if Sam got much swag?

The paper is from My favourite things and I mounted the image onto black card. I used green lettters from Doodlebug and some silver and black letters from Hobbycraft.
Have a fab Sunday peeps, See you next week

Thanks Dad

Morning -
So next weekend is Fathers Day here in the UK so I made this card for My Dad (Don't worry he won't see this!) I've used Dunderton Decorators Ltd from Dr DIGI along with some paint splatter stamps I have from My Favourite Things.
The letters are from Doodlebug and the Thanks is stamped from Paper Smooches set. I also used some glaze over the paint and sprinkled in some cosmic shimmer glitter to try and make it look wet. What little top tips do you have to give your card a little bit extra?

I'm posting this card this week as next weekend we kick of a really special celebration at Dr Digi and you will definitely want to check back to find out whats going on!! #Teaser!!!

Thanks for stopping by and see you next week!

Connie Confectionery

Morning -
Feeling a bit more mojo this week!! I think it was the obvious sparkle that Connie's outfit demand that told me it had to be pink! Isn't she brilliant - I would love to do this one day! How much fun would it be to jump out of a massive cake and I reckon I could probably eat a cake this big!! If you want to get this image she is called Connie Confectionery  from Dr Digi

The papers are from Doodlebug and I can't for the life of me remember what make the die cut Happy Birthday is from... I've had it ages. The sparkle is Stickles star dust and I added a mixture of gems and enamel dots in co-ordinating colours.

I hope you like Our Connie and will share what you create with her!

Thanks for stopping by - have a great bank holiday weekend

Get Well Soon

Morning everyone - I'm back today with a card using Dr Digi image called Recuperating Rita

There has been so many bugs and germs going round recently so I figured I'd make this card ready for the next vicitim!! Luckily I have managed to avoid any illness ... so far at least!

I figured she would definitely be a shabby chic Kind of girl who has upcycled her bed and cabinet to go with her lovely floral Laura Ashley-esq wall paper. I'm sure its a very cosy room to recuperate in.
The greeting actually stands out a little better than this picture shows and I used Doodlebug letters to spell it out.

I hope your are all in good health and continue to be so!!

Rita - queen of speed .... downhill!

Hello - I was working yesterday so didn't get chance to post this on here but this is Rita  from Dr Digi. I figure that I will put a greeting on it when I decided who I'm giving it too... I think something like "Downhill is more fun anyway" "Queen of speed... downhill" or "Not over the hill yet but its a steep climb". I like to personalise when I know who the recipient it with names or dates of birth.

I hope you like our Rita - I reckon shes having a blast on her mobility scooter.
Speak soon,

Hole in one Hal

Firstly ... I know ... I should have done a football card (Well Done England!!) but honestly its been a bit crazy busy here with house reno's and work etc so I am showing you the last card I did for the magazine a while back. I've kept it in reserve for this very reason... This is Hole in one Hal and he is such a fun image to colour.
So I have a question for your crafty folk... do you make your cards from start to finish in one go or in stages... I have loads of images coloured as thats the bit I love doing but then I need inspiration for how to make then in to a card. I should do the whole thing as I go along right? So be interested to know what your creative process is... if you have one!

Hole in one Hal was coloured using copics and papers are from My Minds Eye and Doodlebug. The greeting is from Make it Crafty and an embossing folder was used to make the golf ball effect pattern in the background.

I hope you like him and take a look at all the wonderful images at Dr Digi.

Hello -
Im sorry I am late in posting these cards here on my blog as they have been live on the All Dressed Up Challenge blog since the 7th as thats the day when we first showcase the gorgeous new images.

This first new image I got to play with is Lets Fly a Kite
and I teamed her up with a Mft Hugs die and the cloud stitched boarder die. The papers are both from Doodlebug and I coloured her with Copics,

The second image I used was Sight seeing in Paris and I wanted it to look like a polaroid picture in a frame so I used aMFT die and used Doodlebug gold arrows to add corners. I also added some Paris skyline washi tape. I added a Eiffel tower embellishment which I coloured with gold pen and I used a greeting from Pebbles with Happy Birthday in gold.

Pop over to the challenge blog and the facebook page to see the other new images and what the amazing  DT have created with them.

Morning  - I was at my Sister-in-laws Hen party last week and so I coloured this image up, which is called Bachelorette Babs. It just shows Dr Digi has an image for every occasion
I kept the card fairly simple and covered a base card with My Favourite things Black & white basic stripes and two stripes of Washi tape.
I added a few gems and some hearts and lips from some stickers I got on sale at Paperchase.
I used florescent pink copic to colour the image along with grey copics.

Right thats all from me for now... make sure you visit the website to see all the latest image and there are many perfect ones for your Fathers Day cards!
