Happy Fathers day

Happy Fathers Day!
Good Afternoon (Only just missed Morning!) I have been busy this morning packing jars and glasses into boxes from the Kitchen in preparation for losing my kitchen shortly when the extension gets knocked through... dreading it!! But I do still have my craft room (for now at least...) So as its Fathers Day - here is the card I've made for my Dad using Worlds Best Dad from Dr Digi. And he does love his tea - as do I. In fact its been at least 30 mins since my last cuppa so I better go and get the kettle on!

I used a kraft base and covered it with patterend paper from American Crafts Amy Tangerine cut and paste paper pad. I coloured Dad with copics and stuck him down with 3d foam. I then added some scattered around.I hope you like him - he's no too fussy and fairly simple - Perfect for my Dad Ha!!
Have a lovely day,

2 Cool

Hello - Its time for a new challenge at The Paper Shelter and the theme is Winter.
I found it difficult to do WINTER without slipping into Christmas, so I have used an image called Snowboarder Girl and gone with nontraditional colours of Bright Orange and Turquoise.

I have used papers and chipboard from My Minds Eye Colourful Christmas range. I  mounted all the paper panels on co-ordinating panels of satin card and added some gems to the centre of the snowflakes.
I die cut around the image using a large stitched circle die from Lawn Fawn and over the top of this I used some Amy Tangerine Remarks letter stickers to spell out 2 Cool.

I coloured the image with these promarkers & flexmarkers -
Skin - Antique White, Blush, Soft Peach, Coral & Spice
Hair - Pink Mittens, Baby Pink, Cocktail Pink & Carmine.
Jacket - Gold, Orange, Bright Orange.
Trousers - Pastel Green, Oasis, Island Lagoon.
Boots - Powder Blue, Sky Blue, True Blue, Azure & Egyptian Blue.

And don't forget you get a fantasic prize if you are picked at ramdom when you enter your creations into The Paper Shelter Challenge !

Hope to see loads of entries!
Thanks for stopping by,

Beach Boy from Tiddly Inks

Hello - Here is my card using Tiddly inks image called My Beach Boy. I loved colouring this image as it just screams being bright and cheery! I thought the image really didnt need to much extra and just to let it be centre stage!

I cut two panels from patterned paper -  My Favourite things - Just delightful dots & stripes & Amy Tangerine Stitched meadow. I mounted both on black card and then die cut the Beach boy using a My Favourite things wonky stitched rectangle die. The Happy birthday was die cut using a Paper smooches die on blue card and finally I added a couple of co-ordinating buttons.

I used these promarkers and flexmarkers to colour the image-
Skin - Antique white, blush, soft peach, coral & Satin.
Hair -  Cinnamon, Cocoa, Burnt Sienna & Henna.
Vest - Frosted Jade, Island Lagoon & Turquoise. Lemon & Canary
Shorts - Poppy, Ruby & Burgundy.
Bucket & Spade - Sky, True Blue & Royal blue
Crab - Gold, Bright orange & orange
Dog - Warm Grey 3 & 4
Sand - Saffron, Buttercup, Mustard & Sleigh Bells.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges -

I think the very making of this card brought out the sunshine... fingers crossed it stays for a while... and No - it is never too hot for me!!
