Christmas Chris in print.

This is the final card from Making Cards Magazine. I've used Christmas Chris who is one of my favourite Christmas images from Dr Digi. Don't miss your chance to get you discount code from the article.

I used Doodlebug North Pole paper to create the background panel and mounted this with red mirri. I used a Lawn Fawn Puffy Cloud stitched Boarder die on the image panel and mounted this on red mirri also. I used a sentiments panel from Craftwork Cards and attached a felt holly embellishment and some Doodlebug Holly sprinkles.

This card has used the following Promarkers and Flexmarkers –

Skin – Antique White, Blush, Soft Peach, Coral & Spice, with Baby Pink Cheeks.
Antlers & Tummy – Saffron & Tan.
Nose - Poppy, Ruby & Burgundy.
Onesie – Tan, Cinnamon, Cocoa & Henna
Pudding – Aubergine, Walnut & Tan with Lush Green and Leaf green leaves.
Hooves – Warm Greys
Eyes – Powder Blue.

I hope you have enjoyed your Christmas inspiration... think I am well in the stride now with all christmas papers out. It is only 11 weeks away and they are already selling selection packs in the shops!!

Snug but stylish.

Afternoon - The new challenge has started over at The Paper Shelter and I have used an image called Snug but Stylish.

Theme of the challenge is to use more than one of Anything so I have added ... (Wait for it... ) - two flower embellishments from the internet, two felt holly leaves from Hobbycraft, Two layers using gold mirri and two gold leaves cut using a Marianne die. I even use a lamp post with two lights which I filled inside with two colours of stickles - diamond and yellow, as well as two different patterned papers from Papermania.  Think I got the theme covered and if I'm honest as lot of it happened by accident!!

I used these promarkers & flexmarkers to colour the image -
Skin - Antique white, blush, soft peach, coral & Spice with baby pink cheeks.
Hair, skirt & bag -  Cool Greys & Black
Coat & hat - Burgundy, Cardinal red, Ruby & Poppy.
Fur - Linen
Wooden bench - Sandstone, Cinnamon & Cocoa.
Grass - Pine & Lush green.
Edged in Soft aqua

Christmas Chris & his Onesie.

Morning - I'm making an effort to get ahead with my Christmas cards and this one uses Christmas Chris from Dr Digi.

I've gone pretty traditional with the colours of red & green. The paper reminded me of Christmas jumpers and given Chris' fabulous Reindeer onesie - I thought I'd go with the Christmas clothing theme. So come on be honest... who has a Christmas Onesie or jumper?? I will admit I have a Bunny rabbit onesie!! We have a tradition of going to the pub Christmas eve and then coming home to eat cheese & wine wearing our onesies...I can just picture Chris sat with us eating his Pudding! Or even better I could get my other half a Reindeer Onesie to wear ... (Ha think he may kill me!!)

This card was really simple to make. I coloured the image but added a little extra detail using glaze on the pudding and his nose. I also used some frosted lace stickles on his antlers to give them a bit of texture and a silver pen to colour the spoon so it shines. I die cut the frame using a Spellbinders nestibilities from the Websters pages paper collection called Cuddle Up and laid this over the image using 3d foam.
The greeting is made up of stickers from Doodlebug and I added a 3 co-ordinating green homemade enamel dots. Finally I added the felt Holly leaves which I bought from Hobbycraft.

I used these promarkers and flexmarkers -
Skin - Antique white, Blush, Soft peach, coral & spice. Powder blue eyes.
Nose - Poppy, Ruby & Cardinal red.
Onesie - Cinnamon, Cocoa, Burnt sienna & Henna
Belly & antlers - Light Fawn, Tan & Saffron
Touch of Cocktail pink on ears & cheeks
Hooves - Warm Grey 4, 3 & 1
Pudding - Cinnamon, Walnut, Aubergine & Burgundy.
Holly - Forest & Lush Green.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges -

Hope you like Chris and don't mind me posting Christmas cards... its not far off now though you know!!
See you in the week,
