Bertha's Bloomin Box

Morning - I don't know about where you live but in my neck of the woods this weekend it has been lovely weather and definitely feels like Spring is in the air - although I'm sure I saw a weather report that said more frost and cold was to come at the end of Feb. Luckily it was nice yesterday as we decided to tile our new porch floor and I was outside most of the day cutting tiles. Us crafters are very versatile in our skill sets!!

So Dr Digi was also feeling the spring awakening and I got to play with this brand new image called Bertha's Bloomin Box.  I made it into a Mothers day card as my Mum has green fingers so this image will be perfect for her!

And I went full on bright and colourful using paper from Basic Grey and a twisted easel card base. These are really easy but effective - simply create a hill fold diagonally across the front of the card and then add a little ridge on the base card to hold it up and not slip forward. And it still folds flat and fits in a normal square envelope.

I used a greeting stamp from My Favourite things and some 3d flowers that I've had so long I can't remember where they were from!! The image was coloured with Copics.

Right - I have grouting to do!! My life is so wild!!!
Have a lovely Sunday peeps,

Tv Dinner Dennis

Morning - Here is todays card created for Dr Digi using TV Dinner Dennis.
That big pile of Bangers and Mash just made me think of Cowboys so I've teamed Dennis up with a Western film strip which also holds the Twisted easel card in place. These cards are so easy to do but really effective.

I printed the image out four time - Three on the patterned papers for the chair, trousers and slippers and once onto white. On the white layer I used promarkers to colour the rest of the image and then layered the him on to the chair pattern. The next layer of the trousers I glued onto the coloured image and finally added the slippers.
I used some wood effect paper across the bottom and some white star embossed paper as his floor and wallpaper. I cut a panel from the comic strip and mounted this onto black card which I then used 3d foam to raise in order to hold the front upright.

I used these promarkers and flexmarkers to colour the image -
Skin - Unusal
Hair, Tray & Sausages - Tan, Cinnamon, Cocoa & Henna,
Top - Poppy, Ruby & Burgundy
Napkin - True Blue & Royal Blue
Mash - Light Fawn & Saffron
Peas - Leaf Green & Lush Green
Warm Grey 1, 2 & 3 to shade the image along with Powder blue on the plate and his eyes.

Right I will be at work whilst you read this today - so hope you all make the most of your Sundays off! Im not at all bitter!! But I will get a lie in on Monday so it's all ok!
