Tv Dinner Dennis

Morning - Here is todays card created for Dr Digi using TV Dinner Dennis.
That big pile of Bangers and Mash just made me think of Cowboys so I've teamed Dennis up with a Western film strip which also holds the Twisted easel card in place. These cards are so easy to do but really effective.

I printed the image out four time - Three on the patterned papers for the chair, trousers and slippers and once onto white. On the white layer I used promarkers to colour the rest of the image and then layered the him on to the chair pattern. The next layer of the trousers I glued onto the coloured image and finally added the slippers.
I used some wood effect paper across the bottom and some white star embossed paper as his floor and wallpaper. I cut a panel from the comic strip and mounted this onto black card which I then used 3d foam to raise in order to hold the front upright.

I used these promarkers and flexmarkers to colour the image -
Skin - Unusal
Hair, Tray & Sausages - Tan, Cinnamon, Cocoa & Henna,
Top - Poppy, Ruby & Burgundy
Napkin - True Blue & Royal Blue
Mash - Light Fawn & Saffron
Peas - Leaf Green & Lush Green
Warm Grey 1, 2 & 3 to shade the image along with Powder blue on the plate and his eyes.

Right I will be at work whilst you read this today - so hope you all make the most of your Sundays off! Im not at all bitter!! But I will get a lie in on Monday so it's all ok!

Christmas Decorations.

Morning - there is a new challenge starting today at The Paper Shelter which will run over the christmas holidays. I have used an image called  Christmas Decorations but it is an Anything Goes Challenge.

I have used paper and a greeting from October Afternoon called Holiday style as the retro images seemed to match the image. I die cut the image and the gold mat using a spellbinders nestibilities die which also has a retro feel. I used some pine twine from Tim Holtz and attached to it a large wooden bauble that I have embellished myself using gems and a gold pen to add details. Finally I added the little blue bow.

I used these promarkers and flexmarkers to colour the image -
Skin- Antique white, blush, soft peach, coral & spice.
Top - Pink Mittens, Baby Pink, Cocktail pink & Carmine.
Hair - Buttercup, Mustard, Sleigh Bells & Raw Sienna.
Skirt - Red, Poppy, Ruby, Cardinal Red & Burgundy.
Tree - Holly, Forest Green, Pine & Pear Green.
Demin Blue.

I'd love to see loads of enter in the challenge and hope you get some time to craft during the holidays.
Have a lovely few days and I'll be back on Christmas day with some more inspiration.
Happy Christmas,

Retro Selfie

Hi All - bit late with this post as it has already gone live on the I LOVE PROMARKERS blog, but thats what happens when you work shifts I suppose -you have to be a bit flexible!

I made this card for my latest DT post - the new challenge is Paper Piecing and it is sponsored by  Kenny K.. The image Ive used is called Retro Selfie
You can find her by clicking on the link. I think she is a great image as Vintage is very "in" right now and so is the Selfie - so to combine the two is a bit of genius!!

To make this card I printed and coloured the image with Promarkers (Listed below...) The paper I have used is all from my stash of October Afternoon - the flowers and the demin effect. I looked at a few designs using this and they were coloured like a dress with a belt but I never saw that -I always saw a separate top and shorts / skirt... What do you think?
I printed the image out the same size on to the demin effect paper and cut out the bits that I then pieced on to this image.
The film strip is a die from Tim Holtz which I cut from a really think matt black card which is lovely (Had to go through cutter a few times to cut right through...)
The ribbon is as always from my stash... I don't keep the reel so I never know where its from - I just have them all in colour co-ordinated jars! I also tie'd a small camera charm with thin black ribbon.
The greeting and Numbers are die cuts from the Memory Box and the yellow gems are from Hobbycraft.

The Promarkers & Flexmarkers used are -
Skin - Antique White, Blush, Soft Peach, Coral, Spice.Cocktail pink & Antique pink on her cheeks
Eyes - Capri & Powder Bue, & Lips are lipstick red.
Hair & Shoes - Raw Sienna, Sleigh Bells, Pineapple Crush, Summer Sun & Eggnog.
Stool - Lipstick red & Poppy
Camera - Henna, Cocoa, Cinnamon, Sleigh bells & Pineapple Crush.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges -
Sister Act - ATG
CCEE Stampers - Paper Piecing.
Clear it out - Use your stash

Why not make a card and enter the challenge at I Love Promarkers...Be great to see you and there are Prizes to win each week!

The final Christmas Catch up!

The final catch up...then I'm ready to start a fresh... So lets get straight on!

These two cards are made from Digital images from Pink Petticoat. I kept them clean and simple with a simply die cut image layered on some glittered Velum. I added some gems and ribbon and kept it at that! I think they look really effective.

I wanted to focus on the singing and music elements of this Tiddly Inks image which I made for Nan - who loves her Bingo and almost every card I make her I try to get the bingo reference in!

This card uses Lawn Fawn stamped image and Paper smooches greeting. The paper is from Doodlebug. I used a Spellbinders snowflake with Glittery cardstock and some glitter gems.

I've had the October Afternoon background paper since last Christmas and wanted to make full use of the lovely images - so kept this pretty simple. The greeting just seemed to match this stamped image from The Greeting Farm that I coloured with Promarkers. I added some ribbon and gems as they are obligatory!!!

I love this Stamping Bella image in Traditional Christmas red and Green. I used the Doodlebug Holly Sprinkles and paper with a lovely grey ribbon. These Images really don't need loads to make them look ace.

I love this card... think its one of my favourites. Its a stamped image from Stamping Bella which I added a little colour to. I used my Brown Wink Of Stella pen to colour the wooden greeting as it was to pale. The Papers and stickers are from Websters Page which I think was my favourite collection from this Christmas. I added some pearly swirls and a big piece of bling (Which needed lots of Silicon to attach it!) It's not a traditional Christmas card but think it's really magical.

SOG Birthday challenges.

Hello, Found some time this week to create these new cards. I have entered the first three into the 3rd Birthday celebration challenge.

This one was entered into the FAIRY challenge. I've used MME papers with loads of flowers and die cut thin leaves. There is a couple of resin flowers and a a button in there also. I then added the obligatory gem swirls and a resin owl! To break up the white I used my promarker to make some dots as a background. I'm really pleased with how she turned out.

This was for the Shopping list challenge. I picked three things from the list which was Ribbon, Bling and 2 x patterned papers. I used some lovely new Crate paper papers with more gem bling, a button and twine.

This card I found the hardest - the challenge was grey with a pop of colour. So I decided to use Blue but I just wanted to add more and more of it! I enjoyed colouring in monochrome and think it looks quite effective. The paper is Authentique and I used warm greys from promarkers to colour Tropical Mae. The greeting says, "wishing you a beautiful day." and is from October Afternoon.

This card I made as I was on a roll with the layout. I can't remember what paper this is - had it for a while but its lovely - ooo remembered its actually K&co. I added some pale blue seem biding ribbon, a paper doily, gems and some paper flowers. I left the tag blank so I can add a custom greeting.

Don't forget if you see a card you love - they are all available to purchase or can be custom made for whatever special occasion you want... I love a challenge! Speak soon, (:(|)x
