Happy Hogmanay

Happy New Years Eve... or Hogmanay if you are in Scotland. I'm not... we are actually at friends in Wales so we are Celtic at least. But I have always fancied a New Years celebration at a big Scottish Castle on a Loch!
So here is Hamish McDougal to wish you all a Happy New Year and I hope 2018 is a fantastic time for you all!

I used promarkers to colour the image and I used My Favourite Things wonky stitched die cut frame. I use papers from Echo Park and stamped the greeting across the bottom.

So this is me - waving goodbye to 2017 and welcoming in 2018... lets hope it holds lots of happy times for all!

Merry Christmas

So... it's Christmas Eve!! I think we are just about sorted! Its crazy so much time and preparation goes into one day!! I never feel ready no matter how early I start and I still have a  few friends that will be getting New Years cards instead of Christmas cards!!!

This card was made using Simple Santa  from Dr Digi and coloured with Promarkers. I die cut the frame using a My Favourite things scalloped die. All the papers are from Doodlebug as are the letters spelling out Mum and Dad. I used red mirri card to die cut the Merry Christmas. I also used some stickles on the fluffy trim on his clothing.

Right I have the last few little finishing touches to do... I have to go make fudge and a Nutella christmas tree!

Have a Merry Christmas and I will be back in 2018 if not before if Father Christmas brings me some crafty goodies to play with!!

Thanks for all your support and lovely comments through the year,

Yappy Christmas at All Dressed Up

Hello
The second part of the new release from All dressed up has gone live and for this one I have been able to play with Christmas Pooch. I took the knitted jumper theme and used papers from Lawn Fawn and a knitted embossing folder to make the base card. The image was die cut using a My Favourite things die and mounted this onto red knitted paper. I used a martha stewart punch for the edge and the greeting is a stamp from My Favourite Things also. finally i added some Green stickles to the scarf.

I used promarkers to colour the pooch and tried to make him love textured using all the warm greys.

All from me for now -  be back soon with more christmas creations xx

Happy Christmas you Filthy Animal!

Ok so I am cheating a little as I am kind of using last weeks idea and doing it again but this time I used Double Bass Dougs christmas hat on Cuddly Critters Pig.
I just couldn't get this saying out of my head! Its a christmas classic of a film to quote though. I did toy with the idea of putting the hat on the grumpy gorilla but figured a festive pig  was more in keeping with Christmas (I love crackling and pork pies and pigs in blankets etc...)

So the last minute dash is on to get all my christmas cards made and as usual it all my family cards that get left till last!!

The papers are all from Pebbles Holly Jolly papers and I used Lawn Fawn Harolds Abc stanps to do the greeting. The Merry Christmas is a die cut from green mirri. The Image panel and the mount are die cut from My favourite things double stitched oval dies.

I used promarkers to colour the image -
Baby Pink and Blossom with Warm grey 3 for shading.
Hat - Poppy, ruby & Burgundy with Leaf green and emerald.
Eyes - Powder blue and cloud blue
Bell - Gold and Canary.

Hope you like him and you still have time to get more cards made... keep going?!!
