Barmaid Bev and blustrery Autumn days.

Morning - sorry I am a bit later today - only finished the card last night and wanted to wait till daylight to photograph... then as there were no workmen at the house - took full advantage of not having to set an alarm and had a lie in!! We even had a pot of tea lounging in bed!! Lovely! And we are off to my sisters this afternoon for a Roast dinner. She lives in the middle of the countryside so it will be lovely on a bluster autumnal day with the big open fire. (I will make sure I am not driving so I can have a few glass of Red wine !) But first there is painting and cleaning to do so its not a completely restful day but at least I will deserve all the food and drink!
Now I reckon Our Bev the Barmaid has served a few red wines and pints... isnt't she fab! Obviously she had to have animal print clothing and big bright hair!

Hope you all have a lovely Sunday, whatever you are up to -
Cheers!

Hole in one Hal

Firstly ... I know ... I should have done a football card (Well Done England!!) but honestly its been a bit crazy busy here with house reno's and work etc so I am showing you the last card I did for the magazine a while back. I've kept it in reserve for this very reason... This is Hole in one Hal and he is such a fun image to colour.
So I have a question for your crafty folk... do you make your cards from start to finish in one go or in stages... I have loads of images coloured as thats the bit I love doing but then I need inspiration for how to make then in to a card. I should do the whole thing as I go along right? So be interested to know what your creative process is... if you have one!

Hole in one Hal was coloured using copics and papers are from My Minds Eye and Doodlebug. The greeting is from Make it Crafty and an embossing folder was used to make the golf ball effect pattern in the background.

I hope you like him and take a look at all the wonderful images at Dr Digi.

Boys Christmas Stocking.

I absolutly love new release time at All Dressed Up. I am so lucky to get these images to play with but not only that ... Wendy lets us make requests for images!! This month I was asked by  a friend to make Christmas Cards for her Son and Daughter. I really want to similar images so I could make the cards co-ordinate but I just couldn't find any such matching images... so I cheekily asked Wendy to draw them! I even got to send her photos of the children and they are just perfect little mini me's of them!! I am sure they will be really popular with lots of you out there too.

This one is called Boys Christmas Stocking.

I covered the base card with paper from Pink Fresh December days collection and then used a scalloped edge die to cut a strip of red paper from American Crafts. I die cut a blue oval from Doodlebug paper and layered all these together with some ribbon. I cut around the image and used 3d foam to attach him to the base card. I used promarkers to colour the bottom layer of the Make It Crafty chipboard and glued them together. I added the letters to spell out Ronan from Websters Pages and I also stamped the top tag using Lawn Fawn Harolds ABC letters. Finally I used some star dust stickles on the fluff of his Santa Hat.

I coloured the image with Promarkers and flexmarkers -
Skin - Antique White, Blush, Soft peach, Coral & Spice with Baby Pink cheeks.
Hat & Top - Poppy, Ruby & Burgundy
Jeans - True Blue & Royal Blue
Shoes - Indigo Blue
Powder blue to shade white areas and Emerald Green details.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges -

You Will have to wait for me to show you the Girl version  as I will be playing with that one next! But you can see all the new release images and the DT inspiration over at the All Dressed Up BLOG.

Christmas Chris is eating again!

Do you have those Go-to images when mojo has taken a little break and you just dont't know what do ? Well this is one of mine... I have so many ideas of things to do with  Christmas Chris that I can always rely on some creativity. My crafting goes through phases as well and right now I am definitely favouring a clean and simple layout.
Well its raining here so I think I will be printing out a few more of the Go-to Dr Digi images to play with.

The paper is from Doodlebug Santa Express and I die cut the panel using My Favourite things scalloped edge die - in fact these are all my regular and fav products! I attached the white panel with 3d foam and tied some twine around it which I knotted with a little bow and glued a little chipboard star from Make it Crafty. The greeting is from Kaisercraft Clear stickers collection.

I used these promarkers and flexmarkers to colour Christmas Chris -
Skin - Usual with cocktail pink cheeks and ears.
Onesie - Tan, Cinnamon, Cocoa & Henna.
Belly & Antlers - Light Fawn and Saffron
Nose - Poppy, Ruby & Burgundy

All for now - I'm off to stare at all my papers and images and hope more inspiration presents itself!!

Tiddly Inks - Sloth Hugs

Here is my third and final entry into the Tiddly Inks 2:3 Challenge  and I had so much fun colouring this image. I have been wanting a long fur to colour for a while after seeing a tutorial by Annabel at Cartway Cards where she showed how to achieve this effect with Prismacolor pencils. And I have to say I am chuffed with how well he has turned out! The image is from Tiddly Inks called Sloth's life.

I used a Kraft card base and added a panel of Fauna paper from Doodlebug. I die cut the image panel with a My Favourite things scalloped stitched edge and tied some twine around the edge before using 3d foam to adhere it with some extra dimension. I coloured some little chipboard heart and the double Hugs word with promarkers. I also used some Spectrum Noir clear sparkle pen on the word to give it some extra shimmer.

Hello - Sorry Im a bit late posting this today... but there is a new challenge going live at The Paper Shelter today and the theme is Music and Dance. I have been waiting for a chance to colour up this fab image which is called Tango!

The background paper is from My Favourite things and the pad is Black & white basics. I used some red mirri card to cut some music notes from MFT note dies and also used black and gold mirri to die cut the skyline.
I added a chipboard greeting from Make it Crafty which I coloured with Ruby and Black promarkers and then covered with Spectrum noir clear sparkle pen for a bit of shimmer. Finally the whole image panel was mounted onto a gold mirri mat.
I coloured her with Prismacolor pencils and kept it very monotone - just adding a little glow from the light and a dot of Stickles on the light bulb.

Im pleased with how she turned out as I really wanted to get the sense of night time and being a bit sultry!!
Be great to see all your entries into the challenge and just look at the amazing prize!

Happy Summer

Afternoon - the new challenge has literally just gone live over at the All Dressed Up Challenge Blog. I know as I have posted it!! And this challenge is ace as it is always an Anything Goes theme as long as you use an All Dressed Up image and there are sooo many beautiful ones to choose from!
For my DT card this month I have used 3 Little Summer Girls which you can get in the Etsy shop here -} All Dressed Up
Now when I decided I was going to use these girls - it WAS sunny! We had lovely weather but sadly it hasn't hung around and I think it has rained all day today!! This image demanded a warm summery colour scheme.

I used a little strip of paper from Carta Bella Beach Day which I used a My Favourite Things Scalloped edge die on for a bit of added detail. I cut a strip of ribbon from my stash and glued this to the card base. I coloured and fussy cut around the Girls and used 3d foam to add them to the card. I used a Make It Crafty wooden die cut word and coloured the base layer in yellows and the top layer with the pinks. I added a few co-ordinated Doodlebug enamel dots around the image and some white gel pen dots on the swimming costume to keep the spot and dot theme going.

I used these promarkers and flexmarkers to colour the girls -

I tied some red twine around the top and tied a bow which I then added a little heart too which is from Make it Crafty. Finally I used Harold ABC stamps from Lawn Fawn to spell out the "Thanks Mum".

Teamwork.

Morning -
Today is the start of a new challenge at The Paper Shelter and the theme is Animal Magic. I have used this fab image called Teamwork.

I printed my image and coloured it in with Promarkers before I die cut the edge with a My Favourite Things scalloped stitched edge die. To the side of this I cut a piece of striped grey paper from My Minds eye Necessity pad. I mounted it all onto Green satin card - you can't tell from this pic but it is even all the way around (My issue with balance would not allow it to be otherwise!!) But because I have raised the coloured image panel up using 3d foam - it is hidden a little! I tied neutral  twine around the entire panel before I glued it down. I then added some Heart from Wycinanka which I coloured using Promakers. I also did this on the "Believe" which is from Make it Crafty. I have to say I am a little bit obsessed with these double layered words!! Finally I added a little flag of green ribbon and a little Wooden embellishment from My Minds Eye.

I used these promarkers and flexmarkers to colour the image -
Tree - Sandstone, Cinnamon, Cocoa, Walnut & Henna.
Grass - Leaf Green, Grass,  Emerald, Lush Green & Forest.
Pandas - Black & Blue Greys with Cocktail Pink ears & feet.
Bamboo - Linen & Forest Green.
Hearts - Red & Carmine.
Believe - Leaf Green, Grass & Emerald with Blue Grey 5 as base layer.
Finally I edged the entire image with Powder Blue which I then blended in to give a soft finish.

http://thepapershelter.blogspot.co.uk/

I would love to see all your makes with Animals included entered into the challenge.... Just look at the value of what you could win! Thats a fantastic prize and there are so many great images to choose from!!
