The Paper Shelter - Autumn Beauty

Sorry Im a little late posting this card for The Paper Shelter, (Afternoon shifts always ruin my plans!!) The new challenge theme is Autumn colours - not nec a Autumn image though I have used this one called  Autumn Beauty.

I used prismacolours to colour the image and printed some digital papers from Whimsy stamps onto a textured gloss paper. I used a pebbles rub on and mounted the image onto co-ordinations core colour card which i sanded back slightly so the purple just begins to show through.

I used a small acorn charm and three different colour ribbons to finish the card.

Hope you like her and all join in with the challenge.

September All Dressed Up releases - Autumn Hedgehog

Hello - Exciting times at All Dressed Up as we will soon be introducing our new Design team. There was a lot of talent that entered and we had a hard job of picking the team.
Today we have the second installment of the new releases from ALL DRESSED UP. I have been greedy and done two images - My first one is using Autumn Hedgehog.

I die cut the scalloped shape using a Nestibilities die and on the shape removed I cut the image of the Hedgehog. I mounted some patterened paper from Carta Bella - A Perfect Autumn collection on to swiss dot bazzill card in purple. I used Marianne design leaves die and glued three of these to the front along with a die cut tree from Memory box. Finally I added some detail with a gold pen.

I used these promarkers and flexmarkers to colour the image -
Grey Squirrel, Morning Mist & Tawny Owl.
Maroon, Sleigh Bells, Burnt orange, Pear green, Moss, Olive Green, Firebrick & Burgundy

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges -

Lets Make a Memory Today

There is a new challenge over at I love Promarkers and it is to use something new. I'm sure you all got new crafty things for Christmas and can't wait to show off what you have made with them.
I got some Prisma colour pencils which I need to practice with to understand how to use them properly but I also got a stash of new 6x6 paper pads - which were bought from TK Maxx of all places.

The I love Promarkers challenge is changing a little as each challenge will now run for two weeks but with new inspiration from the Design team each week. This new challenge is sponsored by The Paper Shelter and I have used this image called Seeking Inspiration
I used my new paper with the frame background as inspiration as it reminded me of an art gallery wall.  This was from an American Crafts Dear Lizzie pad called Polka Dot Party. I cut the sentiment panel from another new pap from Pebbles called Happy Days. I used eyelets and a brad to make this look like a hanging picture with twine that I actually cut from a clothes label!! (Recycle & reuse!!)

I raided my scraps box and found the perfect red heart paper and also the Happy Birthday in blue satin card which I had cut previously using my Silhouette. Finally I added the enamel dots from Doodlebug in co-ordinating colours.

I used these promarkers & flexmarkers-
Skin - Antique white, blush, soft peach & coral. Baby pink cheeks,
Hair - Walnut, Burnt Umber, Terracotta & Cinnamon.
Wood - Raw Sienna & Saddle brown
Paints - Purple, True blue, Ocean teal & Lime Green
Beret & trousers - Cool greys 1, 3, 4 & 5
Powder blue shading.
I also used a silver pen on the brushes and a little poppy on the necklace and lips.

I would like to enter this card into these challenges -
Deep Ocean Challenge - ATG
Lemon Shortbread - ATG
TTCRD - ATG
Craft your passion - ATG
Get Creative - Something New.
Whoopsi Daisy - Something New

Well everything is back to normal now and routine is back...

Autumn Leaves

Morning - This post is my latest creation for the DT at I love Promarkers. The theme this week is
Autumn and I have used this image from Tiddly Inks called Wryn's Leaves.

I love the Autumn colours - although not quite my usual bright schemes - they are still so colourful. I have used 3 different sheets of paper and they are all from Simple Stories collection, ironically called I Heart Summer - they are very warm shades but still perfect for Autumn.
I die cut 3 leaves from some different colour paper scraps and I used a little hole punch to tie them together with twine, which I then tied in a bow on the button (As always from my stash of buttons & ribbon). The greeting is from Jillibean Soup and was a perfect colour match. I also added a few enamel dots from My Minds Eye Jubilee collection. I hand cut the wave and used a corner rounder (is that a word??) on the image panel and based Kraft card.

I used these promarkers and Flexmarkers to colour Wryn -
Skin - Antique white, Blush, Soft Peach, Coral & Spice.
Hair - Chestnut & Raw Sienna.
Leaves - Grass & Forest, Summer Sun & Sleigh Bells, Honeycomb & Spice, Lime Zest & Lime Green, Pesto & Olive, Maroon & Burgundy.
Pile of leaves - Mixture of the above colours as well as Soft Khaki.
Background - Khaki, Icicle & Ivory.
Dog - Warm Greys.
