Enchanted Ocean shaker card

Hello -  Today is the start of a new challenge at The Paper Shelter and the theme is Going Digital. I have used this fab image called Enchanted Ocean
I have used the digital coloured image and also the background paper. I have added my own die cut seaweed and fishes using dies from Marianne Collectable . I decided this was a perfect image to make into a shaker card and added clear thread to both the Mermaid and diver so the appear to float around in the card. I added Doodlebug sequins and glitter but learning from past mistakes I didn't add to much! The front panel was created used acetate and around the frame I tied a co-ordinating blue ribbon. Finally I added the Best Fishes using Doodlebug letters.

I think I have always avoided digital images to some extent... But this challenge has really made me think twice about using them. You can still get really creative with what you do with them! We would love to see your creations and look as the fabulous prize...

We have Undeniable Chemistry

Morning -  Today I am showing you the card I have made using Prof Dummkopf and I have combined this with papers from Taylored Expressions - Formula For Love paper collection and My Favourite things "Undeniable Chemistry" Diea and stamps.

I used the dies to create a shaker topper with the Chemistry bottles and filled them with Doodlebug chunky glitter (I learnt my lesson from my last shaker card and didn't overfill them but maybe I should have placed a little more in them!! Need to find that happy medium!!

I used MFT scalloped edge dies to cut a  stripe of red mirri just to separate the two different patterned papers and also MFT dies to make the connection tubes. I used the stamp saying "We have awesome chemistry"as a greeting inside the card.

I used these promarkers and flexmarkers to colour the Prof. -
Skin - Usual
Jacket shaded with Blue Grey 1 & 2
Hair, Clipboard, Pants & shoes - Cool Greys
Jumper - Poppy, Ruby & Burgundy.
Tie - Black & Magenta
Shirt -  Baby Pink & Cerise.

All from me for now -
Have a great day,

Go for it Duck.

Happy Easter Sunday. The card I've made for today is using Scaredy Duck. I thought I would try and combine the current Animal challenge with something kind of Eastery (Is that a word??) So I went for a kind of chick! I got a little carried away with all the sequins & Glitter in the shaker card but I think he deserves a little excess for his bravery.

I made the shaker section using my new Lawn Fawn Large stitched circles dies which I love!  I cut the frame from Doodlebug paper and the background from Echo Park Splash collections. I used Doodlebug glitter and sequins to fill the disc which I sealed with 3d foam around the acetate frame.
I covered a round card base with another Echo park pattern from the collection and glued the shaker card on top. Once I had coloured Scardey Duck in using my promarkers I cut closely around him and stuck him to the top with 3D foam. I added glaze to his beak and feet along with the rubber ring which I also scattered a little cosmic shimmer glitter on to try and make it appear wet.
Finally I used black glitter letter from Hobbycraft to spell out the greeting.

I used these Promarkers and Flexmarkers to colour the image -
Duck - Soft Lime, Lemon, Yellow & a touch of Gold.
Beak & Feet - Gold & Bright Orange.
Rubber ring - Powder Blue & Sky Blue, Pastel Green & Ocean Teal.

If you click on the picture above you can see the latest challenge at Dr Digi which is Animals and win yourself some free digis! And there are so many cool ones to choose from...  So don't forget to get your entries in.

All for now - Hope you've not eaten too many Easter eggs and are having a lovely Bank Holiday weekend.
