Wryn Spring Bling dots.

Evening all
I've been playing with Tiddly Inks image called Wryn Spring Bling to join the Tiddly Inks polka dots challenge  so I went all out spotty....

I went with the purple and yellow colour scheme and the little bit of minty green and stuck with the dotty theme with the circle dies. To finish I added a few little purple pearls.

Hope you like her

Rita - queen of speed .... downhill!

Hello - I was working yesterday so didn't get chance to post this on here but this is Rita  from Dr Digi. I figure that I will put a greeting on it when I decided who I'm giving it too... I think something like "Downhill is more fun anyway" "Queen of speed... downhill" or "Not over the hill yet but its a steep climb". I like to personalise when I know who the recipient it with names or dates of birth.

I hope you like our Rita - I reckon shes having a blast on her mobility scooter.
Speak soon,

When Pigs Fly.

Hello- The DT are back from a little summer break over at The Paper shelter -  New challenge starts today over on the blog #305and the theme is Punches and dies

I've used this funny image called When Pigs fly

I cut a square card into a round card base and die cut the tree boarder using a Lawn Fawn die on some glazed bazzill. I glued some cloud patterened paper from Echo Park Summer days collection and then cut them all to shape to match the round base.
I used punches to make the cloud from swiss dot bazzil and glued these so they overhang the edge of the card. I coloured the pig and bird with promarkers and then used an acetate strip to attach the pig to appear to fly and move around. I covered his wings with Spectrum Noir sparkle pen in clear.

I used these promarkers and flexmarkers to colour the images -
Pig - Pastel Pink & Antique pink with Warm grey hooves and shading on his wings.
Bird - Warm Grey 1,2,3 & 5 with a Gold beak.

It was quite a quick and simple on to make so give it a try.
And dont forget you can win this great prize -}

Christmas Chris All round.

Afternoon - Sorry i'm late today. I have no excused - I just wasn't organised so this card has literally just been finished in the Monkey Hut.
I've gone with a very rotund theme... Round card base, spotty paper, round die cut and a "portly" image from Dr Digi called Christmas Chris

I've left a space above the ribbon as I plan to customise this card for someone nearer to Christmas. I can add there name then along the curve with gold letters.
The fab gold spotty paper is from The Gilded collection from Die Cuts with A View and I mounted this onto  round base card. I die cut a circle using Lawn Fawn stitched dies from an embossed card piece from Spellbinders. The ribbon was from my ever growing stash! and the wooden embellishment was from kaisercraft. I used Christmas Holly stickles on the leaves and added 3 red gems.

I used these promarkers and flexmarkers for Christmas Chris -
Skin - Usual with Cocktail pink cheeks and ears.
Hooves - Warm Grey 5,4, 3 &1
Holly - Lush & Forest Green
Berries & nose - Poppy, Ruby & Cardinal red
Antlers & Belly- Light Fawn, Tan & Saffron

Have a Blast.

Hello! I'm all ready with my post this morning - in fact I am writing this on Saturday night whilst eating chocolate and drinking red wine! As tomorrow when this goes live I will be in work (boo!!)

So here is my DT card for Dr Digi using Retro rocket. I'm not sure this photo shows it very well but the rocket is attached to a stripe of acetate so it appears to be flying. I love these quirky extra bits and bobs as they can be used for some many different ways. I've used the rocket with a stamp from Waltzing Mouse Stamps Half Pint Heroes collection for the greeting.

The paper is from Bo Bunny Blast Off collection and I covered the round card base with  paper from Bo Bunny Blast off collection. I die cut the yellow moon paper using Lawn Fawn stitched hillside boarder and embossed it using a cuttlebug folder. I used silver pen and also some white pen to add some shine.

I used these promarkers to colour the rocket -
Ice grey 1 to 5.
Red, Poppy & Ruby.
Powder Blue.
Canary, Gold, Orange & Bright orange.

Why don't you have mooch around all the Bits and Bobs for sale on the website - see what inspiration you get and funky ways to use things!

See you soon,

The Most Adorable Jellyfishes.

Hello - Here is my newest DT card for the current challenge at The Paper Shelter using this fab image called The Most Adorable Jellyfishes.
The theme is Punches and Dies so I went to town building my little underwater scene for my Jellies.

The paper is from a collection called Mermaid tails from Kaisercraft and it is actually more blue than my picture which seems to make it look quite grey! The dies and punches are from a selection of Sizzix, Marianne Designs, Friskars but my favourite is the Anchor dies from Lawn Fawn which I cut from Silver Mirri card and tied with some twine. All the coral and seaweed was cut from Doodlebut glitter card.

I decided to use a round card base so it matched the bubbles. I coloured the image and then handcut around it. I cut a strip of acetate and attached one end to the Jellyfish so they appear to be floating. Finally I added a little Diamond stickles to the jellyfish and a few dots on the base card to sparkle like water.
It was a really lovely image to colour and I used these promarkers and flexmarkers -
Bubbles - Powder blue, Sky blue & touch of lilac.
Big Jelly - Soft Lime, Lime Zest, Lime Twist, Lime Green & Pear green.
Little Jelly - Pink Mittens, Baby Pink & Cerise. Touch of Lilac.

Morning -
Today's card for the Doctor Digi DT is using Iron Dan. I wanted to do a night scene with this image so I used a black card base which I cut into a round shape.

The starry paper is from Pink Paisley - I die cut a circle of this using the Lawn Fawn stitched die and then layered two skyscapes from My Favourite Things from black and glittery orange card from Doodlebug. I added the letters which were from Hobbycraft to create the Marvelous pun (Get it?? Iron Man is a Marvel character... Too geeky??!)
The greeting is from a collection of stickers from My Minds Eye Necessities and finally I added some white resis stars from Doodlebug sprinkles collection.

I used these promarkers and flexmarkers to colour Iron Dan -
Skin - Antique white, Blush, Soft Peach, Coral, Spice & Baby pink.

Go for it Duck.

Happy Easter Sunday. The card I've made for today is using Scaredy Duck. I thought I would try and combine the current Animal challenge with something kind of Eastery (Is that a word??) So I went for a kind of chick! I got a little carried away with all the sequins & Glitter in the shaker card but I think he deserves a little excess for his bravery.

I made the shaker section using my new Lawn Fawn Large stitched circles dies which I love!  I cut the frame from Doodlebug paper and the background from Echo Park Splash collections. I used Doodlebug glitter and sequins to fill the disc which I sealed with 3d foam around the acetate frame.
I covered a round card base with another Echo park pattern from the collection and glued the shaker card on top. Once I had coloured Scardey Duck in using my promarkers I cut closely around him and stuck him to the top with 3D foam. I added glaze to his beak and feet along with the rubber ring which I also scattered a little cosmic shimmer glitter on to try and make it appear wet.
Finally I used black glitter letter from Hobbycraft to spell out the greeting.

I used these Promarkers and Flexmarkers to colour the image -
Duck - Soft Lime, Lemon, Yellow & a touch of Gold.
Beak & Feet - Gold & Bright Orange.
Rubber ring - Powder Blue & Sky Blue, Pastel Green & Ocean Teal.

If you click on the picture above you can see the latest challenge at Dr Digi which is Animals and win yourself some free digis! And there are so many cool ones to choose from...  So don't forget to get your entries in.

All for now - Hope you've not eaten too many Easter eggs and are having a lovely Bank Holiday weekend.

I used Star Dust stickles on the bird to make it shine and shimmery.

Zac is 3. (When did that happen??)

Im posting today the card I made for our Godsons 3rd Birthday. This is such a lovely image from All dressed up stamps- which you can find here. It is called It's a Pirates Life.

It was really fun to colour and I love using blues and reds together and I thought it would look good on a circular card base. I used a scalloped circle Nestibilities die from Spellbinders to cut the image and the blue mat- which is from Doodlebug Kraft in colour collection. The ribbon co-ordinated well with the colour of the waves and allowed me to attached the tag which is from Craftwork cards.
I used Doodlebug pendant stickers which I mounted onto black card to stand out and also Doodlebug numbers and letters to spell on today.

I used stickles on the clouds to make them shimmer and added some silver pen to the anchor and swords as well as some gold to other metal objects. I also used white gel pen on the waves to give them a little dimension. You can't really see it on these pictures but I used some pale blue pencil to tint the sky.

I used these promarkers and flexmarkers on the image -
Boat - Tan, Nutmeg, Raw Sienna, Cocoa & Burnt Umber.
Skin - Antique white, Blush, Soft Peach & Coral.
Clothes and flags - True Blue  & Poppy Red.
Flags & Hat - Cool greys 5, 4&3 (1 to shade the white areas)

Sofa so good...

Morning - blimey It's Sunday again already and here is my latest creation using Dr Digi image called Sofa So Good.

I love this image - so many times I've come home to find our dog in this exact position on the sofa... although he's not quite this big to take up the whole chair! I know my Dad will appreciate this card as the dog has always got the best seat in the house, to the extent that when I was a kid I got the floor if the dog had already claimed his spot on the Sofa!! Spoilt creature! It certainly is a dogs life in our houses...

To make this card I used an Anitas round card blank. I used a circle cutter to the background paper which is from KI Memories - Colour theory collection (Possibly one of the oldest sheets of paper I own - reckon I've had it at least 8 years! Hoarder!!) The ribbon is also from my stash!
I glued the ribbon on top of the patterned paper and trimmed it to fit. I put some PVA glue on the edges to stop it fraying. The coloured image I stuck on top with 3d foam. The greeting is from my peel off stash and the Scribble tile letters I got from Hobbycraft.  I added some frosted lace stickles to the stuffing coming from the sofa and also some glaze on the split tea and the dogs tongue.
Finally I added a few doodlebug sequins in shades of brown.

I used these promarkers and flexmarkers -
Dog - Light Fawn, Nutmeg, Saddle Brown, Cocoa. Warm grey 5 for his paws.
Sofa - Tea green, Pastel blue, Carpi blue & Twilight sky.
Tongue - Carmine & Dusky pink
I edged the whole image with warm grey 1.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges -
Suzy Bees bloomin challenge - Something beginning with S (W)
Chocolate, coffee & cards - Animals (2w)
Crafty cardmarkers - Circular cards. (2w)
Stamp & Create - Brown (m)

Anyway - we won't talk about rugby today... the win last night did little to redeem them! Question is who should I know support??

Enjoy the rest of your Sunday and I'll be back soon

Colour Mapping.

Yippee - No Christmas images! Although there were so many ideas and designs that I didn't get around to - I'm kind of want to keep making them! So here is one of the first new cards I have to show you....

I made this card for a friends new baby. The image is a Stamp from Janes Doodles and the papers and letter stickers are from Doodlebug.I thought a round card would work well with trying to make the image float.
I've decided to start listing the Promarkers I used on the image (For my future benefit really!!) and figured I'm already adding a picture of them on here so it would make sense to record them here. I think its officially called Colour Mapping. I hope you don't mind...

Promarkers Colours -
Elephant - Arctic Blue, Powder Blue.
Hippo - Purple Velvet, Orchid, Heather
Lion mane - Mandarin, Pumpkin
Lion - Gold, Sunflower
Giraffe - Magenta, Carmine
Monkey - Nutmeg, Tan
Roof - Moss, Pear Green, Apple.
Boat - Rosewood, Saddle Brown, Nutmeg, Light Fawn.

Promarker Colour combo.

Just a quick post so I can attached this to Pinterest.... I've been practising colouring combos with my promarkers to try and perfect my hair! I printed off a sheets of blank heads from Some Odd Girl and started to colour.... Got a few schemes I like ... Now to put them to use in creating some cards.

I've also been distracted playing with my new gadget this week... I am the proud owner of a Silhouette Cameo... I have been watching lots of tutorials on You Tube and got loads of inspiration and ideas. I love it already and I only know a small percentage of the cool things it can do!!

This week I also got a new stash of crafty paper and embellishments from the new range at Doodlebug. I love all the stuff they produce but as soon as I saw these I HAD to have them! And I NEEDED one of every colour!!

And these below are what I created with them.... I entered them into the Some odd Girl challenges but didn't win... oh well - just have to keep trying!
I thought of the AHA video which was half Black and white cartoon when I was making this card (Not sure why?) but tried to recreate it.All the materials are Doodlebug - with the exception of the "You Rock" which is from Studio Calico. The images are both from Some Odd Girl and coloured with Promarkers.

The papers on this one are from Teresa Collins -Family collection with so Bazzill Black base card. I love these round base cards but don't use them as often as I should. I just added a few sequins and the die cut creating from My Favourite Things - Die-namics.

Right all for now - Speak soon Monkey Mates (:(|)x
