Golden Wedding Anniversary - ADU

Hello -  We have a new challenge starting today at All Dressed Up and as always its an Anything Goes theme as long as you use an ADU image.
Now I have used this image called Happy 50TH to make an Anniversary card for my Parents as it was there Golden wedding anniversary on the 8TH June. To celebrate they hired a house in the Peak District for a week and we all went along for a few nights. We did lots of walking and eating and we were really lucky as the weather was lovely the whole time so we were able to get the dogs tired out!

I mounted the image onto Gold card and used a Sharpie to  colour the greeting. I coloured the flowers with copics and added some gold gems. I also coloured some peels off gold to add the wedding anniversary.

This next photo shows the dimension with the Butterflies a bit better. The butterflies are from the poundshop and I added a little gold pen detail.

I hope you will all join in the new challenge and share your All Dressed Up creations.

I must have Flowers

Morning - There is a new challenge starting at The Paper Shelter and the theme is Flowers. I have used this image called The Florist with a greeting from Dear Lizzy that says I must have flowers.
I recently had a big birthday and got lots of lovely flowers from friends. My favourite flowers are peonies and anmeonies.
I used paper from American Crafts Dear Lizzy Stay colourful collection and I used both sides of the sheet. I covered the join with lace and mounted everything on lilac satin board. I used flowers from The Ribbon Girl to make a bouquet and tied a small bow around it.

I coloured the image with Copics and die cut the image with a My Favourite Things Square die.

I hope you like this card and will join in the with challenge at The Paper Shelter.
See you soon,

Road Works Reg.

Morning - This morning I'm showing you a card I have made using one of the new releases - an image called Road Works Reg.  (Just click on the name to find it in the Dr Digi shop.)
I think he is fabulous - it makes me think of the advert where the builders and bankers have a dance off!

I covered a background card with a piece of paper from My Minds Eye All things chalk collection. I die cut a yellow circle and the image frame from red mirri card using Lawn Fawn Stitched dies. I also used the Lawn Fawn big scripty words die to cut "Big Hugs" from yellow and I added a yellow arrow from Doodlebug sprinkles. I used a silver pen on the image to colour what would be metal and added a greeting from Craftworks card.

I used these promarkers and flexmarkers to colour the image -
Skin - Antique white, blush, soft peach, coral & spice. Warm grey 2 for his beard.
Warm Grey 1- 5 - boots
Warm grey 1 was used to add shading to his "white" t-shirt as well.
Jeans - Capri blue, dove grey & Denim blue.
Hat - Lemon, canary, Summer sun & gold.
Ground - Raw sienna, Sandstone & Cocoa.
Road sign - Poppy

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges -

Thanks for taking a look - don't forget to say hi.

Bite me Vlad.

This is Vlad from Dr Digi. Halloween is only round the corner and there are loads of fab images at Dr Digi that are perfect for the spooky season...  I didn't use my usual skin combo on him as I wanted him to look - well... grey and dead!!

I was originally going to use him for a birthday card with some kind of pun about Counting and birthdays but struggled to word it so maybe I'll will figure that out for another time. But Vlad would be great not only for Halloween cards but also valentines and birthdays.
My other half had the bright idea of using Red nail varnish to make the drops of blood and I think they are pretty effective.  (Although I think my hand cut bats leave a little to be desired... maybe I'll perfect those too!) I die cut a circle from black card stock and placed gold card behind it to appear like the moon. I used some Glittery Doodlebug card stock down the sides.
I used some letters from Doodlebug on mounted these on to white card to make the greeting.

I used these promarkers and flexmarkers to colour Vlad -
Skin -  Antique White & Ice Greys
Sash - Poppy, Ruby & Cardinal Red.
Cape - Purple Velvet & Imperial Purple
Cape & Suit - Cool grey 5,4,3 & Black.
Hair - Black & Egyptian blue.
Icicle to shade shirt.
Gold pen on medal and button.

See you all soon,

U Shine.

Hello World. I am actually at work whilst your reading this. Clever technology isn't it! Speaking of technology - I love this Lightbulb image from Dr Digi. And guess what... IT IS FREE!!! RESULT!

You could use this image for so many occassions - New Home, Passing exams, Valentines or any celebration.

I really wanted the colours to jump off the page so I used a matt black background. Its a great way to use up scraps of paper. And being a Digi image - you can print it to whatever size you need. The big bulb I printed onto Mirri card first and stuck with 3D foam to make it stand out a little more. The smaller bulbs I used silver pen rather than Mirri and glued them to the base. I used a white pen to add the edges, the light cords and also to give the bulb a shine.

I added some Doodlebug letters to say "U SHINE" and finished it off with some co-ordinating twine.

Make sure you take a look at the other images in the Dr Digi shop - All the Bits and bobs are great additions to your crafty collection.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges -
ABC Challenge - O is for Open (ATG)
Cards in Envy - A2 Birthday.
Hiding in my craft room - Super Scraps.
Speedy fox - Use Twine.
