Alistair the Alligator

Good .... Afternoon (Blimey where has this morning gone??!)

Todays Dr Digi card is using Alistair the Alligator.
I've never coloured him up before and wanted to practice doing texture on his skin (Do Alligators have skin??) Anyways - I coloured him and them once the shading was added - I used white pen and the colourless blender pen to try and make him look a little "bumpy". I think it turned out ok although it maybe doesn't show as well on the photo as it does in real life.

The background paper is from My Favourite things Plaid Patterned Merry & Bright. The little flag greeting I cut from white card and stamped with Paper Smooches greeting. The three little green pearls are from Doodlebug.

I used these promarkers to colour Alistair -
Leaf green, Charteuse, Grass, Lush Green & Forest Green
Summer Sun, Gold, Orange
His eyes are Cloud Blue
His claws were done with Cool Grey 1, 4 & 5

Right off to try and make this Sunday afternoon a little more productive than Sunday Morning (But relaxing and being lazy is what Suandays are for right?? )

Naughty or nice List?

Morning - So it is offically less than a month till Christmas so you will all be in the midst of making Christmas cards and pressies no doubt. This card is made using an image called Naughty or Nice?
I think I am probably somewhere in between - Too cheeky to be nice but more mischievous than naughty!!

I used paped from Lawn Fawn Perfectly plaid Christmas pad. I die cut the image using a My Favourite things Die and mounted it on kraft card. The little greeting tabs are sticker from Pink Fresh Oh Joy collection and I mounted these on gold mirri. I also used gold pen on the image and the wooden present to tie it all together. The die cut branches I have had for ages and can't remember where they were from. The little flower was from Hobbycraft.

I used these promarkers and flexmarkers to colour the image -
Skin - Usual combo with baby pink cheeks and nose
Trousers - Poppy, Ruby & Burgundy
Powder blue shading on his shirt.
Boots - Cool greys and black
Braces - Raw Sienna
Cuffs - Linen & Tan
Hair & Beard - Cool grey 1 & 3

So hope you like what I did with Santa and I will see you all again soon,

Little Girls Tea Party

Morning - today is that start of a new challenge at I love Promarkers.  The sponsor is Little Miss Muffet and the theme is Girls Birthday. I have used an image called Swings and Slides Tea for Three

I used a MFT wonky stitched rectangle die to cut the image and mounted this onto black card. I die cut several Lawn Fawn Big Scripty word dies from black and glued them together - I die cut the patterned top layer from the same Lawn Fawn Perfectly plaid paper that I covered the card with.
I glued a green stripy button to the card and used some twine to tie a charm to the card. Finally I added some co-ordinating Doodlebug Enamel dots and a resin butterfly.

I used these promarkers  and flexmarkers to colour the image -
Skin - Usual
Hair -Buttercup, Pineapple crush, Sleigh Bells & Raw Sienna.
Grass & Lush Green
Cloud Blue sky.
Carmine, Baby Pink & Cocktail Pink,
Orchid, Spring Lilac & Purple,
Sky Blue & True Blue,
Poppy
Burnt Sienne
Warm Grey 2, 3, 4 & 5

I hope you like this card and how I have used the image. Now lets see your creations over at the challenge.

Discount digis!!! Get them quick sticks!

Morning All - my post for you today is to let you know about a special discount at All dressed up as they are teaming up with Passionate Paper Creations.

I have used All dressed up - A Star is Born which I printed out three times and cut to decoupage from Lawn Fawn Perfectly Plaid paper.

I found a free template on Google for the baby Onesie shape and cut this from Project life Baby Boy pad. I then glued this to an A5 card base and cut around it. I cut the trims from Yellow card stuck and glued these in place. I then drew the stitching on with white pen. I used pale blue enamel dots to look like the popper fastenings on the Onesie and finally spelt out the babies name using blue Doodlebug stickers.

It was pretty simple to make and Id love to see other creations with this fab digi ... especially as you can get it cheaper than usual!!

Id like to enter this card into the following challenges -
Sasayaki Glitter Challenge - Shaped card
Through the purple haze - layers
Crafty Creations - real or fake stitching.
Double Click - Welcome Baby
Colour Throwdown.
Inky Chicks - Baby Cards
Crafty Cardmarkers - shaped cards.

Thanks for coming by to look at my blog - it is appreciated.
