Tommy Gunn - keepin' it Gangsta!

Hello - its Sunday once again... don't these weekends come and go far too quickly!

Today's card for Dr Digi is using Tommy Gunn just because I have never used him before and thought he should be coloured.  I tried to think of a pun to go with him and searched the internet but although I found many that made me laugh - they weren't suitable for general consumption! So instead I went with a black and gold theme.

I covered a base card with Brick pattern paper from Docrafts Mr Smiths workshop collections. I die cut the skyline from Black and gold and glued them together slightly of line to look like a light glow. I have used a black and gold tag from Noir De Luxe collection from Craftworks Card and also a matching paper bow.
I have also used gold pen on the image and some glaze on his brogues!

I have used these promarkers and flexmarkers to colour Tommy -
Skin - Antique White, Blush, Soft Peach, Coral & Spice
Hair - Chestnut, Henna & Saddle brown.
Suit - Black, Ice greys 1 to 5
Gun and violin case - Blue Grey 3 to 5
Tie & flower - Cerise, Tropical Orchid & Wild Orchid with Grass on the leaf.
Powder blue to shade the white areas.

Hope you like him and I'd love to know if you can think of any witty greetings for him!

All Dressed Up - Christmas Postbox

Hello - Today we launch the first new challenge of 2017 over at All Dressed Up challenge blog.
We have all the usual rules - Anything goes as long as you use an All Dressed Up image and there is even a page of freebies to get you started if you don't already have any of these gorgeous images.

I hope you have all had a lovely Christmas holiday and found some time to get into your crafty stash and create. I have used an image called Christmas Post from All Dressed Up Stamps.

I covered a card base with paper from Pink Fresh - Oh Joy collection. I also cut down a piece of paper from ... and matted it onto black card. I added a strip of Green shimmery ribbon before I attached the image panel. I tied a bow with the ribbon and glued it just on the edge. The greeting is a sticker from Doodlebug and once I had coloured the image I cut around it and attached it to the panel with 3d foam.

I used these promarkers & flexmarkers to colour the image -
Post Box - Red, Poppy, Ruby, Cardinal Red & Burgundy with Cool greys & black.
Hat, Scarf & Letter - Lime green, Pear Green & Emerald green
Kitten - Ice greys
Dog - Saffron & Ivory.
Letter & tie - Powder blue & sky blue.

Hope you join in with our challenge and pop over to the blog to look at all the fantastic creations from the DT.

All Dressed Up 3000th...

Its time to celebrate the All Dressed Up Facebook group having 3000 followers! Wow how huge is that!! And I know why so many of you love these image the same as I do! Wendys images are just ace and a pleasure to colour. I feel very privaledged to be part of the design team. So here is the card I have created with the special image drawn by Wendy for this special milestone... The image is called.... and you can get it by clicking on the name.

The patterned panel of paper is from Lawn Fawn Perfectly Plaid which is one of my favourites right now as its so bright and zingy! I used the stitched embossing folder from The Range on my pale blue card and I used a think strip of green bazzil to edge between the two. I used the Lawn fawn stitched edge die and also Lawn Fawn Big Scripty words stamps and matching die for the greeting. I used a small blue bow from Maggie Holmes and below that I used silicone to glue the Cocktail glass charm which I filled with Icicle stickles. Finally I added a few extra sparkles with the yellow gems dotted around.

I used these promarkers & Flexmarkers to colour the Girls -
Skin -  Antique white, Blush, soft peach, coral and Spice. With Baby pink cheeks.

Funny Easter Bunny

Hello - Its time for a new challenge over at The Paper Shelter and the theme is Easter Time. I have used an image called Funny Easter Bunny. I tried to go along with a pastel theme... well this is as pastel as I get!! You know I'm a bright girl through and through!
This is the first card I've made with these new fancy edge card bases that I got from Create & Craft. I think it matches really well with the egg shaped corners and all the spots.

I coloured the image using my promarkers & Flexmarkers and then used a Friskars cutter to cut part way around the image to allow his big feet and ears to stick out. The papers I've used are both from Simple Stores Hello Baby collection which I cover the base in and then cut a panel from. I used a friskars edge punch on white card to attach to the edges of the panel. I stuck this panel on top of some ribbon from my stash that I made into a bow - so it is similar to the one the Bunny is wearing. The stamped greeting is a freebie I got from a magazine years ago. Finally I added some co-ordinating enamel dots from My Minds Eye.

I used these promarkers and flexmarkers to colour Funny Bunny -
Bunny - Ice Grey 1 & 3
Ears - Blossom & Rose pink
Bow tie - Aquamarine, Frosted Jade & Turquoise.
Egg - Apple green & Meadow green, Lemon & Yello, Cloud blue & Blender.
Cloud blue for edging and shading on white areas.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges -
The Crafters cafe - Easter.
Fan-tastic Tuesday- ATG
Inky Chicks - Happy Easter.

Now go get your entries done and submitted for your chance to win the fabulous prize  - you don't have to use a Paper Shelter image but you can win some !!
