Banksy Claus

Morning all -

Today's card is using Banksy Claus from Dr Digi. This is such a fab image for those tricky teenagers. I've stuck with simple red here but the beauty of digital it can be in any colour!!

I have used paper from Studio Calico paper for the background as it reminded me of more graffitti. The brick pattern paper is from Simple Stories collection called I AM. I mounted this on black card and then added black house boarder.
I used glaze and whilst this was still sticky I added Cosmic Shimmer to make it look wet. I also used Diamond stickles on Santa's fur to give it a sparkle.

I used Red, Poppy and Cardinal red to colour the santa suit and Warm Greys 2 to 5 for his boots and gloves. I also used silver pen for the cannister.

Anyways I better get back to it... lots more cards to make yet before I'm done. Although I have got most of my Christmas shopping done after a mammoth session in Chester this week!! And if anyone is struggling to think of what to get me for Christmas - I'd love a Bansky...

Have a lovely day,

Happy Birthday Birdie.

Hello - Its time for a new challenge at I love Promarkers. And this fortnights sponsor is Little Miss Muffett and I was lucky enough to pick one of the images for the DT and I chose  Polka Dot Pals Rebecca.  I just loved this little girl with the Parrot.

The paper is from a pad I got from The Range and the birds have  a lovely glittery shimmer to them. The spotty paper is from a pad of Studio Calico called Print shop. The ribbon is from my stash and matched perfectly the mirri card that I used with the Happy Birthday die cut from Paper smooches. Finally I cut around the image and added a little resin bird in the top corner.

I used these promarkers and flexmarkers to colour the image -
Skin - Antique white, coral, soft peach, Blush, & Spice with baby pink cheeks.
Hair -  Primrose, lemon, canary & mustard.
cardigan -  Pink Mittens & Baby pink
Trousers -  Apple cider, apple, green shoots & Honeydew.
Shoes - Warm grey 1 & 5

I used these Promarkers and Flexmarkers to colour the image -
Skin - Antique White, Blush, Soft Peach, Coral & Spice.
His Hair - Sandstone, Cinnamon & Cocoa
Her Hair - Sandstone, Cinnamon & Sleigh Bells

The Fabulous dancing Squirrel.

I have a massive confession to make... I made this card for todays new challenge over at I LOVE PROMARKERS using an image from this fortnights sponsor Fabrika Fantasy called Dancing Squirrel.
What I didn't think of at the time was that the theme for the challenge was to use Pastel colours...

In my defence - life is a little manic at the mo!
I've used Simple Stories paper from the I heart summer collection and teamed it with the wood effect paper from Glitz and a little strip of orange card. I die cut a circle of pastel blue shimmer buzzkill using a lawn fawn stitched circle die. The wooden heart is from studio calico and I added a little yellow gem. Finally I added the wooden greeting using some pin flair glue.

I used these promarkers & flexmarkers to colour the squirrel -
Pumpkin, sunset & berry red,
Grass- aniseed, apple green & forest green.
Warm grey 2 for shading
Edged with cloud blue
Baby pink & antique pink on mouths and ears.
Flowers - canary & poppy

I hope you like this card and get chance to join in the challenge... Don't forget the theme though - like me!!

Luxurious Fairy from The Paper Shelter.

Morning - There is a new challenge starting today over at The Paper Shelter and the theme is a real favourite that you all love... Fairies! And there are some fabulous fairy images to pick from like this one I've used called Exotic Enchantment.

I was  asked to make this card for a friend at work to give his wife for there Wedding anniversary - which when we looked was celebrated with wood - hence the little wooden hearts from Studio Calico that I have used. I also die cut the letters from Balsa Wood - This took a few goes through my sizzix with letters from Die-namics to cut right though but it worked pretty well.

The background paper is from My Minds Eye On Trend 2 collection and is a lovely navy colour with gold foil. I used a corner rounder punch on the base layer. I used the greeting from the same collections 6x6 pad and mounted this on pink satin to make it stand out. I also used this to make the little flag in the top corner.

I used some Diamond stickles on the wings of the fairy and a little Gold pen on the hair clip. Finally I added a few gems and dots of stickles to look like she was sprinkling fairy dust.
I used these Promarkers and Flexmarkers to colour the image -
Skin - Antique White, Blush, Soft Peach, Coral & Spice.
Hair - Buttercup, Pineapple Crush, Sleigh Bells & Raw Sienna.
Dress & Bow - Pink Mittens, Pink Carnation, Cerise, Magenta & Hot Pink.
Wings  - Honeydew.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges -

I would love to see all your entries into the challenge...

Run Derek Run - Did he get a Fitbit too??

Hello - Today's card is using Run Derek Run. Its a lovely Sunny fresh day here which makes a change from the Rain in the North West lately but it also means there is no excuse not to get those trainers on and get out for a jog. Apparently, Friday was the the day when most people give up on there New Years Resolutions, but I've done pretty well keeping mine so far! All our family got Fitbits for Christmas and blimey it has made us all obsessed and talk about competitive?! We are all trying to out do each other with how many steps a day we can do so this card is perfect for any of my troop at the minute. (My Dad was caught jogging on the spot to get his totals up and the dog is now hiding from him as he is so tired from going out walking all the time!)

To make this card I cut a large panel of the Studio Calico paper from Here and Now collection and mounted this on to paper from Pebbles Happy Day collection. (I treated myself to a stack of new paper pads over the hols!) I used a friskars punch to create the edge (Which has gone a little wonky at the end!) From the same Pebbles pad I cut the greeting panel and also the blue paper it is mounted on. I stuck this to the card with 3D foam.
I added some yellow chevron ribbon from American Crafts and also some Doodlebug sprinkles in yellow and orange arrows and triangles. Finally I used some glaze on his glasses and gold pen on the safety pin.

I coloured Derek using these promarkers and flexmarkers -
Skin - Antique White, Blush, Soft Peach, Coral & Spice.
T-shirt - Capri blue, Cadet Blue & Egyptian blue.
Shorts & Mustache - Cool greys.
Headband - Summer Sun & Vanilla, Bright orange & Burnt Orange.
Eyes - Powder blue

Gluteus Maximus

This is Gluteus Maximus from Dr Digi.
Look at him... all poised like a coiled spring - ready for any action that comes his way! He is certainly no Bum lazing around.

I ... on the other hand am quite the opposite this Sunday Morning and may just hide in my bed today...  I spent all yesterday at the Rugby club watching the local match and then England's World cup game. There were a few local bands playing and a BBQ set up too, so obviously I also had to partake in a little social drinking....

How ace is this image? I loved colouring him and I kept it quite traditional with Reds and Greys but I liked the touch of gold. I'm pleased with the way they have come together and its still a masculine card whilst being bright and colourful.

The 3 different patterned papers on this card are all from the Print Shop collection by Studio Calico. (Which I got for TK Maxx! A big 12x12 pad for £7.99 - Bargain!) I mounted the black grid onto Black bazzill and the red patterened paper onto red Bazzill just to make it stand out a little more. I glued 3 strips of Ribbon from a collection from American Crafts to form tabs and I added some yellow homemade Enamel dots. The greeting is a clear sticker from Kaiser Crafts and they are fab! I bought several packs of different occassions!

To colour Gluteus I used these promarkers and flexmarkers -
Skin - Antique White, blush, soft peach, coral, spice.
Body armour & Hat - Ice greys
Cape and plume - Poppy, Ruby & Cardinal
Sandles, skirt & Spear - Raw Sienna, Tan & Saddle brown.
T-shirt - Warm Grey 1-4

I also used a gold pen on the spear and his buttons.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges -

Through the purple Haze - Happy Birthday (m)

Hope you all have a lovely day,

ATTENTION! IT'S DADS DAY!

Morning - again I'm running a little late... I've worked it out though - it's when I work late shifts as I really don't like getting up out of my bed!! I certainly would not appreciate Corporal Clegg from Dr Digi yelling at me to do my PTI!

Well as its Father's Day - I had to post a card for the Dads. And don't they all love planes and military shows! It was also the perfect excuse to colour Corporal Clegg in with a red and blue theme. I like him in these colours but I'm not sure which Country he serves...
I can't express strongly enough how glad I am that I found Dr Digi images. They are perfect for all the Dads and Lads cards!

I made this card on a DL card and realised I have not made a DL card for Donkeys years... I used to do them all the time but now my go to shape is square 6x6 or C5. I think the DL has gone out of fashion because all paper pads are square and as you can see I have got a small join visible behind Corporal Clegg but you can't really notice it on the striped paper. Think i'm going to go on a mission to bring the DL back!!!

The papers are both from Doodlebug Stars & Stripes collection and the letters are from the Skinny collection at Doodlebug. I die cut the plane from more paper from the collection using a Cuttlebug Die that I've had for a while. The wooden exclamation mark is from Studio Calico which I bought at Hobbycraft. The Black swirl gems are also from Hobbycrafts collection. I used a little glaze on the hat, shoes and cain.

I coloured Corporal Clegg with these Promarkers & Flex markers -
Skin - Antique White, Blush, Soft peach, Coral & Spice.
Clothing - Red, Poppy, Ruby, Cardinal & Burgandy.
Leather - Saddle Brown & Henna
Shoes - Ice Greys & Black
The blue details - Egyptian blue, True Blue & Azure.
I also used a gold Pilot pen to colour the buckles, cain and embellish his hat and buttons.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges -
Digi Galore - Men.
Krafty Hands - For the Dad's
My Sheri Crafts - Masculine
Art Impression - Red , white & Blue.
Case this sketch - Layout.
Pennys Paper Challenge - ATG
Crafty Gals - Red white & blue.
Cards 4 Guyz - Fathers Day
Die Cutting Divas - Masculine Theme.

Right now I have to go and see my Dad and if I'm lucky the parents might make me brunch!!
See you next week
